    Speaking of God as Jesus, Psalm 65, verses 5 and 6 read, 'You faithfully answer our prayers with awesome deeds, O God our Savior. You are the hope of everyone on earth, even those who sail on distant seas. You formed the mountains by your power and armed yourself with mighty strength. ' This perfectly agrees with what the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John and other Scriptures teach us about Jesus. We are told in many Scriptures that Jesus is our Savior. Acts 4 tells us that there is no other name in all of heaven for us to call on to save us. John 1 tells us that Jesus created everything there is, and upholds us with his mighty power. How long, then, are we going to keep insisting that God and Jesus are two different persons? And how long are we going to insist that Jesus is not God? The longer we insist on these errors the farther we drift away from Jesus as our Savior. There was a time when we knew better. When I was a small child I often heard the old people speaking of Jesus as God. They would say 'God help me, Save me Jesus ' all in the same breath. By this I knew that Jesus was God. But now things have changed. We have forgotten who Jesus is. now we think of Jesus as some distant figure, whose identi is nknown to us. There are so many theories that I can 't name them all. The problem is, we have forgotten that God has more than one personality. As the old song says, 'God in three persons. Blessed Trinity. ' This means that God thinks in three distinct ways. He thinks Father, Son, and Holy Spiit. The Father is the way God makes his dicisions. The Holy Spirit is the way God inspires us to believe in what he is doing. But Jesus is always the way God speaks to us. God bless you!

    @Marcus,
    "Unto thee shall the vow be preformed." Simply means any single vow a man of God vows is honoured in God honour and reverence.
    Just like the return of Jesus Christ and the rewards of the future are the motivation in every single undertaking Christians engage in.
    God bless you.

    "Unto thee shall the vow be preformed." What vow is referred to here?

    Psalms 65 is a prayer to open prosperity in one’s life. Jesus said, "I came so that you could live life more abundantly."

    Thank you Pastor. It's amazing how God fights for his children at all times. Verse 5 of this chapter made it clear to us that God is the greatest caring parent that cares for his children. In the books of numbers chapter 22,God protected his people and that's what he does today. In case you have not accepted Jesus as your saviour, this is the chance to do so. You too will become one of his children. Amen.

    "Iniquities prevail against me:" Like a violent storm upon the sea, iniquities can beat down upon us. Like a ship upon the sea, and seafarers on deck, a sudden, violent storm (iniquities - evil, perverseness, wickedness, unrighteousness...) can arise and blast against our soul. Insolent,they are. They come in opposition to our will. They stike and drive unrelentingly. Will the ship withstand? Will the seafarers be lost at sea?

    What if the prayer "peace be still" renders no change in the storm. "How long, O Lord, how long?" becomes the souls thought. "Iniquities prevail against me" but they are not me. "For I have kept the ways of the LORD, and have not wickedly departed from my God." ( Psalms 18:21) The word wickedly means to be wrong. When iniquities prevail against you, keep the way of the Lord; do not wickedly depart from God - do not be moved to become the wrong. Stand fast, if the waves go over your head, keep the way of the Lord, do not depart from truth. If the storm rages day and night and it seems to have no end, hold fast, for if you have to endure a long night,(this time on earth) the storm (the iniquities prevailing against you) cannot enter the kingdom of heaven! Continue; keep the ways of the LORD, do not wickedly depart from God.

    God is good and does not do evil, yet in His Holiness (Righteousness)He does somethings that look humanly terrible.Example,killing is terrible, yet God killed the Egyptians for His people in righteousness. Because of His covenant, God can do anything to favour His own- "Jacob have I loved, Esau have I hated".
