My LORD JESUS CHRIST is worthy of all the praise I can give HIM. I can only truly worship HIM when I know my KING personally through HIS word and the help of the HOLY SPIRIT in me.

    GOD to shine HIS face on all who love and trust HIM; and bless us all gloriously. 2 Chronicles 7:14, 15; Galatians 5:16; Matthew 28:18-20;

    2 Peter 3:9; Titus 2: 11-14;

    Ephesians 2: 8-10

Thank YOU FATHER for preserving YOUR word for our daily use. May we enter into the harvest and seek to fulfill YOUR will in us.

GOD bless and provide for all on this forum.

Psalm 65. This Psalm has several prophetic overtones; both of the first coming and Second Coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Verse 2 reminds us of Haggai 2:7 as the "desire of nations" shall come. Again; we see specifically mentioned those who are in prayer and God "hearest" them. God does not heed to the prayers of the wicked ( Prov. 15:8); this of course can be extended to those in rebellion. Christ is NOT desired of men ( Isaiah 53:3) in our natural state; and to understand the beauty of the love the Father extended to us who was pleased to "crush His Son" ( Isaiah 53:10) while we were yet enemies is something beyond our comprehension.

1 Samuel 13 shows how David was chosen; much like the verse 4 in this Psalm. Certainly Christ was chosen as well to fulfill all righteousness ( Matthew 3:13) and His baptism was part of the plan.

Verse 5 is somewhat indicative of the scenario during His judgments; although there through the rest of the Psalm generally gives God's blessings through the natural cycle with tides (verse 7) and weather patterns of rain v. 9-12; and the resulting harvest (v. 13). These will; of course be brought to the greatest fruition during the Millennial period and we will see an end to much destruction with natural disasters; notwithstanding those who refuse to come to Jerusalem to worship shall have no rain. ( Zech. 14:8).

Thank you Lord for choosing me. I Praise you Lord for being present in every facet of my life. Nothing happens without your knowledge of it. The abundance of your grace and mercies are available unto whomsoever chooses to receive them from your hand. Let me Lord desire your thoughts in every thing that is before me. Let me shout for joy and sing of your greatness, your majesty, and loving kindness. Let me tap into your wisdom and knowledge and stay there to feast on it daily and for all times. Come quickly Lord God Almighty!

Bless our nations leadership to call on you and receive the salvation of the Lord. Turn our government, society; but especially the people of the land to seek your wisdom.

Oh, we like sheep have gone astray, and He hath laid upon Him, the iniquity of us all. Is.53:6

He gave his life, for us to have, that we might receive Eternal

Life through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Oh, that our Country, would turn back to

God our Father, in Heaven. Every knee shall bow, and every tongue, shall confess that Jesus

is Lord and our Savior. Romans 14:11

It's wonderful that God has enabled you to read and memorize scripture. I pray that you that you come to fully know Jesus Christ and his love; He that loved us so much he suffered and died to pay for our sins and then rose again from the dead to give us everlasting life.

Your quote of scripture in context ( Psalm 65:1-3)

"Praise waiteth for thee, O God, in Sion: and unto thee shall the vow be performed.

O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come.

Iniquities prevail against me: as for our transgressions, thou shalt purge them away."

Let us keep in mind "thou shalt purge them away"

I now refer to Hebrews 1:3 which speaks of the Son's accomplishment:

    Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

The words "when he had by himself purged our sins" puts Jesus Christ in the place of the 'Elohiym of Psalm 65.

The pharisees attempted to reason this out in Luke 5:21:

"And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, Who is this which speaketh blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone?"

    1 Timothy 6:12

Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

    2 Timothy 4:7

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:

    1 Corinthians 9:26

I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:

    Psalm 65

2.O thou that hearest prayer , unto thee shall all flesh come .

All flesh prays to who ?

    The LORD GOD .

Yes Jesus often prayed to The LORD GOD his father .

And still makes intercession to The LORD GOD on our behalf .

HELL, do these scriptures prophesy HELL. God loves his enemies as he teaches us to love our enemies.

Amos 3:7 Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.

