Revelation 20:13 and they were judged every man according to their works.

The you say, Jesus Christ doesn't decide our salvation, we do.

Stan, did you take upon you the sin of the world?

Stan, is it by your grace we are saved?

I believe in Christ only comes salvation and there is no other name given by which man is saved.

We come unto the Father only through Jesus Christ.

Are you sure when we've done all we can do we save ourselves?

Christ said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.

James 2:18-20 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.

Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?

Revelation 2:23 And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.

Revelation 2:26 And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:

Revelation 14:13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.

Revelation 20:12 and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

John Greetings, When I was in public school in the 1st grade we had bible reading and prayer in Jesus name. Almost no crime and people respected each other. the USA was like leave it to beaver and the andy griffin show of mayberry.

Look into the Noahide laws as they are on the books and they are just not being enforced yet. These laws were first signed by Reagan as president. They call it "education day" godless education without Christ more like it.

This was to honor Rabbi Schneerson who practiced kabbalah. look up chabad Lubavitch Kabbalah and get an education of what they really believe. The penalty for violating the Noahide laws is beheading.

Revelation 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark...

Churches use the Latin word Rapture, (that word is not in the Bible) when they are talking about the resurrection.

John 11:25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:

1 Corinthians 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

Revelation 20:5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

Revelation 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

Reading Ezekiel 28:12-19, Matthew 25:41, Hebrews 2:14 and Revelation 20:10, it is apparent that the end of Satan is destruction in the lake of fire. There is no savior for fallen angels. Thank the LORD that he so loved us and provided his Son Jesus Christ to pay the penalty for our sin.
  • Chris - In Reply on 2 Esdras 15:49 - 4 years ago
Revelation 20:10 tells us that the Devil, with the beast (anti-christ) & the false prophet will be cast into the Lake of Fire (not hell), and be tormented day & night forever & ever. I understand that Satan & his cohorts will finally be banished into this fiery lake & therefore sin & suffering will no longer be the unholy blots on humanity. In hell now, Satan has a field day bringing the majority of mankind into its burning bowels; but at the time of Jesus' reign on Earth, he too will be suffering eternally with all those who have not bent the knee to Almighty God & made Christ's sacrifice something to be despised.

Read Matthew 24 and look at all the earthquakes lately. Look into the Noahide laws that is on the books in America. They are not currently being enforced yet. Ask where the noahide laws are in the Bible. The laws given to Noah. They exist only in the minds of rabbis. look into the punishment for breaking the noahide laws and then read revelation 20:4
then ask that question again. People have been saying it is the end times for hundreds of years. however every day is a day closer.

Keep in mind please may it be on earth as it is in Heaven.

Both the quick and the dead shall be judged.

There are two baptisms one with water and the other by receiving the most blessed of all gift the gift of the Holy Spirit and we die daily in our old ways and by the daily renewing of of our minds learn to become one body in Christ.

28-29 Marvel not at this, for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear HIS voice, and shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation... notice in these 2 verses JESUS mind is on that day /hour when the POWER OF GOD shall order death to release all in the grave, also notice Revelation 20:11- 15.

So did Jesus die for Esau?
Malachi 1:2-3, "I have loved you, saith the LORD. Yet ye say, Wherein hast thou loved us? Was not Esau Jacob's brother? saith the LORD: yet I loved Jacob, And I hated Esau, and laid his mountains and his heritage waste for the dragons of the wilderness.." John 15:16, "Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you..."
who made the choice? the apostles or Jesus?

Luke 8:10, "And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand." ( Matthew 11:25)
Not every one was given to understanding the things of God

I believe 'a season' is meant to be 'for a time' - not necessarily a specific amount of time. Remember that spiritual time is not the same as man's time.
  • James - In Reply on Revelation 20 - 4 years ago
    Just to be sure . . .
This does NOT refer to the Calvinist (anti-Biblical) doctrine of election in connection with the equally false and demonic doctrine of limited atonement (the humanistic assumption that Christ was/is inadequate).
Also, the second death to which you refer is the eternal descent into the devil's appointed torment and its total separation from God.
Those dead in Christ who are not in the first Resurrection will rise to stand judgment after the Milennium, and those who are dead outside of Christ are contained in what is called "Death and Hell" . . . These are cast into the lake of fire forever.

28 above JESUS mind is on SALVATION for me and you, because JESUS clearly let us know there is forgiveness of All sin,see John 3:16-21 and other verses also,. Also in the same breath JESUS warn us of the sin of blaspheme which is crossing the line of no-return, meaning we boldly straight jacket oneself so deeply into sins until.... see the Revelation chapter 17 and 18, also see Revelation 20:21.

Ecclesiastes 3:1 The song by the Byrds, Turn Turn Turn is based on this- there's a season for everything. I think the length of the season varies in each person's life, but this idea is not based on scripture.
  • Bob Hilt - In Reply on Revelation 20 - 4 years ago
I am not 100% sure but there are 4 seasons
Spring, Summer, Fall or Autumn and Winter
Sometimes the Bible calls many years a LONG SEASON as in Joshua 24:7 70 years in the wilderness
    Hebrews 11:25 Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;
  • Carol on Revelation 20 - 4 years ago

a thousand years is as 1 day with the Lord, as 1 day is a thousand years. it doesn't say rapture, it says being caught up unto God and his throne.
  • Austin - In Reply on Revelation 20 - 5 years ago
O come on,you know its not, but the catching away of the church in Thess. is commonly called the rapture and has been since before you or I were born.

verse 4. Yea, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations. I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them because when I called, none did answer when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not...... this verse 4, described us when we both knowing and unknowingly willfully was riding high in sin, but thank GOD for HIS MERCY. HIS MERCY keep death from us until those who would chose to obeyed John 3:16-21 did so. Nevertheless TIME will end any-day for mankind Revelation 1:3, and GOD season of MERCY will end. Then THE BOOKS and THE BOOK will be open Revelation 20:11-15.

All this is after the rapture. You dont wanna miss rapture.Dont miss the rapture.
  • Austin - In Reply on Revelation 20 - 5 years ago
Carol: 1 Peter 5:8 Satan walks about seeking whoever he can...Verse 4 is only about the people who get saved during the 7 year tribulation. The 1000 year reign will start immediately after the 7 year tribulation and the martyrs from the tribulation will reign with Christ during that 1000 years. The second resurecction is verse twelve where all the unsaved dead will be brought to judgement and face second being cast into the lake of fire
  • Carol on Revelation 20 - 5 years ago
Question, Satan IS deceiving people now, so he is not yet bound. So is a thousand years of peace coming before the devil returns to deceive all Nations? Also the first resurrection 20:5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. This is totally confusing please clarify. When will the 2nd resurrection be, and when will the dead that remain dead come and what will happen to them others?
  • Lyle SHORT - In Reply on Revelation 20 - 5 years ago
Romans thru Philemon. The church the body of Christ is nowhere in this chapter. Revelation is like Matthew, Mark, Luke, John and the first 8 chapters of Acts. The earthly Jesus himself said that he was not sent, but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel. So until Christ revealed the body of Christ to and thru Paul nobody except God knew about it. Then the rest of scripture is also to Israel.
  • Riikka - In Reply - 5 years ago
You asked about the rapture. I don't know. In the bible it says that when Jesus comes, there's no time to do anything. After he has come, the non-believers are sent to eternal punishment and the believers to eternal life. See: Matthew 24:36, Matthew 25:46 and Revelation 20:15.
