Discuss Psalms 27

God knows man, man doesn't now God, however we do know something about God (..."we know in part...) and a believer can learn more and more about God.

"Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding." Isaiah 40:28 KJV

"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD." Isaiah 55:8 KJV

"For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts." Isaiah 55:9 KJV

People might feel if a person knows us or gets us we should know them or get them, however, with God that does not apply, He created us...

God lets us know in His word that we should fear Him. Due to man's human condition or carnal nature we don't even realize that we need to fear the Lord.

"Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling." Psalms 2:11 KJV

"And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity." Matthew 7:23 KJV

"...I never knew you.." this scripture implies that souls are actually going to go before God thinking they knew Him and His ways and won't realize that until they actually transition and then will understand that they didn't God at all. (this let's us know we need God's help to learn about Him in our personal journey, and God can and will help us)

"Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, ... Isaiah 55:6 (also Psalms 27:4)

This is a learning way, "God created us in His image" when a believer accepts the Holy Spirit then a Christ mind can be developed in a believer, so that the believer can learn what God is requiring of that particular believer. A believer knows what they know about God because the Lord has provided the knowledge, wisdom and understanding, all our understanding comes from God. God loves us and wants man (whom God created to be like Him). It takes time to be holy.

Thanks everyone for their prayers, I am now in Moosonee, ON. They booked me a bus ride up, surgeon said using a plane would undue his work. But I am thankful for your prayers, as I kept you all in prayer too.

I am just a short lil boat ride, taxi from the down the bank in Moose Factory to go then home. (25 mins)

Everything went well and was told my lung after this surgery will be in even better shape now.

Medevac'd from Moose Factory to Moosonee. Then Moosonee to Sudbury. There was no extra beds @ original Hospital in Kingston ON they wanted to send me to, but DR said it was a good thing I ended up in Sudbury as they said they got one of the best lung wards in the Country.

GOD BLESS and keep praying for me for wisdom, healing and I will keep you in mine. As we all keep each other in Prayers.

Danny, I guess it would depend on what type of conflict is happening. I would start by praying for the situation and the ones in conflict. I would also try to maintain an attitude of compassion and kindness towards all in the family. I would ask the Lord for discernment.

I have a large family that is very divided on some really big issues. Our Mom passed away last May and so we needed to work together to care for her in her last weeks and to settle all of her affairs after her death. It was good that we accomplished much of this without too much drama, but there was drama, most of which that stems from decades long angst that a few persons continue to feed and allow to color their interactions with others. I did my best to work with all of these people the inevitable event of my Mom's passing, but now that she is now gone to be with Jesus, I choose not to interact with the few who have been so antagonistic to me because of my Christian faith and other things that they can't get past (which really have nothing to do with me). If we have whole family gatherings in the future, I will participate, but I will not meet one on one with the one's who have been so divisive in our family. I am 66, and the 4th of ten children. We are all old enough to know what is best to do concerning our relationships.

I do not know what you are facing in your family. But I will pray for peace and resolve for the conflicts in your family.

Scripture about an Angels carrying ._. Not "spirit" Luke 16:22, 'your question spirit seeing loved ones on earth', more importantly GOD ALMIGHTY sees us Psalms 139, Psalms 27:10, & Jesus intercedes for us Romans 8,

It's important to understand the Biblical laws of marriage were given to Moses for Israel & "the Children of GOD" John 1:12, also Romans 8, relevant.

These laws are for GOD fearing, believers, a guideline for what's best.

Mark 10:2-12, Matthew 19:3-12, Matthew 5:31-37, notice it was to test, Jesus. Deuteronomy 24:1-4

    1Corinthians 7,

    Malachi 2:10-15, John 3:16, Matthew 25:31-46, Jude 1,

    Hi Evangelina.

I would like to give you my view on your question.

    Let's look at 1 Peter 3:18-20.

The scripture gives us the answer plainly who he preached to inverse 20. "Those In the days of Noah,"

I believe the key is WHEN did he preached to those in prison. Verse 20 gives us that answer as well. "While the ark was a preparing,"

    1 Peter 3:18-20.

    18) For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

    19) By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison.

