Meditation that brings you to Psalms 45,especially Psalms 45:6-7.

Speaking of JESUS(Ps.45:6-7)-->In Hebrews 1:8, GOD the Father says unto the Son: Thy throne,O God, is for ever and ever:a sceptre of righteousness is the Sceptre of thy Kingdom.(It will LITERALLY be fulfilled from now on: Revelation 11:15 combined with 1Thessalonians 4:16, about the archangel Michael who comes first, comes before JESUS in LITERAL fulfilment of Daniel 12:1-3 and Revelation 12:7-12)

Hebrews 1:7-And of the angels he saith: Who maketh His angels winds/spirits, and His ministers a flame of fire. (Ps.45:3-5 refer to the archangel Michael:--> 3 Gird thy sword upon thy thigh,O most mighty, with thy glory and thy majesty.

4 And in thy majesty ride prosperously because of truth and meekness and righteousness; and thy right hand shall teach thee terrible things. (Re.19:9-And he saith unto John- Write,Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto John,These are the true sayings of GOD. 10 And I-John- fell at his feet to worship him.And he said unto me,See thou do it not:I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus:worship GOD:for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy)

5Thine arrows( Revelation 6:2)are sharp in the heart of the king's enemies;whereby the people fall under thee.( Revelation 11:15)

    Re.11:16-17

16And the four and twenty elders, which sat before GOD on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped GOD,

17saying,We give thee thanks,O Lord GOD Almighty, which art,and wast, and art to come;because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned( 1Corinthians 15:24-27and51-55-Take a look)

Re.11:18-And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou should give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great;and should destroy them which destroy the earth

    Great meditation, Carleton,

It brings me to Psalms 45, especially Psalms 45:6-7. This also touches somewhat on Adam's recent postings concerning the person of Jesus. Thanks for sharing this, God Bless!!!

    Psalm 45.

This Psalm discusses in the first five verses a description of a mighty warrior of valor; with characteristics of "truth; meekness and righteousness" in verse 3. The description in verse 2; however about being fairer than the children of men would certainly seem to portray the future Messiah; or at least an angelic being.

Verse 6 clearly describes God. Verse 7 discusses God Himself anointing someone; which likely represents only the Messiah Himself. There were special formulas for priests to administer to kings in the O.T. as specified in Leviticus 8:30; as well as Exodus 29 and 30.

Verse 8 discusses Myrrh which was one of the spices brought to Christ ( Matthew 2:11).

The remainder of the Psalm except for the last verse could describe the nuptuals and marriage bonds such as found in the Song of Solomon. We are also reminded of the story of Ruth who left her own people and was blessed for joining Naomi and the Jews; and eventually was part of he royal lineage from the sentiments in verse 10.

Verse 16 could describe spiritual offspring; and relate to us as in Revelation 5:10 being "kings and priests on the earth". The last verse also seems to indicate Christ being "remembered in all generations." The whole Psalm is likely a depiction of David as seen by those writing it for the sons of Korah for worship.

    Psalm 45

This Psalm contains virtues of a human king; but also some of God's attributes alone. Most verses can have either meaning. In the first five verses we see characteristics of a valiant warrior with "truth, meekness and righteousness" adding to the exalted status. Verse 2 however stating that the appearance was "fairer than the children of men" would seem to indicate a description of God; or at least that of an angelic being.

Verse 6 directly describes God; and verse 7 seems to indicate a Messianic anointing. Priests in Exodus 29:7 and Exodus 8:30 were anointed and the further application was to be for the Messiah. Myrrh in verse 8 is mentioned in Matthew 2:11.

The rest of the Psalm (verses 9 to the end) talk about attributes much as is in the Song of Solomon for the king and could also be related to a love story. Such abandon of our lives and forgetting our own people and past could also relate to someone like Ruth who decided to follow Naomi and therefore became part of the royal lineage. The children in verse 16 could also in some sense be the spiritual descendants of Christ. The Psalm ends with "thy name being remembered in all generations" which is certainly a description of Christ but also could relate to King David co ruling with Christ. We also shall be "kings and priests" on the earth some day ruling and reigning with Christ ( Rev. 5:10).

