Blessed be God who spoke everything into being. My soul honors and adore Him who speaks and His words stand firm, turns the counsel of the enemy to nought and makes their plans of no effect.

GOD dosnt use trickery or. Illusion to frustrate you..nor will HE use devises in lile manner.. To do so in HIS name would only bring HIS wrath on that device... GOD will not be mocked.. HE IS SUPREME

Every word that comes from the mouth of God, never come back void.the word of God accomplished what it was set out to do. In the last days there will be perilous times. Crazy day that are in front of us that we never seen or heard of before. Thank you Lord for putting up with 8 billion fools all this time.please fill all of your children with kindness ,mercy and grace. I believe there are unique times of fearing God & serving God. Sometimes the fear of God is to fear His wrath that will influence people to serving Him. I believe a heathy fear of God is important, like serving a righteous Father that is a God of justice: Psalms 2:11 , Psalms 5:7 , Psalms 15:4 , Psalms 25:14 , Psalms 34:11 , Proverbs 1:7 , Ecclesiastes 12:13, Ephesians 6:5 ,
I love the Scripture Bob quoted 'perfect love casts out all fear' but that is what Jesus did in action & it's what we do when we LOVE Him, we trust Him through all fear, because He is faithful. Psalms 23:4 , Psalms 27:3 , Psalms 33:18 , Psalms 49:5

A Disciple, The Lord takes pleasure in your righteousness as long as the Lord is your righteousness. The Lord doesn't take pleasure in your good works if you think those works save you. "For by grace are ye saved through Faith and that not of yourselves it is the gift of God, not of works,(your own righteous ability to do good and be good) lest any man should boast." Verse 9~Jehovah God always fulfills what he says that he is going to do.

Stan; The LORD "takes no pleasure" in a wicked person dying in his sins! The LORD does take pleasure in the wicked turning from his wicked ways and changing his heart to do what's good and right! What kind of false spirituality do you suppose it is, that tells the righteous that God is not pleased with his righteousness? Judge RIGHTEOUS judgment! Jesus died for our sins to take away our UNFITNESS.

Verses 16-18: The Lord takes no pleasure in our own righteous ability to be good and to do good and to be obedient. He takes no pleasure in our good works of righteousness. He takes pleasure in those who fear before Him and have a contrite, repentant spirit and who hope in His mercy and forgiveness to save them.

The world is full of voices, all kinds of voices longing to be heard, all pushing each other out of the way so they can have the microphone! All who are of the truth hear Jesus' voice, and follow Him. The spirit that makes men heathen strives for a world with everything INSTEAD OF CHRIST!

Brianna: You're right. 6 months after I was Saved, I wondered why all capital letters. Discovered it's Jehovah! That's how I read it every time. There's a better understanding with more strength,when I read His Name as Jehovah. It's amazing no one knows how His Name is spelled or pronounced,seeing His Name was spelled with no vowels.

V. - " ....., to keep them alive in famine". no doubt refers to physical food, but also to a famine of the preaching of the truth of His Word. Where there is no preaching of the truth, the soul ends in death.

Brianna - I am sorry for my part in your 'name' discussion; I didn't realize you are Jewish.

Vs. 21 - Just to clarify. The name being referred to is Yahweh Jehovah. In Vs. 22 you will see that it uses capital LORD. If you research why that lord is all capital, you find that the Divine Name was taken out of this Bible and replaced with LORD. When translators do this, can people apply vs. 21? Do they even know that name?

V. 21 - "....... because they have trusted in His name" Jehovah translates into the Greek of Jesus.
