Bill; why the accusation? and why do you attack me? Haven't I written good things from the mind of the Lord in His Word? I do come to Jesus and seek Him continually, and He is my Lord and Saviour and my best Friend! What was it exactly that I wrote, that makes you say such things? Answer me! What did I write that would make you think I don't come to Jesus or have life? Everyone else also, tell me!

This Psalm which the Spirit spoke through David is the cry of the Anointed Himself, and of all who are in Him, as long as we are in this present evil world. The devil and his seed will vent out their hatred and violence unto death without any feeling: there is never enough with them. But our God will bring us up again and deliver us from their schemes and save us because we trust in Him. Rev. 2:10

Dan; In nearly every place where the LORD speaks about the incurable evil hearts of unbelief and defiance against His Spirit in the Prophets; He concludes with foretelling of the day when He finally brings Israel to everlasting repentance and reconciliation with Him when Christ is revealed from heaven in power and great glory. FROM THAT DAY FORWARD ISRAEL WILL KNOW THEIR LORD AND SAVIOUR IS JESUS.

Hello Dan; the part you referenced in Jeremiah has indeed already happened, and continues because of the Law of the broken Covenant ( Deut. 28; Lev. 26; etc.); and is appointed by God to come to the full in "the time of Jacob's Trouble" when the "transgressors are come to the full." When Jesus returns, He is coming back to Jerusalem: then will all the Nations bring back the Jews on their shoulders!

ADisciple: Clearly the prophesy in Jer. ch16 has not yet happened. Do you have any idea what verses 14/15 are talking about: Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that it shall no more be said, The LORD liveth, that brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt. But, The LORD liveth, that brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north, and from all the land..

The verse you are talking about has to do with after the Lord returns, and has been reconciled to His people Israel in front of the whole world. Until that time, the Nations' esteem of Israel' DISOBEDIENT will continue as it has till now, by God's decree. Read Deuteronomy 28 and Leviticus 26. The punishments and the curse are come to them because of impenitent defiance against God's commandments.

Mr. Diffin and Dan; lastly, it is not going to be by picking apart translations that you will find the salvation of God, nor by being Jews does it guarantee you a reserved seat up in front! But he that DOES the will of the Father; which is to BELIEVE ON HIM WHOM HE HAS SENT. Dan (cont.); when the Translators decided on a "rendering" of a word; as "Pierced;" for an act of violence done to Christ; why should that become a point for you to be willing to deny the Lord? When Jesus rose from the dead, He kept the nail prints in His hands and feet! Only the Christ was to rise from the dead after bearing the sins of the world! You put yourself in a very dangerous place!

Dan; The Hebrew Bible that is around today, isn't the whole word of God; for it is missing the New Testament! And when you talk to an Orthodox Jew, and ask for the meaning of ANY of the Scriptures referring to Christ; he will have very strange answers for everything, and every explanation INSTEAD OF JESUS! They don't believe the Scriptures, but twist them out of all meaning, just to deny Christ!

Dan; I told you but you didn't hear; why do you want to hear it again? The Hebrew words being translated into the Greek (Septuagint) and then into English required understanding through the Spirit, as well as "book learning" knowledge of the languages. Even if you're only an English native speaker you know that the Language is more than just letters and rules of grammar, but it conveys thoughts.

ADisciple: All I am asking is for correct translations. Only the original Hebrew is the true word of G-d, not a translation. Look at Jeremiah 16:19:

Verse 22: The primary purpose of meeting together with fellow brothers and sisters is to praise Jehovah God and to offer him worship.

What kind of Churches are people going to, that teach their members such things? Since when is reproof and rebuke of someone sowing evil thoughts against the LORD considered the devil's accusations? How do some fancy themselves Believers, and not have the most fundamental fear of God and jealousy of His honor and integrity? But instead, are ready to put to death him who gives a right answer!

What is pleasing to God Almighty is for us to fear Him and keep His commandments; and believe His report concerning His Son in the Scriptures! What also makes the Lord stand up in honor of His servants, is when they are filled with the Holy Spirit, and boldly and accurately TELL THE PEOPLE THEIR SINS! Stephen was a great example of this. If we seek to please men we shouldn't be Christ's servants!

Proverbs 26:17 "He that passes by, and meddles with strife belonging not to him, is like one that takes a dog by the ears." Like the one who answers a matter before he hears it, those who butt in to other people's business, and then presume to take sides without first knowing the matter; are looking to get bit. There's too much misguided tolerance of false teaching and open opposition to the Word

Leslie (cont.); Who were the ones who were constantly coming around to oppose and contradict the Lord Jesus, and impugn His goodness and mercy and divine ministry? Who were the ones that said He did everything by the power of the devil, and was deceiving the people? How did the Lord always answer and speak to that kind; both through His Prophets, and in person? The truth rebukes the devil's works.

Leslie; rebuking is not accusing; and a regular duty in defending the Glad Tidings of Jesus Christ. If you had read the whole history of this thread, you would see that some were castigating "the whole Christian interpretation" of the Scriptures as if it is an intentional twisting of the words to support believing in Christ. Having no desire to believe their only interest is to harass and contend.

Who is the accuser of the brethren? You know. Does the comment you left Dan please God Almighty? You stand before Christ alone to account for your life at the end of this life. Be careful what your tongue is saying. God bless you exceedingly abundantly above all you could ever ask or think.

Dan; go and quarrel with yourself! You have been answered better than you deserve, and you still want to argue. So we will see whose word stands when we are all brought before Christ to give account of ourselves and every word! As for me, I believe the Scriptures of the Prophets, and the eye-witness testimony of the Apostles and Saints of Jesus Christ. But all who disobey will die in their sins!

Dear Dan; Titus 1:14 "Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth." I most certainly answered you very well; but you don't like the answer! Why don't you then stay with a crowd you're more comfortable with; like Cain and the Pharisees? But be advised; God scorns the scorner, but gives grace to the lowly, and makes wise the simple.

Wow! Jesus' death and resurrection prophesied 1000 years in advance and crucifixion described centuries before it was used. I remember reading this Psalm after being saved and finally having the Holy Spirit living in me to give understanding of the Scriptures and was amazed that I never heard this in the false gospel "christian" church I was raised in. Thank you Lord Jesus for dying for me!!!

Dan; there's no "plot" as you say; and the answer to all of your inquiries does never require "blind faith." The strength and firmness of faith comes out of the capacity to understanding. God gave us a brain to use it! It doesn't contradict rational thinking to live by moral and spiritual conviction; rather it is shown of what kind we are by our course in life. God's name is, I AM; which men deny!

A Disciple, the plot thickens. So alma does not mean exclusively virgin, so why translate virgin regarding a woman who will conceive? Are there any other occurences of the word Arei meaning pierced in the whole of Scriptures? Zech 12 has not happened yet and Zech 13 is talking of a false prophet!
