psalm 2 shows that God has power over everything that happens under the earth. He has adequate control over mankind. He is the one makes kings, and whoever he set as king can never go down.certainly their adveries will plan their downfall, but will never allow their evil deeds to come to pass.this passage of the gospel also prove that God has the power to give all his creatures their possession and inheritance, the clus their is just to ask.

"The Wicked " refers to you and I, always and only. "The Righteous " refers to Christ.

Yes, John. It is talking about Jesus, not David. Even the commentary of Henry agrees.

I think your "test " question starts from the wrong perspective. I think the promise regarding the inheritance is directed to Jesus not David.

I 've had a good day. I 'm going through some things, BUT I am blessed to have the Word of Truth and light. I want to thank my Lord, but sometimes I feel a little more than frustrated. So pray for me, I 'll be praying for the house hold of the saints! I greet thee with a holy kiss, and hug. Best of friends to you!

Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion... I believe this is what sets us apart from the wicked. Our King is Jesus Christ and the Holy Hill could be symbolic for our heart n mind. When we set Christ in our heart and mind, then we are following Christ and our thoughts and life will reflect His beauty. It will be in stark contrast to the wicked and a sore reminder to them of the truth and will make them want to get rid of us so that their conscience can be calm and or better said left alone and unconverted.

Verse 7 b clause This day have I begotten thee. It is declared that 's like a stamp of approval God has me. I 'm His and He is mine. What a comfort it is to have that assurance.

It is such a blessing and great love from our Lord to love us this much that through his word he gives us so much guidance in our dailey life to be able to just follow his way and to give us the understanding and to know that in Him we can always know we can over come sins and wickedness around us to know He is within us and that His holy spirit guides us is the greatest gift and we in Him are his forever.

(Verses 10-12) "The Lord says, "Shout and rejoyce, O Jerusalem, for I am coming to live among you. Many nations will join themselves to the Lord on that day, and they too, will be my people. I will live among you, and you will know that the Lord Almighty sent me to you."

This is Jesus speaking of his birth on earth as a human. John ( John 1:14) says of this, "So the Word became human and lived here on earth among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the only Son of the Father. This means that when God came to the earth as the human Jesus, he called himself the Son of God ( Psalms 2:7). This was decided in eternity. But we know that Jesus was God because John said he was in the first verse, "And the Word was God."

Consider this, if we claim that Jesus is not God, then what is the point of trying to obey him, or thinking that he can save us. Only God is able to save us and forgive our sins. Only God can take us to heaven. And only God has the power to change us into new people.

    Let's praise God as Jesus.

Psalms (songs?) was a somewhat independent revelation attributed mostly to David and partly to his son, Solomon. The Divine Decreed of the Lord in this verse would predate the coming of the New Testament by many centuries and should not be confused with later revelations.
It seems clear the term used here could not be the same as John 3:16 (only begotten son) Otherwise, the Bible would be seen to contain contradictions or misguidance for all those centuries to those who had not yet heard the words of the Messiah (Christ).
I look forward for more information. Pray for us to be guided.

Praise the Lord that the evil systems of this world cannot touch Gods people and that through Jesus's blood and authority, we can break free from every oppression of Satan's kingdom and all it's illusions. The Word of God is sharper than a two edged sword and it is the Word in which we have our true identity. No weapon formed against us shall prosper. We possess the earth. Halleluia.
