There's many reasons why we can feel a void in the Spirit moving in our lives.
Sometimes it's chastening or just being out of the will of God.
Other times it could be a wavering of our faith.
And then it can be pruning for Spiritual growth.
Sometimes God's presence is not clear or obvious to the human eye.
That's one reason why we are called to "live by faith, not by sight.
2 Corinthians 5:7.
The Holyspirit causes us to trust in God's promises such as Hebrews 13:5-6.
"Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me".
King David had to deal with Chastening and Correction in his reign as King.
But David knew God and trusted God and believed in his promises and mercy.
You see it evident in his Psalms 71:1-24 prayer.
Especially verses "20-21.Thou, which hast shewed me great and sore troubles, shalt quicken me again, and shalt bring me up again from the depths of the earth.
Thou shalt increase my greatness, and comfort me on every side.
We are to bare fruit. We are expected to.
John 15:7-8.
If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.
There's things that hinder us.
"Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.
Psalm 70 and 71. These two Psalms would appear to be a continous passage; let me know if I'm wrong here. This is the last Psalm related to David personally in this section and Psalm 72 indicates the last one authored by David as related to Solomon.
The theme of being "poor and needy" and making haste for help is seen repeated once again as we saw in Psalm 69 and most of the preceding Psalms in the 2nd section of the book. Verse 18 makes it pretty clear that he was indeed aged with the gray hairs mentioned and a point blank statement of being old. He desired to remain until he reached "this generation" and power to every one that is to come. This would be accomplished of course through giving Solomon quite a financial and planning "jumpstart" to the opulent Temple being built with a modern day value of materials easily in the billions. I have seen estimates in the HUNDREDS of billions. How sad that Solomon's downfall basically ended the Kingdom of Israel and let to a divided state which has to date never reached it's fullest glory but will in the Millennium.
We notice in verse 17 David recognized being taught from an early age. Solomon also had proper upbringing but didn't learn until his life was nearly over the folly that his life became following foreign women and hoarding possessions despite God's warnings to him. Such is the message of Ecclesiastes. May we all learn so as not to embrace madness and folly to achieve understanding!
Praise and proper worship (verse 22-24) also were remembered by David. He was a man after God's own heart ( 1 Samuel 13:14) which Saul didn't like to acknowledge. This was despite his grevious sin with Bathsheeba that the Lord ultimately used for His purposes but cost him the privilege of building the Temple himself. ( 1 Chron. 22:18 and elsewhere).
You are correct, that Yoga is not mentioned or recommended in the Bible because it is a Hindu spiritual practice that goes back to ancient times. In my opinion based on my research on this practice is that Christians should not practice yoga, even if it is "Christianized" which is another term for syncretic melding of a pagan practice with Christian overlay. My doctor has recommended yoga for me, but I have turned down this recommendation each time because of what I know about the pagan underpinnings of it. There are many, many exercises one can do to strengthen their body, enhance their balance, and de-stress their body other than using yoga.
I don't understand that the Bible is connected with Yoga. I have delved into the subject of Yoga. It is a tool of Hinduism. We should not have anything to do with false gods.
Thank the Lord that He is the one who delivered me from my mother's womb. Today being in the mother's womb is one of the most dangerous places to be. I praise God that the Supreme Court is going to rule on Roe v. Wade and settle this issue once and for all. I pray the Lord will give them the wisdom to make the correct judgment and leave it up to the States to settle the issue. God will hold us accountable if we do not hold them up in prayer for this most important ruling.
Psalms 9:10, Psalms 18:2,30, Psalms 56:3, Psalms 71:5, Isaiah 12:2, our trust & hope should ultimately be in GOD

In order not to be moved and confused, I must know my Lord Very intimately. I must know what makes my God Love, Laugh, Why He will bless and why He will with hold a blessing. His mind towards sin, and righteousness. Holiness and faithfulness, commitment, through His Word. V6 For He is my hope and my Trust. Through me, people will either come to know Christ or not. Through my speech and testimony people will learn to trust Christ as Savior or blaspheme against Him and turn away from Him. V7- 9 Many wonder of me and know not my strength comes from You. V16 I will extol You and make mention of Your righteousness and salvation all the day. V21-24
"21 Thou shalt increase my greatness, and comfort me on every side.