    Dear Edward

Briefly speaking the oil always symbolizes the Holly Spirit

Lets see in the OT a prophesy about our Lord

    Psalms 45:6-7

"Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre.

Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows."

The oil of gladness is the HS

Again in the OT the prophets anointed Kings with oil. It again symbolized the Holly Spirit

    1 Samuel 16:13

"Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren: and the Spirit of the LORD came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel rose up, and went to Ramah."

Also in the NT Paul asks anyone who is ill to come to the elders of the church and put oil on him to be healed.

    James 5:14

"Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord"

The oil again here symbolizes the Holly Spirit. It is Him who heals.

So we see that a general symbol for the HS in the Bible is the oil.

My peace comes from my trusting in Your Word, and the salvation I have because of my Lord Jesus Christ dying on the cross for me.

My joy is knowing all my sins have been cleansed by His precious blood for ever.

My comfort is because My God has promised that all my sins have been forgotten, and never to be brought up again.

I now stand before my King, Lord, and Savior sanctified, and glorified not because of anything I did; but, only because of His mercies and love for me.

Thank you Lord for your daily benefits. I call on your precious love to be on all the saints, for your Face to continually shine on all who call on you. To bless the lost to turn to Christ before it is eternally to late. Bless our leadership and all those in positions of authority, with the salvation of Christ, that they may receive the mind of Jesus in this most pressing to times.... September 4, 2021

    We are all sinners.

Influence the sinner with the words of God and good works.

well in 1 Corinthians 15:33 Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.

2 Corinthians 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

When you start doing what the Lord wants you to do you will find the unbelievers separate from you.

At least that was my experience.

You can use the search box to pull up all angel(s) scriptures and do a more complete study on them.

I'm pretty sure there isn't going to be any dating in heaven. ;)

Human people in the The Great Tribulation that get born again and manage to survive 7 years of hell on earth: will still be human in heaven. Until the Great White Throne Judgement takes place. Satan will be loosed to tempt them a short time. If they fail to resist, they may go with satan back to hell forever.

    Who wants to risk that!?

Matthew 22:30 speaks of people after the resurrection not participating in marriage-they become "like the angels." However, this does not mean people are genderless. The masculine, not neuter, pronoun is used many times to describe angels (and HE was like...HIS appearance was like, etc.). So there is no real indication that the angels are genderless beings.

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

    Matthew 22:30
For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.

Sarah...i think the battle is n so we need to pray for souls daily and spread the gospsel. Then the Lord can work on their hearts. We also need to put on our spiritual weapons ie. The sword for the word of God

"My heart is inditing (GUSHING FORTH) a good matter: I speak of the things which I have made touching the KING: my tongue is the pen of a ready writer." It is important to note, that the enemies are NOTHING to be afraid of: look how Jesus is going to deal with them! In a moment, all their terribleness will be answered with the sharp arrows of God in their hearts, and they will be GONE! HALLELUJAH!

And with the Appearance of the Lord Jesus Christ in all His beauty and glory; FIRST that shall be done is the complete removal of all enemies of God from out of His kingdom; and the Dominion given to the Saints.

The flesh is weak and the devil is here to kill steal and destroy. That is when God word is very important in our lives. We must seek his word each and every day in order to stay strong and prosperity. He will never leave or forsake us but we must do our part and read and apply His word. Trust in the Lord and lean not to your own understanding and He will direct your path through the Holy Spirit

Regardless of what we think of God's Word, it is true any. It is the only source that we can go to to find out what is really going on on this planet and in our lives. Things that we need to know are being hidden from us every day by the enemy through people, situations, etc. The Word of God lets us know that He loves us but requires our obedience to Him as well. I have found this out the hard way.

To ese okposio - ".....anointed with the oil of gladness above thy 'fellows'." This is a prophesy of the coming messiah, Jesus. His 'fellows' are all flesh men of earth; Jesus is sinless, they are not. Jesus is anointed to be our savior, as no one else could be because of sin. His 'fellows' are Jesus peers during His lifetime. Tis PROPHECY to come; not about Jesus in heaven, cont.