    20) Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.

The Lord preached through Noah in the building of the ark. Here in many ways the ark is a type of Christ and by Noah preaching the Gospel was presented.

Hebrews 11:7 By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.

I hope this helps God bless.

Jesus preached to those who had died in hell

    19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;

God through the inspiration of the Spirit gives David confidence against his foes in Psalm 27.

We are reminded in verse 4 of Psalm 84:10 as to it being better having the lowest position as "gatekeeper" in heaven than anything on earth; or the alternative of hell; certainly.

Verses 5 and 6 remind us of Psalm 40 in being lifted up and trusting in the Rock of God which is Christ. There could possibly be prophetic overtones in either passage of the Rapture; and or protection during times in the future Tribulation for certain Jews in hiding. We see a theme here of continuing trust in God; not just a fleeting moment when trouble arises. This helps an individual be able to clearly hear the voice of the Lord with all the competing ones of the world; the flesh and the Devil. Verse 9 shows to some extent how the Spirit was more transient in the lives of the O.T. saints; although God's people still ultimately were saved.

Verse 10 certainly cannot be overstated as it fits in to so many today; certainly whose own families foresake them or worse for proclaiming the Gospel truth. We are today "adopted sons" of Christ ( Romans 8:14-17) if truly Born Again. We have a Father in heaven who never leaves us or foresakes us.

Verse 12 demonstrates how false witnesses came up in David's life and certainly this applies to Christ when on earth. Finally; there is an admonition in the last two verses to wait patiently; as well as a hint of the Millennium Kingdom in verse 13 when we can be certain thar goodness will be in the "land of the living." Today the remnant believers are few and far between and many have fallen away as the scriptures predict.

    Hi Spencer

    pt 3

Regarding speaking to the Lord face to face...

There are more than one instance where the Bible records this happened...

And there arose not a prophet since in Israel like unto Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face, ( Deuteronomy 34:10)

And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: for I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved. ( Genesis 32:30)

Jacob boldly says, And my life is perserved...

Why else would Jacob say, And my life is preserved?

And they will tell it to the inhabitants of this land: for they have heard that thou LORD art among this people, that thou LORD art seen face to face, ( Numbers 14:14)

And the Bible commands us to seek His face...

When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seek. . ( Psalms 27:8)

Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore. ( Psalms 105:4)

Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually. ( 1 Chronicles 16:11)

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. ( 2 Chronicles 7:14)

The Mormons have a book of Scripture that tells us how Moses and others saw God face to face and lived.

Mormon Scripture says the only way man can see God face to face and live is to be out of the body having God's priesthood.

    That explains the contradiction.

Many years ago, the LORD Jesus told a man to get the King James Version.of the Bible. I can see why.

One Version: "be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD."

The King James Version: "Wait in the Lord. Be of good courage and He shall strengthen thine heart. WAIT I say on the LORD!"I can see Jesus in it!!!!!

2 Timothy 2:15 is a powerful verse. If we do not learn how to rightly divide the word of truth, we will be lost understanding the chain of events from the time God brought the Hebrews from the Land of Egypt until The Christ Lord Jesus died on the cross up to our time today which is approximately 2,000 years. Honestly, we do not have time. As you all noticed the rapid days go by quickly as God says 2 Peter 3:8 and you see Psalms 2:1-12

I do not mind repeating to all that the Bible is a complete book Revelation 19:13 for us today to prepare ourselves and others. I pray all to be saved. We cannot have the people caught unaware of Matthew 24:37. To rightly divide is to know for us today what we need to do. So I will say that the 11 apostles messages are important for the physical Jews Matthew 10:5-7 at the end time; and there are verses in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John that pertains to a spiritual Christians of today.

