Please God I ask in Jesus Christ name bring spiritual clarity to Gabriel and his marriage that Your Will be done for them. You know their hearts and the root cause of their conflict. Thank you God in advance to the answer You give them in Jesus Christ name!!
May I suggest you reflect on Psalms 46:1, Psalms 51:14.
My I suggested reflecting on Proverbs 3:5-6, Psalms 51:10 and Psalms 119:71.
Please God give Valerie the spiritual clarity she seeks and I ask Holy Spirit enrich her with your spiritual gifts that she will come to have a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and be a living testimony for Your glory I ask in Christ Jesus
It's simple to get saved, but the process of sanctification is hard. Before I elaborate, I assume you're referring how a sodomite can get saved; "gay" biblically means cheerful, "sodomy/sodomite" means those who practice same sex fornication.
You meet God in his own terms:
1.) You have to be in a broken and contrite state.
Psalms 51:17 "The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise."
2.) You call upon Jesus to save you.
Romans 10:13 "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
3.) Put your faith in the Lord. (Take note that the eunuch called upon the Lord, he didn't just believe his way to salvation)
Acts 8:37 "And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God."
If you followed these steps, then you are saved; you will have assurance of your salvation as it'll come through chastening, if you don't have any chastening in your life, then you're not saved.
Hebrews 12:7
"If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?"
Thanks be to Jesus the son of God. God is gracious and merciful to the sinner however we must be truthful with ourselves and know that even though God sees all and knows all we must repent and acknowledge our sins to him and ask for forgiveness, help and strength to overcome. Our help and strength comes from Jesus Christ and walking in his righteousness. God is a righteous judge who makes judgement on sin and just because we are under the grace through Jesus Christ does not mean we are to continue sinning God forbid
Please pray that we would all fall in love with the Lord more and more each moment. Please pray that our work for Him is not done merely because of obedience but out of our love for Him.( Jude 1:21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.)
Pray that God would restore unto us all the joy of our salvation. ( Psalms 51:12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.)
And Please pray that God would give me the courage to stand up for my faith, and give me the courage to tell others about the Lord.
These are the scriptures that the Lord put on my heart as I was praying for you. I added you to my personal prayer wall here at home.
I believe The Lord is doing some thing great for you! I don't know exactly what it is, He didn't tell me :-) But please be encouraged He's very near you! Please repost your prayer request every few days. So that it is visible to all those who pray.
How needful is this Psalms for even this day. I see the need in my life. No one knows me like the Father does. I don't even know myself that well. Thank God for this tool to help me want to get it right with Him. I can't do anything on my own. I fail over & over again. Yet He makes a way for me to repent & come back again & again.
I know we will know everyone in Heaven. My question is, "Will I know my mom as being my mom on earth and or will we have a special bond with her or will I just know her as Dolores and my love for her will be the same as everyone else, without a special bond."
I know God is forgiving, and I joyfully accept His forgiveness. My weakness comes in my inability to forgive myself. The world is constantly reminding me of my wrongdoing. Sadly, the world to which I'm referring is within the church.
Most true children of God has a hard time forgiving themselves, but we must Mark 11:26
(But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.) This scripture is talking about forgiving everyone including ourselves because Romans 2:11 (For there is no respect of persons with God.) I know exactly what you are talking about when you mention the church world, but remember there is no church world with God; ONLY the world and the church! The church starts in you, you are the temple of the living God if you have been Born Again and

The lord jesus that i know never gives up on you... do not give up hope as nothing can separate you from the love of god - we are in the family of god by faith in christ jesus. but we have to be sorrow for our sins and repent before the throne of grace... godly sorrow for our sins is true repentance...we are saved by our faith by trusting in him and when we truly, sincerely, honestly come to jesus with a broken and contrite spirit and heart he will forgive us and we are born into his family and become a child of god...fit for the kingdom of god. the lord came into the world that sinners might be saved. he is no respecter of persons and leaves no one out. we are required to seek him with all our heart mind, soul, body and strength. when we do he comes in to make his abode in our hearts - your life will completly be changed - you will never be the same! it is called being born of the spirit of god which transforms us into his marvelous light. baptism in water is also very important. after true repentance the word of god teaches us to be buried with him in baptism which is a good conscious towards god and for our sins to be remitted and cast into the sea of forgettfulness, never to be remembered anymore! glory, glory, glory! be baptized in the name of jesus christ for the remission of sins and you shall receive the gift of the holy ghost. it is a promise to you and as many that are afar off, even as many as the lord our god shall call. ye shall receive power to become the sons and daughters of god even to them who believe on his name - so repent, be baptized according to acts 2:38, receive the holy ghost by faith thru obedience and then continue to seek him with all your heart and you will grow in grace and the knowledge of the lord as the scriptures will become clear and the understanding of his word will also come as faith comes by hearing the word of god! remember, jesus said he that comes to me i will in no wise cast out. you will speak with a new tongue and receive po
Psalms 34:18 - The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.
Psalms 147:3 - He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.
1 Peter 5:7 - Casting all your care upon him; for he cares for you.
Isaiah 61:1 - The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives (of sin), and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
John 14:27 - Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Proverbs 3:5-6 - Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto your own understanding.
Psalms 73:26 - My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.
Psalms 51:17 - The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
2 Corinthians 12:9 - And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
Comment: God knows of our pain. Lay your sorrows at his feet. Give yours to Him (speak it), and receive His comfort, joy and healing. Never pick up what you've given to God. It's His now.

