What an unhappy life; always struggling with sin. What if you die suddenly in your sin and don't have time to ask for forgiveness? Jesus said the wages of sin is death. An eternity in hell, away from His Prescence forever in unimaginable torture. Does your soul end up there or does God somehow wave the sin away because He knew you would have repented if you would have had the chance. He realized He should have given you a little longer to live so you could do this, therefore since it's kind of His fault He wipes the sin away and lets you into heaven. This is nonsensical, of course, because the simple truth is if a soul dies in sin their wages are death.
Sinning/Christian - an oxymoron: (a combination of contradictory or incongruous words. Merriam-Webster Dictionary.)
and also nonsensical when compared to scripture. God Bless :)
This Psalm is such a good example of how David was a man after God's own heart, yet found sin in his heart that he knew was truly against God and sought Him for forgiveness and cleansing. I would hope to be as David and as Him often to examine me and show me any sinful way in me. David hated that he had done or said or thought things that have offended the God he loved so much. I would hope to also hate my sins and confess them to God seeking forgiveness as soon as I realize I have done so.
I hope to be sensitive to the "pricking" of the Holy Spirit" when He shows me a Scripture that speaks to my failure to do what is righteous before God and man. This is what God wants us to do-come to Him with all our sin and failures to honor Him as God and judge, whenever we fail to praise and thank Him as we ought-and confess to Him our sins. He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us as 1 John 1 says.
Good afternoon, Momsage, I am one who thinks that faults and propensities in our personalities and character can be considered sinful. If one has a quick temper, is easily provoked, unwilling to forgive offenses, is self-seeking, envies, prideful, thinks evil thoughts, or any number of "faults' or "weaknesses" one is sinning with these faults/weaknesses when we give in and let them be expressed. See 1 Corinthians 13
If I have tendencies to complain, gossip, talk behind another's back, be lazy when I should do what task I need to do each day, fail to give my husband attention and affection and care to fill up his need-all these are sinful. It is highly probable that you have faults such as these or others that when you read of them in Scripture the Holy Spirit pricks your heart. We are to live godly lives in this wicked generation, especially in our own home and with our family and close friends. We are to practice keeping a guard on our hearts and minds and actions with diligence.
If you read I Corinthians 13 and find that you do not always follow what it says about love, then you can know you are failing to love as God wants us to. Loving others is a really huge aspect of obedience to God's ways. And one area that I don't think ANYONE can do rightly 100% of the time in their lives even as a believer.
Glad to see that you are feeling better. Always feels so good to be feeling good after an illness! Thank the Lord!
Momsage. I do not ant to get into a long discussion about this topic as we have discussed this recently pretty thoroughly. I just wanted to respond to your statement of not being a sinner. I will be glad to hear your response, but please understand if I do not engage in a lengthy discussion.
So sorry Cheryl but I am not a sinner. I stopped "sinning" when I accepted Christ as my Savior and became a Christian. I do have weaknesses and faults that the Holy Spirit is helping me overcome as I grow in the Lord. You are mistaking faults and weaknesses with "sin" and this is a very dangerous doctrine as it could lead someone to believe they can be saved and also enjoy a worldly life because they cannot "help" sinning. Sinners go to hell for eternity when they die, the bible is very clear on that and saints are in God's Prescence when they die. These are two completely different eternities. If you are a true believer you cannot be a sinner because Jesus very plainly said darkness and light cannot mix. If you still want to call me a sinner - please explain, with scripture, what your definition of sin is and what sins I am guilty of committing every day of my life with the Lord. God Bless :)

We all sin and this digs deep in your soul and let’s GOD know just how sorry you are and begs for mercy and asks to be forgiven while taking responsibility
2 Peter 2:20. They had the knowledge of the Lord and Savior; they were saved and had escaped the pollutions/sins of the world. Can we escape sin outside of Christ? They choose to go back to a life of habitual, intentional, and willful sin. And their punishment will be worse, Luke 12:47-48.
Galatians 6:9 This to me is obedience, It says unless we faint, to me that is to give up, quit, intentionally turn away, we reap life everlasting. Colossians 1:23 "If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel". If we continue that is a choice, we must make that is not given that is our obedience.
Jude 1:21 We are to keep ourselves, the Holy Spirit helps us, but this is something we do and if we do, He will keep us from falling. 2 Peter 1:10 If we do, it is not done for us, we have been given but it is up to us to obey and do, if they have forgotten they had to know it to forget it. If We Do!!! we shall never fall. Hebrews 6:13-16 What Abraham did, in his faith, he waited for a long time he endured. He did not faint or grow weary or turn his back to God, the evidence of his faith, just like when he drew back the knife.
