You have solid points here, that are contributed by the Scriptures you given.
But in all fairness KJV has discrepancies too,
These translators were men learnt in the letter, it doesn't imply they were obedient to the Grace of God in the working of sanctification of the Spirit, obedience unto righteousness unto holiness to the new creature, but quite the opposite according to Scripture, 2Cor 3:6 could God used them? yes, even as God used Nebuchadnezzar
In the uses of Neb, this reveals to us that God has a secret way of using the wicked for His greater purposes, in this case, punishing Israel for their continuous disobedience to the manifestation of the Grace of God given under the Old Covenant. Hebrews tell us, the Grace of His words did not profit them because of unbelief in the Light. Psalms 19:7,8
This Word of God that is pure, tried in the furnace of the earth 7 times; that you so zealously speak of
Declares 1Cor 2:9-13 --- The Grace of God, the True Light that appears to all mankind, which is the living manifestation of His 2nd coming bringing us salvation, Hebrews 9:28 His spiritual appearances within our hearts, the working out of Matt 11:27
The Spirit alone is the interpreter of what He has inspires.
How much more so now, with the coming of Christ, we have the fullest of Grace & Truth reveal, whose beginning is as a tiny grain of mustard Seed in our hearts, yet; if believe in & obeyed grows by the operations of His Spirit to our profit, by faith in hearing the Word of God in our hearts. This is the sure Word of prophecy that Peter refers too!
And if not obeyed, then we will receive a just recompense of reward as they did...indeed, even more so according to Hebrews 10:29 Hebrew 12:25
Do some research in England during this moment of the reformation, when the KJV was written, their fruits/works declare who servants they are.
It says all should be treated the same with no favoritism. A certain political group virtue signals that some of a certain skin color were enslaved by some rich people in their own political group about 150-250 years ago. But all those people are dead. No one they're referring to are alive to give any such reparations back to, except they assume that by giving it to descendants then somehow something is made right? You can't change the past and it seems wrong to steal from one group to pay others who were never enslaved. It also seems wrong to show favoritism and act like if you have a certain skin shade that you deserve more sympathy or more money or pandering. What we see on TV is a circus. The Japanese and Germans enslaved and killed people only 81 years ago, but people somehow aren't demanding money for that, but for something twice as long ago. Meanwhile, there are child slaves coming across the southern border trafficked from cartels and other criminals but people aren't as upset about that either. There are also people enslaved right now in China, countries in Africa and other places that don't have people as upset about either. They are alive, and are imprisoned. There are even people in the US itself imprisoned as slaves who had no trial and just happened to be at the politically wrong place at the wrong time, and they are still alive too. What I see is amazing hypocrisy about money and privilege and victimhood as a form of self-worship as if somehow one who was never a slave was harmed, rather than actually helping current slaves alive now. God bless.
I would like to add to what Gigi and Richard has shared with the focus on your last question.
"how can one know that God exists if no one has seen him?"
First I would like to draw your attention to Psalms 19:1-4. Carefully read it.
For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
( EVERY PERSON CAN BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE TO KNOW THAT GOD EXIST AND THAT HE HAS PLACED US HERE).
For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
( MAN, WITHOUT THE BENEFIT OF THE SCRIPTURE IS ACCOUNTABLE TO KNOW THERE'S GOD BY THE THINGS THAT ARE MADE AND FUNCTION.)
AGAIN Verse 19. Because that which may be known of God is MANIFEST IN THEM; for God hath shewed it unto them.
CREATION IS DESIGNED!!
Job 38:8-11.
Or who shut up the sea with doors, when it brake forth, as if it had issued out of the womb?
When I made the cloud the garment thereof, and thick darkness a swaddlingband for it,
And brake up for it my decreed place, and set bars and doors,
And said, Hitherto shalt thou come, but no further: and here shall thy proud waves be stayed?
GOD CONTROLS THE FLOODS AND THE WAVES, HE DRAWS A LINE AND CALLS THEM BACK.
More verses;
Job 12:7-10.
Job 26:7-8.
This evil world we live in denies the glory of God with its evolution theory and says it all came together by accident.
My friends where I used to live would often study Psalms in particular to see how many places were talking about Christ in particular; as opposed to God the Father and perhaps the Holy Spirit. It seemed much like hair splitting at times (although things like Psalm 22 are clear prophetically indicating Christ in His sufferings and later Millennial period in the future).
I have been doing a Psalms project and am about half way through. David's Psalms in particular often talk about things that could either relate to Christ; and/or himself. Prophetically the amount these things intersect is quite interesting; and is not limited to Psalms; it is found in Isaiah and many other texts as well. This is another proof that no man could possibly invent the Bible; and the fact that much prophecy has multiple future applications is a further dimension bolstering that point.
You could go to Romans 1 of course where the Godhead and knowledge thereof is said to be clear to all. ( Romans 1:19).
That corresponds to the message in Psalm 19.