God had chosen Paul to be His vessel so we can read and believe not in vain. Study the Book of Romans to Philemon because he was the Last and believe it or not the 12th Apostle Galatians 1:1, Acts 9:15, Acts 13:47, Acts 22:21, Roman's 11:13, Ephesians 3:8, 1 Timothy 2:7, Galatians 1:16. After Jesus died He says Hebrews 9:14-17. Then you are Ephesians 1:12-14, 2 Timothy 2:19 and 2 Corinthians 1:22. Therefore, 1 Corinthians 9:2 just like Romans 15:28. Ephesians 4:30 and sing Psalms 49:8, 111:9, 130:7. In conclusion my fellow-believers, Paul is sealed 1 Corinthians 9:2 by God to be our apostle today. Weneedtoputtheworkof Paul not in vain Galatians 6:11. Paul tells us Romans 2:16, Romans 16:25, 2 Timothy 2:8. And the gospel is 1 Corinthians 15:1-4. Then we are sealed Ephesians 1:13. Perhaps you are not understanding me because Revelation 18:4, Proverbs 20:1, Roman's 7:11, 1 Corinthians 6:9, 1 Corinthians 15:33, Galatians 6:7, 1 Timothy 2:14, 2 Timothy 3:13, Titus 3:3, and lastly Revelation 18:23. Psalm 37:1-40 then we meditate Psalms 27:1-3. Shalom/Agape.

The Spirit of Adoption has been by your side throughout your life.

    Psalms 27:10

When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up.

    Proverbs 6:20

My son, keep thy father's commandment, and forsake not the law of thy mother:

    Proverbs 1:8

My son, hear the instruction of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother:

Jesus spoke to John and his mother, from the Cross: behold your mother.

What I perceive, is that at no time in your life were you without a Fathers love. You were adopted. And now you are Gods child through the Salvation of Jesus__which is eternal.

(I think you might get some relief by watching a movie some people don't care for, because the actors have played other movie roles that were evil.)

THE SHACK. In the scene inside the cave, he meets Wisdom. The the truth we suffer between judging and forgiveness is a wide canyon.

I hope like me, you find relief from memories that fight to stay alive. I gave that movie to my brother.

Someone once told me, "that God brings us to Himself, the easiest way we will come." He wants to heal our soul.

    Peace be with you, Mishael.

Notice they sought Jesus of Nazareth, the lowly son of the carpenter. The gospel is hid to them that are lost.

Now the name Jesus of Nazareth is the name above all creatures, above all creation. Jesus of Nazareth inscribed above his cross.

    Jesus of Nazareth is God.

Also, the scriptures were fulfilled even in the details we miss.

    Psalms 27:1-2

1 (A Psalm of David.) The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

2 When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.

    Psalms 35:4

"Let them be confounded and put to shame that seek after my soul: let them be turned back and brought to confusion that devise my hurt."

Finally, Saul of Tarsus came confronted by the reality of Calvary.

    Acts 22:8

"And I answered, Who art thou, Lord? And he said unto me, I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom thou persecutest."

Who knew that Gilbert O'Sullivan's Alone Again (Naturally) song was at a mourning time in his life after his mother and father had both passed away...

King David in the Bible went through this as well, and he understood that GOD would take care of him after this time of despair and mourning.

    Psalms 27:10

"When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up."

    King James Version (KJV)

Psalms 9:10, Psalms 18:2,30, Psalms 56:3, Psalms 71:5, Isaiah 12:2, our trust & hope should ultimately be in GOD

    * Psalms 118:8, * Jeremiah 9:4, * Micah 7:5,6, Luke 12:52, Psalms 27:10, Ephesian 6:2,3, Proverbs 23:22, people even most dear can betray, abandon, abuse etc. There was much abuse, betrayal, within King David's family & those he served. 1Samuel 21, 2Samuel 15, Saul his King, his children, wife, etc. Starting with his calling, 1Samuel 16:5-11,

    Psalms 20:7,

    Psalms 62:2,5,8, 2Samuel 22:3,31,

    Job 4:17-21,

    Psalms 17:7, Psalms 25:2, Psalms 31:19,

    Psalms 40:4, Psalms 44:6, Psalms 49:6,7,

Luke 14:26, trust GOD 1st & only yet honor them, this may be when there is contradiction to GOD's will & commandments. Even Jesus faced those struggles with earthly parents & family. Mark 3:20,21, Mark 3:31-35, John 7:3-5, Luke 2:42-52,

    Hopefully these are helpful.