This is not about a Christian who is struggling and battling sin regardless of how long they struggle they are still in the race and if they repent and return in the light will be forgiven and in the grace of God. As David said restore unto me the joy of thy salvation, Psalms 51:12. We all are in a battle with our flesh and sin daily. We can lose the joy of salvation and if we come under repentance, we will still be in God's grace but without repentance, we will be cut off.
The face value of the statement you quoted does not imply additions or subtraction to the words of God as I previously stated to you, so it was not for face value that you responsed.
in your apology, you state "if" you misrepresented their beliefs, there's no 'if" to it.
David your apology is evasive & shifty, then you reinforce your statement of your beliefs, in all this, it makes this attempted apology void. its the same tactics you colored over your erroneous statement of "visions & dream" with GiGi.
Psalms 15:1-4
Friend, I been here, God would not let me near Him, the intimacy & closeness that I intensely craved, to really know Him. as a Father knows a son, & son knows his father was shut to me, His all discerning eyes penetrate my thickest covering, I had to come clean every wit, before His wrath was remove & remission of the transgression of granted & fellowship was restored. Hebrews 12:11
Then came I to a more enlightened understanding of King David prayer, Psalms 51:6 & I rejoice in His judgments for they were meant for my cleansing to bring me back to the intimate fellowship & only became my condemnation when I reject them.
I learnt by experience that the difference between "all that are call & the few that are chosen", is how we respond to Him in these crucial moments in our relationship with Him & our fellow human beings.
I pray that this helps in making a clean break, remember who we war against Ephesians 6:12 who seek to rule & reign in the hearts & minds of mankind, they have been doing this for a long time, & to be honest, if we look at the condition of the world & church today, they're pretty good at it, so we must not remain ignorant of their devices.
A love for the Truth in the inward parts alone defeats them, who is Christ, the Armor, Wisdom & Power of God.
God has always look to the heart of mankind, Psalms 51:6Jeremiah 17:10Deuteronomy 30:6
The heart is the birthing room of thoughts, desires, passion, emotion, endeavors, intellect, the seat & center of our very being.
It is here that God seeks to work out our sanctification, by cleansing us from what the corruptible seed has planted within us (devil), by the incorruptible Seed, the washing of the Water of the Word, the engrafted Word, Christ, who is able to save our immortal souls. This is refer to in 2Thess 2:4 who exalts himself against the knowledge of God, the Incorruptible Seed, & who's temple we are, is to whom we obey, Rom 6:16,17 "obey from the heart", the Light / Grace that shines the glory & the knowledge of God, the Incorruptible Seed, the revelation of Jesus Christ within all the hearts & minds of mankind, brings us to the new birth, that's of the Spirit John 1:13John 3:6, therefore we are to 2Cor 10:5,6 meaning cast the devil out by picking up the Cross & denying, mortifying & crucifying self; Rom 2:29
Psalms 34:18 The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.
Psalms 51:17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
Joel 2:12-14 Therefore also now, saith the LORD, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning: And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil. Who knoweth if he will return and repent, and leave a blessing behind him; even a meat offering and a drink offering unto the LORD your God?
Jonah 3:4-10 And Jonah began to enter into the city a day's journey, and he cried, and said, Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown. So the people of Nineveh believed God, and proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them even to the least of them. For word came unto the king of Nineveh, and he arose from his throne, and he laid his robe from him, and covered him with sackcloth, and sat in ashes. And he caused it to be proclaimed and published through Nineveh by the decree of the king and his nobles, saying, Let neither man nor beast, herd nor flock, taste any thing: let them not feed, nor drink water: But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth, and cry mightily unto God: yea, let them turn every one from his evil way, and from the violence that is in their hands. Who can tell if God will turn and repent, and turn away from his fierce anger, that we perish not? And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not.