Interesting in my opinion there seems to be less conceptually today in the "church age" or at least in what I have read and talked about with others the understanding of God the Father in the Godhead. Maybe it is my issue; I can see how God so loved the world from John 3:16 but of course we go through Christ even though we see God in Him and by the Spirit living in us. I find it interesting that before coming to faith I saw God in nature but didn't understand what was wrong with the world (didn't see my own sin at the time very clearly or at least only in specific areas). Once I came to faith I realized that it was only evidence of God I understood previously and not Christ as He was at all. Only later did I realize that I didn't know God at all before then after I understood Christ was in reality God in the flesh. Hope that makes sense! Now I can only anticipate the day when I am released from this old sinful flesh into glory!
Psalm 19 along with Romans 1 demonstrate that all of the universe testifies to the whole world of the presence of God as well as to His order to the design of the universe. We can; therefore make a transition from the One who created the laws of nature to the written law and statutes ordained by God. (The word statute apparently means a specific enactment of a law).
Some degree of apologetics here is in order to explain the most common objection to the statement of the sun and its apparent movements here on earth. (see also Job 9:7). Often this is dismissed as a superstitious viewpoint of the earth being the center of the universe with the sun revolving around it. When taking into account the movement of our galaxy; for example we see how the sun moves through it's own "circuit" as it were through our local system of stars and how in fact our galaxy moves in its cluster of surrounding galaxies through the universe. So; therefore there is a certain pattern that it has in regard to the bigger picture as the earth has. We also need to remember the verse in Joshua when the sun stopped for a day and the moon ( Joshua 10:13) as well a when the sundial returned back to where it was ( 2 Kings 20:1-11). There are historical accounts as well of supernatural events such as the sun and moon turning dark during the crucifixion in different parts of the world.
Notwithstanding; of course it is clearly not a "bridegroom" as verse 5 indicates; so we need to take symbolic language if literal cannot b taken as should be the rule in all scripture!
Note how law; fear; statutes and judgment are all things which we should think upon. This is the sentiment of verses 9 to 11. We are not given an indication what are "presumtous" sins (v. 13) or "secret faults." (v. 12). We do realize that in meditating on the Lord we are focused on Him and this readiness keeps us from slipping (see meditating day and night verse Joshua 1:8).
Note Genesis 4:4 "._..._respect unto Abel & his offering:"
Genesis 4:5 "But unto Cain & his offering._._."
Genesis 4:7
It seems to clearly say it was the person, giving it & how. There are other times GOD didn't accept bad attitudes, behavior nor their sacrifices, or offerings. Hosea 8:13, Jeremiah, Amos 5:22, Malachi 1:10,
Isn't it interesting how when Jesus was helping people, healing & teaching, His brothers in the Temple also were likewise ready to kill Jesus making Jesus sacrifice acceptable to GOD & not their own? Mark 12, Hebrews 12,
Proverbs 4:20-23, "My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life."
Isaiah 40:29-31, "He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."
Only in the LORD God can we find our strength, our healing, our hope, our joy, and our peace. God will "keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee." Isaiah 26:3.
Thoughts may enter into our head through a temptation, including an opportunity to sin that we didn't even expect or something we didn't plan for, but we still have a choice. It's a choice to dismiss those, to pray it away, to replace it with wholesome thoughts, and a choice to walk away from temptation. 1 Corinthians 10:13
I have wondered the same thing about dreams, for example, because they too are thoughts and we appear to have no choice or control of it. I don't believe we can sin in dreams, but can through thoughts while awake. I also believe someone taking drugs or alcohol and is in a weird state of consciousness is 100% responsible for their sin even if they don't remember it. That is one of the dangers of taking things that lower our inhibitions. The verse James 1:15 explains it well how a temptation in a sense develops into or gives birth to sin.
Hi Donna, I agree. We do sin in thought, word and deed, and in things we have failed to do. Jesus said about adultery, if one lusts in their hearts (thinks lustful thoughts) they have already committed adultery. So, He is saying that thoughts of sinful things are sinful for us and we are to confess and ask for God's help in cleansing our minds from such thoughts. These sins of thoughts just go to reveal our sinful nature in us. It brings forth sin even when we least expect it. This is what is called "moral depravity". Even when we are not actively sinning in thought word and deed, we are still sinful in each moment because of the depravity of our being from this sinful nature that is part of us. In heaven, we will be rid of this sinful nature, Thank the Lord!
Dear Donna. Thoughts are thoughts and you can't stop them coming into your mind. Some are ours, some are put there by satan and some by God. When you realize that a thought is sinful just throw it away. If you don't and keep it in your mind and start "working" on it, it will eventually go down into your heart and then possibly will lead you to commiting a sin. So once you start working on it (which means that you have accepted that idea), it becomes a sin. ( James 1:14-15)
A friend once said that metaphor "You can't prevent birds sitting on the branches of your tree but you can send them away."
