My GOD is great and greatly to be praised. May I worship and glorify my SAVIOR KING according to scripture in the new year, 2024 and until YOUR return.

GOD to shine HIS face on all who love and worship HIM.

May the new year bring forth great change in the brethren. LORD bless the peace in Jerusalem. As the conflict grows we look forward to YOUR hand on its final out come.

May we saints stand fast in prayer, supplication with thanksgiving to give YOU the worship YOU deserve.

Happy New Year and a blessing to have a prosperous year in CHIRST name to all on this forum.

    Hey Dan

    Jesse A, is right,

John is speaking to believers who are in the progressional stages of "sanctification of the Spirit unto obedience & sprinkling of the Blood of Jesus". they're learning & putting on Christ in ever increasing measures, yet they have not yet attain to the baptismal of Christ were self is crucified & they are "dead unto sin" but are in the working out of their salvation with fear & trembling, revealing the true fear of the Lord is working within their hearts, to depart from all evil.

In this ever increasing measures of growth in Christ/Grace/Light/Spirit 1John 1:8 is refer too, John commands them to 1John 2:1 keep repenting, remaining tender to the motions of His Spirit, with a heart devoted to the fear of the Lord until the appointed time of the Father when we are baptize with the baptismal of Christ, " thoroughly purged". We having experientially learnt the struggles of Rom 6 & 7 and have been brought to Rom 8:1,2 & their is no condemnation because His Word has

Isa 55:11, go & sin no more, we have been brought through 1Pet 5:10 in Christ, born again of the Incorruptible Seed & thus become incorruptible too, by the Cross/ Spirit / Grace / Light shining in our hearts & received John 1:12

through all these experiences in the working out of our salvation & in our continuing to perfecting of holiness in the love & fear of God, ever growing in Grace, we can say with John, 1John 1:1-3

Oh, praise the Lord, Psalms 62:5 Proverbs 23:18

2 Timothy 2:19 Psalms 93:5 " who houses we are"

the LORD, strengthen & encourage you

Jesus was the fulfillment of Scripture in the Old Testament. Luke 24:19-27, Psalms 22, Isaiah 53, Zechariah 13:6, & many more.

The Holy Scriptures are broken down in Books & Separated by New Testament & Old Testament, none of which have been accredited as authored by Jesus. However many believe all were written about Jesus (redemption ) The Old Testament is before Jesus was born. The New Testament begins with Jesus birth, death on cross, resurrection from the grave, the witnessed accounts of Jesus life, ministry, miracles. Then continues the Good News os Salvation & ministry of the Church. Christians & Messianic Jews believe in the New Testament as Christ The Messiah the promised everlasting savior. Psalms 93:2, 1Kings 9:5, Zechariah 6:12-13, Psalms 89:3,4, 1Chronicles 17:11-27, Hebrews 8,

Matthew 8:4, Jesus obeyed scripture, Mark 1:44, & Jesus parents on Earth obeyed scripture, Luke 2:22,

Jesus gave us the Holy Spirit = Luke 11, John 20:21-22, Luke 12, Acts 1:5, John 14:16,26, John 15:26,

    2Timothy 3:16

    Hope these are helpful

Verse 4-The raging sea is no match for the Almighty God. This is one way that we see the great power God has.

    Yes it is,

2 Peter 1:19-21, We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

2 Timothy 3:15-17, And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

    Hi Penny.

Absolutely Yes. Everything in the Bible is true. Otherwise God would have failed to give us Instructions for Holy living and Salvation ect. It would be saying God can't preserve his word and preserve Truth!!

Wouldn't that be an insult to a Holy all knowing God?

    I Hope that Helps.

    God bless.

It is the will of Sovereign God to receive immense glory from His creation and how great is that glory given to Christ when he saves us from our unrighteousness. That glory far exceeds the glory Christ would receive only from a righteous creation.

I'm sorry to read of your sad loss but to know that your husband loved the Lord, and is now his present joy & your comfort & assurance.

The best Scripture that I can think of, considering your husband's connection with the sea, is in Psalm 107:23-30. Even though the Psalm may seem irrelevant to some extent, the thought that whether going through physical storms (which your husband would be well acquainted with), or even the 'storms' that we all have to face in life, that the Lord will bring His children to their safe haven (add, Heaven) at the end of our lives.

Hebrews 6:18,19 (loosely transliterated): "God has given both his promise and his oath. Since God cannot lie, we who have fled to Him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold onto the hope that lies before us. This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. This hope leads us through the veil that was torn down at Jesus' death into God's inner sanctuary. Jesus has already gone into Heaven for us. He has become our eternal High Priest". My husband (his name), had his hope resting only in His Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ; Christ was his sure anchor as he both sailed the high seas and throughout his life. And now that Anchor (Jesus Christ) Who was held on in faith throughout his life has now become his sight, as he stands in great joy before his God and Saviour.

    Other useful Scriptures: Romans 8:35-39; John 11:25-27; Revelation 21:3-7; 1 Corinthians 15:51-57; John 14:1-3.

I hope something here helps you & will reflect the hope & joy that your husband had in the Lord. May the Lord continue to comfort your heart by His Spirit & His precious Word.

    Psalm 93

The floods are representative of people's and their troubles that overwhelm us. The Lord is greater and mightier than anything that can come against us. God with us is more than tens of thousands of the enemy round about us. Praise the Lord who fights our battles and wins our wars.

Ponder the Words of God.."The LORD reigneth, he is clothed with majesty; the LORD is clothed with strength, wherewith he hath girded himself: the world also is stablished, that it cannot be moved."
Ponder the Words of God..."the world also is established, that it cannot be moved."
Now ponder the infighting of Mankind over insignificance! How do we have the nerve?
  • Eibren Lara on Psalms 93 - 6 years ago
"the world also is stablished, that it cannot be moved." Important part we were told is a lie. All scripture is as if God breathed. Why aren't we taking the whole thing as such? I'll always let God be true and every man a liar. He's told us the "knowledge" of this world is foolishness with Him. Fixed, firm, immovable=opposite of what were told. Beautiful chapter. As it all is.
  • Elsie Long on Psalms 93 - 6 years ago
Thank you Jesus for that word. Let us not forget that what God puts in place is solid, and cannot be moved as his throne is forever. Proof of him calming the waves, and parting the seas is something he does in our daily lives. I will keep prasing him no matter what.