hi Giannis! I can see where you might think I was saying that epilepsy is a sin. I was not saying that all cases of epilepsy are sin. The main cause for epilepsy is stress on the body. Whether that stress is caused by sin in the life of the body or by something ells. Only the person struggling with it can tell where that stress is coming from. I was trying to say that according to the KJB and some research that I have done, that the words lunatic and epileptic are derivative from the same latin word lunaticus which originally referred mainly to epilepsy and madness, as diseases thought to be caused by the moon. The King James Bible records "lunatic" in the Gospel of Matthew, which has been interpreted as a reference to epilepsy. I have had epileptic symptoms while committing the sin of adultery therefore the stress of knowing that I am committing sin is causing my epilepsy. It's a shame that we have drifted so fare from God that we start putting names for sin so that we can diagnose it as a disease or mental disorder when God just called it sin. The definition for lunatic is "great or wild foolishness" And anyone that would trade Gods love for pornography, adultery, lust, or any of the things in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 or anything that cools our affection for God is a lunatic and sore vexed with sin. I might add that LUST is a sin. Romans 1:21-32James 1:14-15Mark 4:19Matthew 5:27-28 What I am trying to accomplish in this fast is Psalms 51:9-17
P.S. Yes I am married to a wonderful woman that is supporting me in this fast and is helping through this. She prays for me every day.
Psalms 34:18 The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.
Psalms 51:17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
Isaiah 57:15 For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.
Isaiah 66:2 For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.
This is the famous Psalm that I quote fairly often in regard to the "broken and contrite" heart (Verse 17). The previous verse discusses how God does not desire sacrifice. That is because no animal sacrifice could fully or permanently atone for sins; and that the sins David committed were according to the law death penalty violations. That would be for both the adultery and arranging for the murder of Uriah.
Verse 4 has been explained as being the ultimate offense in any transgression; namely sinning against God. I cannot find a satisfactory explanation as to the meaning as it is clear that he sinned against Bathsheeba; Uriah and even with the person that he compelled to bring Bathsheeba to him in the first place. It could be said that Bathsheeba herself was putting herself into a compromising position; although whether it was a deliberate seduction it is hard to say if that was a normal bathing place. Also she didn't apparently resist David's advances so he could say that he didn't force himself on her. Also the death of Uriah was due to placing him in the front lines and "leaving it to fate" as it were. Certainly getting him drunk and enticing him to lay with his wife so that he could be the one who everyone thought got her pregnant was a sin as well. Whether he had asked forgiveness for any of these actions against people before this isn't known.
Hopefully others can give futher insight. In any event; clearly David was immediately repentant after Nathan's challenge and wrote this Psalm.
An intersting side note with verses 11 through 13 demonstrates that for the sake of a good witness to others; we ask God to keep working through His Holy Spirit and therefore others through seeing God's joy will be converted (verse 13). That is more of a New Testament concept it seems that David had some insight into. If we are more concerned with the lost than self justification than God will probably be more apt to answer our prayers.
Believing in Gods provision for Salvation__through His Son Jesus - In Reply on 2 Timothy 4 - 2 years ago
All people, Jew or Gentile, that have been circumcised in their hearts; that BELIEVE on Jesus for Salvation.
" Ezekiel 36:26 - A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.
Psalms 51:10 - Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me."
Book of John 3, also 1-2-3 John at the back of the Bible.
It has nothing to do with religions. It has everything to do with relationship and obedience to God.
Psalms 51:5. Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.
Our sinful nature comes from the natural man. We inherited that nature NOT because we sinned! WE INHERITED THE NATURE TO SIN!
And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.
The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven. 1 Corinthians 15:45-47.
Jesus was a life giving spirit from heaven.
Adam was made a living soul out of the dust of the ground.
If Adam would have never sinned he couldn't have given everlasting life.
Romans 5:14. Nevertheless DEATH REIGNED FROM ADAM TO MOSES, EVEN OVER THEM THAT HAD NOT SINNED AFTER THE SIMILITUDE OF ADAM'S TRANSGRESSION, who is the figure of him that was to come.
( WHO IS THE FIGURE OF HIM THAT WAS TO COME.) Jesus was to come into the world even before Adam sinned. Adam wasn't capable of living a sinless life.
When was Jesus the Lamb of God to take away the sins of the whole world? When he died on the cross?
BEFORE THE CROSS!
1 Peter 1:19-20. But with the precious blood of Christ, as of A LAMB WITHOUT BLEMISH AND WITHOUT SPOT:
Who verily WAS FOREORDAINED BEFORE THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD,....( BUT WAS MANIFEST IN THESE LAST TIMES FOR YOU,)
Matthew 4:1 THEN WAS JESUS LED UP OF THE SPIRIT into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.
Do you notice Satan didn't hunt down Jesus? Jesus was led by the Spirit to Satan. This was to prove he was the son of God and ONLY the son of God cannot sin because he is God. Here Satan is just used as an instrument.
I don't know about this website, but there are numerous people with the Bible Reading Out Loud, on Youtube. There are many to choose from. Alexander Scourby was one of the first. Listen to them all.
