To William M Patterson : verse two is referring to the Holy Spirit, the holy spirit is referred to being the female part of God. In old times it was the mother in the family that taught the children their (ABC) at the kitchen table. So likewise in God's kingdom. Read proverbs, when teaching is involved in scriptures, the word her appears alot.

The soul and body will not reach their destination in peace, because the carnal mind is enmity with God ( Romans 8:6).

For that reason every believer is chastened of the Lord ( Hebrews 12:5-12, Revelation 3:17-19), in order to overcome the flesh and our sinful nature ( Revelation 2:7,11,17,26; 3:5,12,21; 21:7).

There are no such doctrines in the Word of God and the Word id God ( John 1:1). Please read 1 Cor. 2:14,15.

In a way though the soul is the weaker vessel of the body. It seems like the body/mind is the driver and the passenger is the soul. So the soul prays that the body is a reasonable driver. By God's great grace, together they will reach their destination in peace.

PSALMS Chapter 34 Verse 4, I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. Yes! The words of God is Ehee and Amen. I am a living witness, sometime ago fear nearly take away, but when i started searching deeply and believing the words of God it becomes the weapon of warfare in life. GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME, I AM THE LIVING WITHINESS.

I believe there are unique times of fearing God & serving God. Sometimes the fear of God is to fear His wrath that will influence people to serving Him. I believe a heathy fear of God is important, like serving a righteous Father that is a God of justice: Psalms 2:11 , Psalms 5:7 , Psalms 15:4 , Psalms 25:14 , Psalms 34:11 , Proverbs 1:7 , Ecclesiastes 12:13, Ephesians 6:5 ,
I love the Scripture Bob quoted 'perfect love casts out all fear' but that is what Jesus did in action & it's what we do when we LOVE Him, we trust Him through all fear, because He is faithful. Psalms 23:4 , Psalms 27:3 , Psalms 33:18 , Psalms 49:5
    Be encouraged, Jude 1:24
I pray God lead you to a good Church

I will trust God,and His Providence. The easier wrong is to fear man,the harder right is to ask God for understanding ,to Fear God in reverence, submission to His Word, obedient in Truth, daily, hourly,in the end that God will receive His Glory back to Himself.

He is glorious, he is the I am, in him I do trust, don't worry about the vain, keep your mouth from speaking ill , when you speak the word let be his word and his alone, he mighty and loving, he can move the mountains. He is the creator, he knew us all before we were born. I will stay under his wings, he is my refuge and fortress, Hallelujah!

The intent of the fruit of the wicked, evil man (according to the knowledge given me of my Holy Father,) is this: fear man, not GOD. For the fear of the LORD brings understanding. And understanding brings repentance. And repentance brings belief and faith. And faith in GOD through Jesus Christ is righteousness. Behold, the fear of the LORD, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.
