    What I have to say is fact and no lie. Yes, Psalm 12 v 5 is true as like all other scriptures about the poor and needy in God 's Living Word is true and powerful. But! This the rich just bluntly refuse today, treating the poor and needy like mongrel dogs, kicking them out of the way. As soon as the poor cry out, they are ignored and considered as the scrap of this world. No one can with all honesty before the Living Eternal God dispute the truth of this. But what I can say is, the day is coming where the poor and needy shall rejoice and the rich who shut their ears to the cries of the poor and needy, will be slaughtered by the Sword of God 's Living Word Jesus Christ. Which true believer can stand up and say that as it stands in Matthew 25 v 31 to 46, James 2 and James 5 v 1 to 6, etc is a lie? Those who ignore these scriptures, will receive what God has promised, and that is eternal damnation.

    Context is everything: The nearest antecedent to 'them' is words not the righteous or us. Therefore it is the Words of God that are preserved from age to age.

    Rodney, it is BECAUSE His Word is pure that we don't keep His commandments. "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one." Romans 4:10 It is our nature to sin, but if we ask God for a new nature through Jesus Christ, Lord and Savior, He gives us a new nature by giving us His Holy Ghost that makes us to love righteousness and hate all sin. Praise the Lord God Almighty for His mercy and savaltion by His grace!!!

    It appears that Michael Massi's comment is right on. Rightly dividing the word of God is extremely important when studying the Holy Bible. This is the church age of grace. I can understand why some feel people are not in Christ and don't deserve Heaven if they mix with the worldly things after accepting Christ. Those individuals do not lose their salvation, but rather lose their rewards at the Judgment Seat of Christ. They will be saved from fire only. Once you are "born again" into God's family, you cannot be unborn, the same as to why you can't be unborn from your earthly parents. It is a permanent thing. I encourage you all to study the King James Bible and study with those who read from it. There are no contradictions in it, which is why there is less confusion. Study the dispensation of the Lord's Words ( 2 Tim 2:15) because He told us that it would be inspirational and preserved forever ( Psalms 12:6-7) God bless all of you and live in His words that were left here for us.

    I believe that, first of all, JESUS protects all of us, preserving us. BEING HIS disciple has responsibilities. Being involved in HIS MINISTRY will bring opposition which is no match for JESUS.
  • Timothy Wayne George on Psalms 12 - 11 years ago
    The words of the Lord are like silver in a furnace, purified seven times. Thank God as seven represents completion, the Lord will fight our battles completely, even thou the vilest of men are exalted on all sides. The Lord will protect the poor, and the needy, as they sigh unto Him. The name of the Lord is a strong tower, and the righteous run to it, and is safe. Praise the Lord!!!

    @Brad Holland,
    To study the differences between the King James Version 1611 (authorized version) and the other versions is something you should do with diligence ( Hebrews 11:6; 2 Timothy 2:15) and I believe you will conclude that the King James Version 1611 (authorized version) is the only inspired word of God as I have. As for the vulgate text it is from the Alexandria manuscripts (Egypt) Latin based that the catholic church uses for their version translated by origen and others that is proven to be corrupt by most honest and true bible translators. The King James Version 1611 (authorized version) is translated from the manuscripts of Antioch ( Acts 11:26) (Textus Receptus) where you will find that most honest and true translators conclude to be correct. As for the original text there are no original texts and when someone can produce them I might start altering my thinking on this subject. God is never to concern about the originals, see what god does with originals and how he preserves his word ( Exodus 32:19, Exodus 34:1; Psalms 12:6,7; Matthew 24:35; Peter 1:19) more original writings ( Jeremiah 30:1, Jeremiah 36:27, 28, 32). God has preserved his word in the King James Version 1611 (authorized version). When a person comes to conclusion that all versions are of God they have not studied the scriptures with diligence. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways ( James 1:8). There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end there of is the ways of death ( Proverbs 14:12; 2 Timothy 2:15).

    "Wow!" This is the Word that I read upon awaking 12/26/12. I was in (awe) to see it being fulfilled in my own life at present. If say I had doubt? I happened upon it again this morning on 12/27/12 and realized I had actually witnessed some of this Word become reality and come to pass (more than once) during the day, prior. I heard the Lord say: "did I not visit you with the Truth (thrice), have you any doubt as to the Word being alive?" I am truly, in "awe." Although, I must say, I've believed John.3:16 since He revealed God to me and saved my soul some 38 years ago. Some of my favorite scriptures are John 17, all and verse 9, stand out loud. He is alive today even throughout eternity. "God keeps that which (all of us) have given unto Him unto that day: Hallelujah!