SPsalms 5112 14 KJV Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation and uphold me with - In Reply on Romans 5 - 3 years ago
Hi Michael.
I agree on moving on,
I just wanted to give my thoughts on your last reference.
Psalms 51:11. CAST ME NOT AWAY FROM THY PRESENCE; and take not thy holy spirit from me.
In the old testament God's presence came amongst them and I believe empowered them.
The spirit even came upon Nebuchadnezzar and many others as instruments. Today he put his Spirit in us.
Hebrews 10:16-19. This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;
And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.
Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,
King David was a man after the Lord's own heart but he lost his joy and that's what he's crying out for.
Psalms 51:12. "RESTORE UNTO ME THE JOY" of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.
Psalms 51:14. DELIVER ME FROM BLOODGUILTINESS, O God, thou God of my salvation: and my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness.
1) In short, yes, Peter is warning about false prophets who left the true faith and, in short, apostatized. But, the warning that Peter is giving, is to faithful believers, to not follow them and become rejected as they were. Notice.
2 Peter 2:3 "And through covetousness shall THEY (apostates) with feigned words make merchandise of YOU (true faithful believers): whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not."
The apostates want to make the faithful Christians into apostates too. Thus, the warning. Why? Because there is a real serious danger.
2) They were not just enlightened, they were true believers.
Hebrews 6:4 "For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made PARTAKERS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT,"
If you are made partakers of the Hold Spirit, you have received God's Holy Spirit and are a Christian. You have to safeguard that or God will take away his Holy Spirit.
Psalms 51:11 "Cast me not away from thy presence; and TAKE NOT YOUR HOLY SPIRIT FROM ME."
I concur with you, though, in that we can agree to disagree and move on.
THE BOOK Of LIFE Our names must be in it on Psalms 15 - 3 years ago
All the Scriptures that pertain to the Book of Life; for everyone's information and edification.
Psalms 51:1
Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my TRANSGRESSIONS.
Psalms 51:9
Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine INIQUITIES.
Revelation 3:5
He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will NOT blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
Revelation 22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life....
Revelation 20:12
And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
Revelation 20:15
And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
Revelation 13:8
And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
Philippians 4:3.....whose names are in the book of life.
Revelation 17:8
Revelation 21:7
Revelation 22:18, a warning
Note: first 2 scriptures are what David prayed in prayer after he royally messed up, and knew it.
This is how we should pray in 1 John 1:9 always.
(Your Surety= Hebrews 6:18-20)
When we royally mess up.
We are a Royal Priesthood. In Hebrews 6:18-20 is named the High Priest of our faith.
I will state at the outset Melvin, that I've never fasted & prayed: I've never sensed the need to do so, though I do understand Jesus Own Words in this regard ( Matthew 17:21) & others in the Bible who have fasted & prayed ( Luke 2:37, Acts 14:23). There is no reason to not fast & pray, but when we consider these examples, it seems clear that fasting (coupled with prayer), is an act to make one more conscious & focused on the important/urgent matter in our hearts or in the spiritual work we might be called to do, that engages with the spirit world.
The opposite is also true: if you have a big lunch & its a lovely warm day, it doesn't take much for the body to relax & slowly drift away into sleep (for me at least). But when the body is denied food & coupled with a determination to bring our matters before the Lord, then our spirits are more centred on this & stray thoughts & need for sleep are kept at bay. As well, I would think that the Lord also sees the earnestness of our hearts about our matters before Him & we in a sense 'wrestle with the Lord' in prayer as Jacob did physically with God's Angel, saying, "I will not let thee go, except thou bless me." ( Genesis 32:26). And James in James 5:16 says, "The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much", which almost implies that if we choose to fast & pray, then this adds 'weight' to our fervent, effectual praying. Does this make our prayers more powerful? If our prayers are then made in full faith not doubting, in full earnestness, in full agreement with the Will of God, then yes, by fasting, both ourselves & God are pressed into 'action': from us, focused fervent prayer; from God, being conscious of our appeal to Him & not letting go until we see His Hand move.
Maybe others here on this Site, who engage in fasting & prayer may be able to help you further in this matter.
"Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His MERCY He saved us, by the washing of REGENERATION, and renewal of the Holy Ghost." Titus 3:5-6
Zion, generally is referred to as Jerusalem (the City of David). Sometimes, it is referred to as the Fortress of Zion or Mount Zion. The earliest reference to Jerusalem is in Genesis 14:18, when Melchizedek, King of Salem went out to meet Abram. Jerusalem means, City/Town/House of Peace.
May I suggest you reflect on Psalms 46:1, Psalms 51:14.

If you're still confused, ask Jesus to show you the way to salvation, he'll give you wisdom.
James 1:5 "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him."
John 14:6 "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."
We are not to let sin reign in us, but godliness by the power of the Holy Spirit

I believe the key is, Is the wrong doing past or presently in your life today?
We all have had wrong doing in the past and still fail short of perfection today. Thing is do we practice it or have we turned from it?
Hopefully I refreshed your comment so others may help.
