I agree with you, the mystery of God is complex.

I do not agree with you concerning the "mystery of godliness" as it pertains to Scripture you provided, being God Himself. I believe it concerns the Son of God being born of woman ( Isaiah 7:14). Jesus is the One spoken of in 1 Timothy 3:16 and the One promised in Genesis 3:15

I agree with you, Jesus is the way to salvation.

I, however, must disagree with you that God is Jesus and Jesus is God, and again will state that I believe Jesus never came claiming to be His Father.

Jesus came as the personification of the Words of the Father John 1:1-2); and His authority came from the Father; and He lost none of His Father's sheep ( John 17:12)

But Jesus is not the Father.

The word mystery only occurs in the New Testament.

The word "mystery" is the Greek word "musterion" and basically means a "secret."

There is more than one "mystery" spoken of in Scripture.

There is the mystery concerning the DURATION of time of the blindness of Israel ( Isaiah 6:9-10, Romans 11:25).

There is the mystery concerning the kingdom of God which was revealed in parables to the general public, but explained to the 12 Apostles; ( Matthew 13:10-11, 1 Peter 1:10-12)

There is the mystery concerning the fact that "we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed" ( John 11:25-26, 1 Corinthians 15:51, also look at Philippians 3:14, 1 Thessalonians 4:15, Hebrews 9:27)

There is the mystery of iniquity and lawlessness that is connected to MYSTERY BABYLON of Revelation 17:5-7, (look at Daniel 8:23, Daniel 12:4, Matthew 22:4, Acts 2:38, 2 Thessalonians 2:7)

There is the great mystery or secret concerning the Gentiles being co-heirs in the body of Christ, which was only revealed after the second rejection the King and the Kingdom by the Jews in Acts 28:17-31. This is the secret that was kept secret since the world began and what is being spoken of in Romans 16:25-26, Ephesians 3:1-12, and Colossians 1:24-27.

Revelation 17:10 is all about Papacy. Seven kings are 7 generic names comes after 1798, ie Pius, Leo, Gregory, Benedict, John, Paul, John & Paul. Catholic bishop st malachy's prophecy confirm this. Francis pope is petrus romanus. The malachy prophecy also predicts that our Lord Jesus will return in that time of his reign. So our Lord Jesus is coming very very soon. Much sooner than we think. Popes are kings because they rule the kingdom of vatican. Beast is referred as political &religious head. Napoleon captured pope pius during 1798 and papacy wounded by sword. Papacy reigned from AD- 538 to 1798 continuously for 1260years.

Genesis 1:6 KJV

(6) And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.

The "firmament" or "expanse" is a metaphor about the opening of the hearing ear and the "waters" are people ( Revelation 17:15).

The hearing of the Word of Truth from Heaven among many people divides them: the believers from the unbelievers.

Even the word for "ear" in Hebrew (ozen) means "broadness, to expand".

Job 36:10 KJV

(10) He openeth also their ear to discipline, and commandeth that they return from iniquity.

God opens up our ears to His knowledge that is sent from Heaven via the Spirit. The "firmament" is called "Heaven" for what we hear is from there. Jesus said often: he that has an ear, let him hear

(6) He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

The good news is reported unto us with Holy Spirit is sent down from Heaven

1 Peter 1:12 KJV

Jesus healed the deaf man by looking into Heaven as He opened up his ears. The "firmament" or expanse is the opening up of our ears to God's knowledge from Heaven.

Mark 7:33-34 KJV

(33) And he took him aside from the multitude, and put his fingers into his ears, and he spit, and touched his tongue;

(34) And looking up to heaven, he sighed, and saith unto him, Ephphatha, that is, Be opened.

Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word/Saying of God who said "Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters." The "waters" above the Heaven believe upon what they hear while those waters under do not believe. The "firmament" is firm and supports the waters above as they believe in what they hear.

The book of Revelation is the Revelation of Jesus Christ. It speaks of end-time events and the coming judgment, but also gives us a picture of our Lord Jesus Christ coming in glory. As far as what's going on in our country (U.S.), I see a lot of evil, but that is going on all over the world. The things happening here do not fit into the book of Revelation as far as end-time prophecy is concerned. All end-time prophecy centers around the nation of Israel, not the United States.

