Jesus wanted to the disciples to trust in Him and him alone. But knowing that Peter and another apostle had swords He was saying that if they were to trust in a sword, there was coming a time when they would need one. (Ellicott's commentary)

It is better to be serving Jehovah God in the way that he wants than to be living like a wicked person for many days. Having God's favor is more important than any imperfect desires.

Jesus proclaimed that if we have seen Him we have seen the Father. He came to fulfill the will of the Father. If we through faith have accepted JESUS as our Lord and Savior all the promises of God will be fulfilled. We must walk in the faith of our Salvation, the commandments of our God and He will Sustain us in every situation. Deliverance from this world brings peace.

Nothing can compare to the riches of God. An ounce of God out weighs anything that Wickedness can provide.

It's not good to complicate the simple: simply put- the Father and the Son are both the Sun and Shield for all that believe and trust in Them

Today's text says: "The Lord God is a sun and shield...... Is the Lord God or the son of God? In 1Corinthinans 8: 6says: 'There is actually to us one God, the Father, and there is one Lord,Jesus Christ, meditate on this.

Jehovah God can be the light in our life and he can also prove to be a shield by protecting us.

Verse 11: We may face ridicule, opposition, and difficulties for striving to serve Jehovah God, but this verse promises us that God will not hold back ANYTHING good to those who walk in integrity. This is very encouraging and gives us comfort and hope.

Worry about things of this world but we just walk up right there is nothing that he won't withhold from us that is powerful let's do what Jesus said and live with out worries thank you Jesus amen

Vs. 11,12 really touches me. Jehovah God is a source of protection! He also rewards us for our faith. I love how it says that God will not withhold anything good for those who walk in integrity. Sometimes it is not always easy to serve God. However, I gain much more from obeying God than temporary enjoyment of sin.

JESUS is our healer,deliverer, strong tower,provider, the only wise God and our king.

JESUS is our refuge in this present world!

The Levite was truly content with what God allowed him to do. He viewed it as a privilege to serve at Jehovah God's house of worship. We should view our privilege the same.

I would rather have the lowest job in the house of my God than to have the highest position with the ungodly : For a day in the courts of my God IS BETTER than a thousand : for the Lord is a sun and shield , the Lord will give Grace and Glory : No Good thing will the Lord with hold from them that walk uprightly . I love the lord and I love being in his presence. Many say they don't have to be in church to serve God, but it is a privilege to me to be in the house of the Lord with my brothers and sisters to worship in his house.

Jesus is a true friend that will never leave you nor forsake you! Jesus is our healer, deliverer, refuge, fortress, our strength, hope in this world, almighty God, everlasting father and the only wise God!!