My granddaughter asked me a question( & I couldn't just say go ask your mother):if you think about a sin but don't actually commit it , is this a sin also ? What about if you don't know that what was thought about is a sin, also if you don't follow through with the action of committing. I told her that if one doesn't know that thought or action was indeed a sin, one can pray & ask for forgiveness when one discovers it. If one knows that the action is a sin if committed ,pray for forgiveness for the thought .I think thoughts of committing is a sin as well as if the action results in committing a sin. One can ask in prayer for forgiveness for thought or action. Preferably, don't think or commit. We aren't perfect but should make every effort to avoid sin by thought or action.I also brought it to my daughter's ( her Mom) attention. My granddaughter is very intelligent child& is capable of understanding.
God uses parables, and symbolism through his word.
We, through the working or the Holy Spirit, have to break down the symbolism to make all scriptures agree with themselves.
Psalms 19:1 The heavens show his handy work ....
John 3:13 No man has ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is IN HEAVEN.
Colossians 1:27 ....this mystery ....CHRIST IN YOU ....
YOU and I (the heavens) show his handy work and glory
Psalms 19:2 Day unto day uttereth speech, night unto night sheweth knowledge.
Literal day cannot speak, nor literal night show knowledge.
You and I speak, by the working of the Holy Spirit.
Psalms 12:4 Who have said, With our tongue we shall prevail, our lips are our own, who is Lord over us.
Philippians 2:13 For it is God that WORKETH IN YOU (this mystery, Christ in you) both TO WILL and TO DO his good pleasure.
Psalms 139:12 Yea the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.
Psalms 19:4 Their (speech and knowledge)(Christ in you) line have gone through out all the earth, and their word (Christ in you), in them (You and I) (Christ in you) he hath set a tabernacle (you are the temple of God 1 Corinthians 3:16) for the SUN (the Father).
Revelation 21:22 And I saw no temple there in: For the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the TEMPLE OF IT (Christ in you).
Psalms 19:5 Which as a bridegroom cometh out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.
Isaiah 61:10 I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul (body, Christ in you) shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation (Christ in you), he hath covered (blood of Christ) me with the rob of righteousness (Christ in you), as a BRIDEGROOM decketh himself with ornaments (Christ in you), and as a BRIDE (You and I) adorneth herself WITH HER JEWELS (Christ in you).
Sometimes I feel led to answer a question or reply for others who will read the response, seeking answers.
May The truth of GOD, always prevail above all of our own words.
Sometimes I feel led to wait to respond, like on this delayed reply. I don't necessarily remember a discussion in these pages with "Ken". I also didn't want to be appearing as gloating over. I also didn't want you to feel I hadn't received & welcomed your kind words, encouragement & well needed affirmation.
Yes, you're correct. There are some who seemingly have their mind & hearts determined on their own outcome & seek validation. This site I pray will be full of GOD's truth, HIS HOLY Words & HIS Words prevail! I pray GOD keeps us from our own sinful decisions & pursuits.
Genesis 1:7, could it be that because HE hadn't made the "lights in the Firmament" yet? Genesis 1:15-18, that it doesn't mention seeing it until Genesis 1:31. Could it also be because the firmament wasn't completed yet, & possibly rather empty?
...I would encourage you to pray throughout each day, for the salvation of your mom, but to do as it says "Pray without ceasing." ( 1 Thessalonians 5:17), so to keep praying until God answers, no matter how many days or years that might be.
And in the mean time give her the commandments that she can see her sin:
Psalms 19:7 "The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple."
Keeping the law is not was saves us, but "The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul" because it shows us our sin, our need for a savior, and the godly sorrow that works repentance to salvation ( 2 Cor 7:10), is for having broken that law - which is why it says:
Galatians 3:24 "Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith."
Providing we're able to convince one there is a God by his creation,
Psalms 19:1.
Romans 1:19-20.
Perhaps here's a few of many verses that shows the God of the Bible is that God.
Genesis 13:14-15. And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward:
For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed (FOR EVER.)

But, The LORD liveth, which brought up and which led the seed of the house of Israel out of the north country, and from all countries whither I had driven them; and they shall dwell in their own land.
And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.

Only in the LORD God can we find our strength, our healing, our hope, our joy, and our peace. God will "keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee." Isaiah 26:3.
A friend once said that metaphor "You can't prevent birds sitting on the branches of your tree but you can send them away."

God uses parables, and symbolism through his word.
We, through the working or the Holy Spirit, have to break down the symbolism to make all scriptures agree with themselves.

I'm out of characters I hope you see the picture.

Thank you.

Psalms 19:1, Daniel 12:3,

For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed (FOR EVER.)

And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.
Philippians 2:10
That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

Comment by Mishael: I pray for angels to guard the 4 corners of my home. I have never had any demonic manifestations for 36 years. God gave us DOMINION; and Jesus gives us HIS AUTHORITY to to stop satanic activity immediately.