Revelation 17:5 mentions the phrase "Mystery, Babylon the Great." In Revelation, Babylon is cryptically known as Rome. Chapter 17 gives us the description of the destruction of Babylon which was shown to the apostle John. It describes this woman who is riding the beast. She is called the great whore that sits upon many waters.

In Revelation 17:6, John sees the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. For many centuries, Rome, under the direction of the papacy tortured, burned, and slaughtered many Christians.

Revelation 17:9 gives us the location of this woman who rides the beast. It's a city that sits on seven hills or mountains. Rome is the only city on this earth that sits on seven hills. John is shown the mystery of this woman, Babylon the great, and her future destruction in Revelation 17:16.

The beast is only going to allow the religious system, the prophet, to ride this beast for so long. And the ten nations are going to give their allegiance to this woman. But when the antichrist is through with her, then he's going to turn against her, as well as the kings because they're going to be on his side, and she's going to be destroyed, this religious system.

Revelation 13:8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

I would encourage others to read the history of Catholicism from it's conception.

Well no, the Beast is not the Vatican; the Papacy is the scarlet harlot that rides it! It is the beast that carries the Vatican, not the other way round. The 10 kings will burn the Vatican to ashes while the angels cheer, even before the Antichrist rises to power (for Daniel tells us that when he rises, he eradicates 3 kings).

Jerusalem was never identified as Babylon; spiritually she was called Sodom and Egypt, but never Babylon. Rome, however, was identified as Babylon; it was a code name for that "Great City". Roman Catholicism is not the true Bride of Christ; it is a counterfeit of Christianity, thus identified as a whore.

All the modern signs may seem to show that the woman represents the RC religion /organisation, but please consider Revelation 11:8 And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified. The "great city" is clearly Jerusalem, my dears - in the Future Day of the LORD! The seven mountains represent the seven kingdoms under which Israel was held captive - Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Persia, Greece, Rome and the seventh kingdom into which the vile person comes and becomes the Antichrist when Satan enters into him. There are more than enough indicators in Rev. 17 to indict Roman Catholicism as the whore. She sits on seven hills; their clergy wear purple and scarlet; they killed the saints and martyrs who wouldn't bend the knee to the papacy (Foxes Book of Martyrs); she is fabulously rich with jewels, gold, precious stones; her tentacles reach worldwide; she has raised and deposed kings; her kingdom is of this world unlike Christ's whose was not; her golden cup is full of the idolatrous fabrication that her priests can turn wine into the actual blood of Christ; her daily masses are a sham where they proclaim that they are sacrificing Christ over and over again. V 18, let us take note to the 2 players here in verse 18. Player no.1, a GREAT CITY that is better known as a GREAT WHORE, see verse 1. What makes her GREAT is her global-powers. Her powers are a combination of HER CURRENCY which is backed-up by her great global military. Player no.2, are all kings of the earth. All kings are enticed and seduced by her using her currency or and her military.

Verse 18. Numerous times, using the same tricks, she rose to power and fell, reigning over a territory here and a territory there for a moment in world history. But, as of 2019 She is back and reigneth over EVERY kings of the earth, meaning the 150-160 nations of the world today 2019, and according to V 16,17, she is about to receive her reward for her fornication, and other ungodly works.

Yes, find a good Bible teaching church that teaches the Bible and not a mans doctrin. Salvation comes through belief in Christ and the power to live for Him comes through the works of the Holy Ghost in our life. Read the book of Romans and when you do it read it out loud, there is power in the spoken word of God! Next read the book of Hebrews the same way out loud and always ask God for wisdom.

Having been raised in the Catholic church and served as an alter boy I can attest to your concerns. God's word tells us "the truth shall set you free". Johns vision in Chapter 17 of the woman is Catholic church and what the church would and has done. Continue to seek the truth in Gods word. Invite Christ into your life and let Him be Lord of your life. Ask our Father for wisdom.