Then come hang out here later. Real people here all the time, from other Countries too. I'm from Texas, hi y'all :)
Ok, what country is everyone from?
God bless us, keep us in His Love Eternal, Give us His Peace and direction in our daily lives.
It is out of his reach, he cannot attain it; natural wisdom, or the knowledge of many things in nature; at least it seems so to himself, and therefore will not take any pains, or make use of any means, to obtain it; as the knowledge of human laws; of medicine, of philosophy, of languages, or of any of the liberal arts and sciences; or he has not really a capacity for it. This is more especially true of spiritual wisdom, or of the knowledge of divine things in a spiritual way; or of the things Of the Spirit of God, which a natural man cannot know, because they are spiritually discerned; it is God only makes men to know this kind of wisdom in the hidden part, ( 1 Corinthians 2:14 ) ( Psalms 51:6 ) ; for as a "fool" here denotes a wicked man, let his natural parts be what they will; so wisdom spiritual knowledge, and experience of divine things, which is too high for an unregenerate man to reach;
see a like phrase in ( Psalms 139:6 ) he openeth not his mouth in the gate;
he is not qualified far it; and if he has any knowledge of himself, he will not venture to speak in a public assembly, in the house of parliament, in a court of judicature, or in the company of men of knowledge and sense; and indeed it is his highest wisdom to keep silence, and not betray his ignorance: and so with regard to spiritual things; a man that wisdom is too high for, and he has no share of it, shall not or ought not to open his mouth where Wisdom cries; even in the gates of the cities, or in the public assemblies of the saints, ( Proverbs 1:21 )
Thank you very much "Mary Bruce" it is true, I have read in 1 John 2:13-14 important words in an evil world to. In the verses before the Apostle writes about the antichrist who was already active in the world, 2010 years ago, or about.
Stay blessed in our Jesus Christ holy name He loves you.

I don't think so.
We're not sinners because we sinned.
We sin because we're sinners.
The sin nature don't enter you once you sin.
1 John 3:9.
God bless.
A man after his own heart.
Whose words, are the words in Psalms 51?
Are the words, David's words; or they, the Holy Ghost's words?
2 Peter 1:21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God SPAKE as they were moved be the Holy Ghost.
2 Samuel 23:1 Now these be the last words of David ......
2 Samuel 23:2 The spirit of the Lord SPAKE by me, and his word was in my tongue.
Is not Psalms 51 a PROPHECY of Christ coming as SINFUL FLESH to be saviour of the world?
Psalms 51:13 Then will I (Holy Ghost) teach transgressors thy (the Father's) ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee (the Father).
May God give us eyes to see and ears to hear.

Wisdom [is] too high for a fool
It is out of his reach, he cannot attain it; natural wisdom, or the knowledge of many things in nature; at least it seems so to himself, and therefore will not take any pains, or make use of any means, to obtain it; as the knowledge of human laws; of medicine, of philosophy, of languages, or of any of the liberal arts and sciences; or he has not really a capacity for it. This is more especially true of spiritual wisdom, or of the knowledge of divine things in a spiritual way; or of the things Of the Spirit of God, which a natural man cannot know, because they are spiritually discerned; it is God only makes men to know this kind of wisdom in the hidden part, ( 1 Corinthians 2:14 ) ( Psalms 51:6 ) ; for as a "fool" here denotes a wicked man, let his natural parts be what they will; so wisdom spiritual knowledge, and experience of divine things, which is too high for an unregenerate man to reach;
see a like phrase in ( Psalms 139:6 ) he openeth not his mouth in the gate;
he is not qualified far it; and if he has any knowledge of himself, he will not venture to speak in a public assembly, in the house of parliament, in a court of judicature, or in the company of men of knowledge and sense; and indeed it is his highest wisdom to keep silence, and not betray his ignorance: and so with regard to spiritual things; a man that wisdom is too high for, and he has no share of it, shall not or ought not to open his mouth where Wisdom cries; even in the gates of the cities, or in the public assemblies of the saints, ( Proverbs 1:21 )
Deuteronomy 4:6, 1Kings 3:5-15,28, 2Chronicles 1:10-12, 1Kings 4:29,30,34, 1Kings 10,
Psalms 37:30, Psalms 49:3, Psalms 51:6, Psalms 111:10, Proverbs 1:1-7, Proverbs 2:6-10, Proverbs 8,
Hopefully these are helpful
Stay blessed in our Jesus Christ holy name He loves you.
Just shows us,all how we need to keep our guard up against satans lies,by keeping our minds and thoughts on God.
