I'm not sure who or what God is, but this verse spoke to me. As I sat on my bunk in jail stressing about court the next morning and believeing I was going to be in jail for a long time, I cried to God sincerely, "Lord, deliver me from this trouble". The instant I finnished my prayer my cell mate reached up and handed me a bookmark. I couldn't believe that the exact request I had just made to the Lord who I had cursed and rejected was written on the bookmark. I kept the bookmark with this psalm in my sock as I went to court and I was released that day. The Lord gave me hope at the very moment I needed it most.

GOD will not give us more than we can handle every trial every problem that we have will come to pass with prayer. Because prayer is the most powerful element of our Christian walk with Jesus Christ.Prayer is our communication with GOD like telephone call to GOD and nothing is impossible for HIM.GOD can use the problems we have to make us stronger or to draw us near to HIM.

Psalms 34, I will bless the LORD at all times, he is so good to me, you see the battle that faces me is not my battle so I have just learned to lean on him daily. GOD has never lost a battle, he has won them all today I just want to encourage in you all the battles that you are fighting; it is now you to leave your battles and he will fight them for you. If you are on the LORD’s side you are already a winner, but you must believe that there is no impossibility with GOD. He is the author and the finisher of our faith, the beginning and the ending, the first and the last. Who is like unto our GOD, why should we worry when we can pray and ask JESUS and he will lead the way, bring the problem to GOD and talk to him about it. Live a clean Christian life, we know the requirement, pray, fast and read the word and wait on him.

This verse is teaching that we should desist from talking things that are evil, thus we must hold our mouth and also learn to talk things that are good. Talking bad about someone is a sin and this is linked to devil thinking.
  • Erik D. on Psalms 34 - 11 years ago
This Psalms is comforting to me. Verse 13 states to depart from evil seek peace and pursue it with the promise in 14 that God will hear our cry, when we follow after righteousness... Encouraged to see all the different perspectives on this Psalm.
  • Violeta on Psalms 34 - 11 years ago
This Psalm proves to me that our GOD is very powerful. Believe and trust with all your heart in HIM for our salvation and everlasting life. I would encourage readers to read Psalms 34 at time when you needed to cheer yourself up. God, our creator hears us and Amen. Read the King James Bible everyday.

This is a Warrior Psalm. When you read it daily against those who persecute you, the judgement and outcome that I have witness is amazing.

I believe that once we have reached the mature stage of trusting God completely then of course no matter what we go through he shall not leave us defenseless or allow us to be ashamed. I have proved that it may life even to this day

ps 34 is the affirmation of the power of the awesome power of God in all situations. Similar to this is Ps 107:6;13;19;28; they cried unto the Lord and He aswered them.
ps 34 is the testimony of Gods power and should therfore be used as an authority in our various situations-we should invoke it.

woow... this psalm34 is very inspiring especially vs 5, its connotes that God is only our source and when we look up to him we can never be put to shame. Can anyone look up with one eye and look down with the other.......that means you cannot look up to God and at the same time down to man for help.....As for me and my household we ve chosen to look up to God and i know we shall never be put to shame....Halleluyah
  • Rolandus Nicodemus on Psalms 34 - 12 years ago
This Psalm has always been a comfort to me...most memorable is when my mother was in the hospital due to heart attack...i prayed to the Lord earnestly, trusted in him...the Psalmist says he can bless the Lord at all times even in times of loneliness and uncertainty and indeed we can for God turn my loneliness to joy...Praise be The Lord God.
  • Sirya Karisa on Psalms 34 - 12 years ago
Young lions are really masculine and strong but they too do lack but the righteous who live by faith shall have their measure full.. This teaches me on how to trust the Lord of my provision and know that am not a weakling but too strong than young lions... This is fabulous!
  • Sherricka on Psalms 34 - 12 years ago

As believers in the Lord Jesus, we are not promised that we will have a trouble-free life (vs. 19). But, we are promised by God that when we seek Him/cry out to Him (vs. 4,6,17) He will deliver us (vs. 4,6,7, 17, 19). Even when we experience afflictions (vs.19), which the original Hebrew defines as exceedingly grievous harm/heavy hurt/distress, misery,God will deliver us (orig. Hebrew means to without fail preserve, save, defend, rescue). Seek His face, cry out to Him. He will hear & He will help you through any circumstance, even when your spirit is contrite (vs. 18) or crushed/broken! Our circumstances do not define us. Being a child of God does.
  • Siele on Psalms 34 - 12 years ago
God wants us to be clean in all our ways,to fear him and to offer our praises, blessing and adoration to him and us to avoid all evil manners for us not to be left by our God and finally God does not leave his people.
  • Samuel on Psalms 34 - 13 years ago
In praying with this psalm, I received God's expidient intervention against a stubborn case. Expidient! It is a psalm of victory and how it is obtained. Sometimes I wonder why none of our 'kings' today toe the path of King DAVID.
  • RENEE JACKSON on Psalms 34 - 13 years ago
I SURE I WILL BLESS THE LORD AT ALL TIME AND HIS PRAISES SHALL BE IN MY MOUTH; FOR HE LOVES ME, HE IS MY PROVIDER, MY COMPANION, MY MOTHER AND MY DADDY...I CAN CALL ON HIM IN THE MIDNIGHT HOURS, EARLY IN THE MORNING AND ALL THROUGH THE DAY AND HE WILL NEVER GET TIRED OR TALK ABOUT ME WHEN I TALK TO HIM. HE ALSO COMFORT ME IN THE TIME OF TROUBLE AND WHEN I AM LONELY...OH MY GOD WHAT A MIGHT GOD WE SERVE....GLORY HALLELUJAH