22 I will also praise thee with the psaltery, even thy truth, O my God: unto thee will I sing with the harp, O thou Holy One of Israel.
23 My lips shall greatly rejoice when I sing unto thee; and my soul, which thou hast redeemed.
24 My tongue also shall talk of thy righteousness all the day long: for they are confounded, for they are brought unto shame, that seek my hurt." I must be faithful and true to plant the seed, and water it. The Lord, He will give the increase.
I praise your Holy Name. Let me not waver or be disheartened, For my Lord God King Jesus Christ is on the throne in Heaven and in my heart.
Waiting is always hard to do! The holy spirit reveals himself through the word. As simple as that may seem, we need to be ready to receive Him. Frustrating the spirit is what we do. Our nature is always contending with the world. U may find someone who is living in the spirit, I know if it were not for the Holy spirit I would not be doing His will. The Holy spirit is a person, Jesus called him the comforter. Study to show thyself approved. I wonder how the early church with little word, other than word of mouth, how they grew in faith? Fellowship with those who believe in the resurrection of Christ and sharing the comforter is always a good way to learn.
As I just want to post this to you S Spencer. As that Psalm you posted lead me to open the Bible to that page. Then reading Psalms 71: is perfect for my heart this day.
In thee, O LORD, do I put my trust: let me never be put to confusion.
Deliver me in thy righteousness, and cause me to escape: incline thine ear unto me, and save me.
Be thou my strong habitation, whereunto I may continually resort: thou hast given commandment to save me; for thou art my rock and my fortress.
Deliver me, O my God, out of the hand of the wicked, out of the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man.
For thou art my hope, O Lord GOD: thou art my trust from my youth.
By thee have I been holden up from the womb: thou art he that took me out of my mother's bowels: my praise shall be continually of thee.
I am as a wonder unto many; but thou art my strong refuge.
Let my mouth be filled with thy praise and with thy honour all the day.
Cast me not off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength faileth.
King David,s Psalm reassured me in shadow of death is there. That God is wanting over Senior and we are not forgotten and therefore produce fruit for Kingdom of God. Thank you Lord!!!
Someone put a dead bird at my door, this is the second time this has happened, I am a child of Jesus Christ and have not done anything to anyone please pray for me,

He expresses God's faithfulness (vv. 1-3) - He rests everything on the character of God and on the compassion of God. Let a person invest his faith and trust in the living God and he will find that, when all else fails, God is still in business. Praised God. Amen.
Our father which are in heaven hollow be they name thou will be done on earth as well as in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive our debt as we forgive our debtor. Thank you my God for not failing Me, father because father you can't fail.you are perfect in everything you my God of lights.
Yes Hazel, You are so right. The glory and magnificence of his Being and Word are truly beyond our understanding. Then He also indwells us with His Holy Spirit. He loved us so much that His only Son came and paid the supreme price for our eternal deliverance. All we have to do is to receive His gift. May all of us truly know that the greatest word in Elohim's vocabulary is LOVE ! ! ! jrock.
I love the Lord Jesus with all my heart and all my mine and all my soul I love the Lord unconditional love he is mine and I am his i worship him alone word cannot explain his greatness
O God, Thou has taught me from my youth ( Ps. 71: 17): hitherto have I declared thy wondrous works. I believe that Psalm 71 clearly shows that the psalmist David had a close relationship with God who taught him from his youth. He depended on God to fight his battles. As children of God we will always have enemies and David was no exception. His praise to God never ceased.
"I am as a wonder unto many; but thou art my strong refuge." One of my biggest griefs and questions for many years has been, Why do Churches NOT seem to know, and many even fight against the true Word of God and the Glad Tidings of Christ; turning it into a social club for mending relationships and being successful in life? I'm seeing more and more that its because they are afraid of the cross.