Psalms 22:27 All the ends of the world shall remember, and turn unto the Lord, and all the kindred of the nations shall worship before thee.

Psalms 65:2 O Thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come.

Psalms 66:4 All the earth shall worship thee and shall sing unto thee; they shall sing to thy name. Selah.

I Timothy 4:10 For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, WHO IS THE SAVIOUR OF ALL MEN, specially those that believe.

  • Searching the word SOFT - In Reply on Psalms 91:7 - 4 years ago
    Job 23:16

For God maketh my heart soft, and the Almighty troubleth me:

    Job 41:3

Will he make many supplications unto thee? will he speak soft words unto thee?

    Psalms 55:21

The words of his mouth were smoother than butter, but war was in his heart: his words were softer than oil, yet were they drawn swords.

    Psalms 65:10

Thou waterest the ridges thereof abundantly: thou settlest the furrows thereof: thou makest it soft with showers: thou blessest the springing thereof.

    Proverbs 15:1

A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.

    Proverbs 25:15

By long forbearing is a prince persuaded, and a soft tongue breaketh the bone.

    Isaiah 38:15

What shall I say? he hath both spoken unto me, and himself hath done it: I shall go softly all my years in the bitterness of my soul.

    Matthew 11:8

But what went ye out for to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? behold, they that wear soft clothing are in kings' houses.

    Luke 7:25

But what went ye out for to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? Behold, they which are gorgeously apparelled, and live delicately, are in kings' courts.

    *********

I didn't find any soft headed people. I'm not sure what that means biblically either.

What version of Bible are you using?

It's sad that there are people that do not believe God's Word. I am grieved. These are not the words of men but inspiration inspired by God's Holy Spirit. Read this psalm everyday for 30 days and dwell on it. Bask in his word like it is sunlight. Then, taste and see the goodness of The Lord.

Truth brings stillnes to a man's heart and peace to his bones. That truth is the acknowledgment of the need to constantly dwell in God's presence. As Gods children our fate is certain. Our fate is that God's plans for our lives can never be diminished by the attack of the enemy.
  • Annie on Psalms 65 - 8 years ago
Our decision to dwell with God is a decision that seals us for heaven and protects us on earth. Like David we can say we have no fear what men can do. Our desire is to dwell in God's house all the days our life and there in is God's peace and joy.

The reach of this verse is not limited to Catholic priests only, hence the word PREACHER. A prevalent lie that I hear being preached is eternal hell-fire. If eternal hell-fire included spirits of blood and water then these verses would not be true. Psalms 65:2 O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come. Psalms 145:21 My mouth shall speak the praise of the LORD: and let all flesh bless his holy name for ever and ever. Luke 3:6 And all flesh shall see the salvation of God. John 17:2 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. John 17:12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition that the scripture might be fulfilled.......the son of perdition is the anti-Christ, the devil. May the LORD Jesus Christ bless all who yearn for truth and obedience in Him. Amen

There are so many verses on answering prayer. GOD answers prayer according to faith strength level each person is given the measure of faith however that does not mean faith strength levels are the same, the faith strength level is up to each individual GOD does not answer sinners prayers w the exception of salvation GOD does not answer prayers to do someone direct harm,no exceptions. GOD cannot tempt nor be tempted or involved with sin GOD has to allow satan access to tempt us. Strong 's Concordance Bestow Bestow this a very interesting word it means to grant. GOD bestows on us the answers to our prayers. Finally my Question Example First GOD 's obligation to bestow a sin based prayer if we do not pray for the direct harm of another person along w the required faith strength level. Second perhaps it is according to GOD 's favor just to see if we will go through with it,even though GOD knows the answer. A And think if we do not go through with our bestowed sin prayer GOD 's favor will be shown in magnitude. B And think if we do go through with our bestowed sin prayer GOD 's judgment will be shown in magnitude. Third If the harm or sin of another is due to their choice it is acceptable. Examples Unacceptable prayer includes the death of another, stolen property or sex w a specific person. Acceptable sex with another according to their free choice. This is a serious question Agree Disagree that includes an explanation for my understanding. Thanks Thomas
