Mr. Matthew, i like your commentary! The Spirit of Prophecy is the one sign to idetify God 's True Church as they Keep the Commandments of God and the Faith of Jesus.
I believe this verse deals with what can be expected in heaven. If you have done good deeds while on this earth righteousness , you will be clothed in fine linen, clean and white. But if not, you will not be in fine linen. I think this can pertain to different levels of saints that we can expect in heaven. If someone kill 50 people and while in prison finds God and asks for salvation and forgiveness that it will be granted but they will not be dressed in fine linen because their work on earth was not righteous.
Revelation 19 introduces us to a great celebration after the defeat of the mother of abomination. then verse 7, the celebration is now taking a different dimension. Why? it is because the wedding supper of the Lamb is read and the bride I and you is ready. the question now comes, are we ready?
Ronnie, I agree with you fully...I do not have tattoos, I am a Christian that believes God speaks to us through His Word. I read His Word daily, every preacher I tell that too disagrees with me about being written on His thigh. I used to tell my passengers on the city bus I drove about that scripture. I figured God was using that scripture through me to get people to read His Word. His mercy endures and if I am wrong He will forgive my misunderstanding Him. Every time I would share that scripture with someone, right as they got off the bus, thet would ask for the scripture again. Just for the record, Jesus had piercings too. His hands were pierced for you and me.
It does not say it is on his robe that is hanging down....it says his thigh....why not say on his chest and thigh, if they meant clothing...no it says his vesture and thigh. And, Jesus was not talking about tattoos when he was saying to not mark yourself or cut. I do enjoy how hypocrites work and how they work the Bible to suit there needs and versions of right and wrong.
I WANT TO KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT JESUS SO I NEEDED TO UNDERSTAND THIS SCRPITURE BETTER THANK YOU FOR MAKING CLEARER IT SAYS ON HIS VESTURE ! SO NOT ON HIS SKIN I KNOW WE ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO DEFILE OURSELVES !
the book of revelation was written when Jesus was in Heaven having been given all the power and glory meaning He cannot be "he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. " being talked about in this verse.
confused after seeing all this I am not saying I don t like tattoos but the word clearly says to not mark our bodies So which one is right or has subsistence I don t have any tattoos probably because I don t like needles LOL
It says it is written on His vesture(garment) 'AND' on His thigh. Therefore, not only is it written on His garment that hangs down to His thigh BUT it CLEARLY says it is "on His thigh", which means skin.
Out of his mouth comes the same (s)word that uttered the universe into existence and will pierce hearts to defeat nations. 2000 years ago that was as true as today and they crusified him because they thought he should be aggressive with instruments of death and destruction.
No Jesus does not have a tattoo (He would not deface His body and then tell you not to do it). The scripture says "He has ON his vesture (His Robe). therefore His body is covered, so hwo then would you say you see anything on His naked skin. If you were to look at the most of the Priestly robes they have a shawl which drapes over the shoulders and hangs down the front and it generally hangs to the "THIGH" length. This is where the monogram KING OF KINGS is written on one side the LORD OF LORDS on the other
I think the beast is Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who pretended to be a scientist and is being summoned for unspecified criminal charges in Iran on November 26, 2013. The Great Tribulation was from March 25, 2000 to March 24, 2010, a period of exactly 10 years.

Psalms Chapter 127 did not mention the phrase, "thy word above thy name". But to answer your question, the exact statement written in the Bible was this, "I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise "THY NAME" for thy lovingkindness and for "THY TRUTH": for thou hast magnified "THY WORD" above "ALL THY NAME" ( Psalms 138:2). It means, GOD magnified "THE WORD OF GOD" above "ALL THE NAME OF GOD" and We all know that GOD has so many names mentioned in the Holy Scriptures but there was only one name which God had magnified above all HIS name and that was "The Word of God". The Word of God was described in the Bible as this, "His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had "A NAME WRITTEN, THAT NO MAN KNEW, BUT HE HIMSELF". And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and "HIS NAME" IS CALLED "THE WORD OF GOD" ( Revelation 19:12-13). So, the only one name that God magnified above all His name is "A NAME WRITTEN, THAT NO MAN KNEW, BUT HE HIMSELF". Therefore, all names that EVERYBODY KNEW is NOT The Word of God which God had magnified.

When I read John 12:44 I think of Revelation 19:10..and I'am not sure That we should be worshipping Jesus. Is it that I am having trouble understanding what the Godhead is?
Kind of Kings and Lord of Lords signifies the ultimate supreme truth according to the word and all that follow have knowledge and understanding through virtue in the spirit of the power of His spoken word to follow thereof.
Terry...not sure where you find in Revelation 19:11 7 years of celebration in heaven or 7 years of hell on earth. Revelation 19:11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
