everyone else reading this,do you possess everlasting life now?Have all your sins been paid for?Is there anything to keep you from entering heaven? If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.John8:36 Our service to God is out of gratitude, with nothing to merit salvation.Heirs by grace of God only.

"LORD, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill? He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart." Dear Brother Bill, I don't know why this is so hard to understand: the whole reason for our being left here after we're saved, is to show forth the grace of God by a really converted life, BY GOOD WORKS! Its not competition w/grace!

"And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it." If the Lord comes and finds no fruit, how shall it be known what kind of man you are? Certainly not one in His likeness!

Two forms of righteousness,"they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God."Demons appearing as ministers of righteousness, based on works,2Cor.11:15."much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one,Jesus Christ".Gifts are free!

"And the king said unto Araunah, Nay; but I will surely buy it of thee at a price: neither will I offer burnt offerings unto the LORD my God of that which doth cost me nothing." 2 Samuel 24:24 TRUE TRUE TRUE!!! No one is redeemed or can come at all to the Father except through the blood of Christ; but no one just slips in without doing righteousness. Its not a contest, but proof of grace wrought.

Who, is "he" in the following verses, the Lord Jesus. "if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void". Having once violated any law we have no righteousness. Believers receive an imputed righteousness which was bought by Christ.By the grace of God the payment is put on our account, never earned. Our service to God is out of gratitude, with nothing to merit salvation.Heirs by grace only.

"LORD, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?" When the rich young man came to Jesus asking what he must do to have eternal life, the Lord told him, You know the commandments...do these and you shall live." Afterwards He spoke directly to the young man's innermost thoughts, and his covetousness. What part of these things David mentions, are too hard for us to live by?

Pamela; The Worthiness here spoken of refers to a clean conscience, and a good and right heart that receives the Word, and brings forth the fruit thereof; which is the character and behavior made in the image and likeness of God. I encourage all of us to read carefully 2 Peter 1, about what it means to walk with the Lord, and not stumble! and how to "prove ourselves worthy" of His Calling upon us.
  • Pamela zuckerman on Psalms 15 - 7 years ago
Examine your self to see if you are worthy...of course, without the sacrifice of Jesus, none of us is righteous.
  • Michael on Psalms 15 - 7 years ago
Who am I before Lord. The Psalm give us power to assess ourselves. I am impressed to see many people are taking oath of office while reading this phrase.

I like this passage because it tells us how we should walk in Jesus and where our heart should be in God.
  • Irene123 on Psalms 15 - 7 years ago
V.4 - "a vile person is contemned (i.e. condemned). We are not to hate the person, but the sin. It was ALWAYS God's judgment that Amaleks, Amorites, Philistines, etc, were to be destroyed; only God knows if a soul will be converted later on. These people all were the O.T. type of sin, just as the 'leven' in the exodus from Egypt was a type of sin.

To Kathy on being 'citizens of Jesus ..'; Quote: "if we can....."; we can; there's no 'if' about it. Act 2:38. His Spirit ( Holy Ghost) gives us all this power - without fail (unless we fail Him). I just wanted to clarify this for others reading it. Many on here have just started reading His word. That's what His Spirit is for: to empower us.

wow as i continually reading the word an also look upon the commentary i gets the fullness in understanding what the word really means. how are we surppose to treat our neighbors. anything that comes out our mouth against our neighbor can not only hurt them but ourselves as well. i would like to think that there is a calling on everyones life, we just have to trust in our savior to cleanse us.
  • Southern Sir on Psalms 15 - 8 years ago
It's amazing how I think I'm living a good and deserving life treating everyone how I want to be treated, but then I read and truly meditate on Ps. 15, I greatly missed the mark of a good man worthy of Gods mercy.

GOD is faithful and real. He knows our needs. God loves us all. My husband left me and I had to pay a check of 1600 that I used to put out to help him and the court told me I was going to jail in 30 days if I didn't pay it. I prayed and read the bible and in 30 days God blessed me to pay it on the day I was going to be thrown into satan pits. God is real I love him with my whole heart and life forgive and forget God will take care of the enemy 's trust God he is the joy of peace!
