  • Matt on Revelation 20 - 8 years ago
Those who do not overcome during the first resurrection will have to be taught by God's election during the Millennium (1,000 years). If they fail to follow God afterwards, they will follow Satan and the other ungodly souls into hell. Our Lord is VERY patient, and He does NOT wish to send anyone to hell but Satan. That is why He gives every soul a fair chance to accept Him. 2nd Peter chapter 3
  • Matt on Revelation 20 - 8 years ago
The rest of the 'dead' are the spiritually dead: those deceived by Satan. The antichrist is the devil: Satan. Those who believe they are going to be raptured are the ones who are spiritually dead. The Lord made it clear His disciples would be going through the tribulation in Matthew ch. 24. Satan's children are setting things up for his arrival. You have to know who the Kenites are. John 8 v.44

Remember that Revelations is written in a prophetic, poetic genre. You will not glean truth from it if you read it like a scientist, lawyer or politician; put your artistic hat on for this one. Often where people get off in this passage by failing to view the "thousand years" as simply a symbol of planned completeness. You'll miss the intent if you impose "literalness" to the figures.
  • Sabbath keeper and Wife on Revelation 20 - 8 years ago
This is spiritual. The virgins part means they haven't been defiled by the harlott (Rome) and been deceived into getting the mark. The ONLY way not to get it is to have the Seal of God. It's IN your forehead being grounded in TRUTH. God gives final warning Come out of her my people..Which will we choose? Satan came to deceive the WHOLE world. Popular opinion must be wrong ! Think, read, understand
  • Makafui on Revelation 20 - 8 years ago
The bible did not mention any group of people that will eter heaven. What John apostles was saying is any one that is not found in the book of life will be cast into lake of fire
  • EMMANUEL BWALYA on Revelation 20 - 8 years ago
Yes, the 144,000 which were sealed from the twelve tribes of Israel will be with Him together with them the shall believe on His name ( from the Gentile age - John 1:10 - 13). We became children of God before we were fleshly born here on earth but by predestination. ( Romans 9:23 - 25 says He shall call us His people who were not His - not in 144,000)
  • Chris on Revelation 20 - 8 years ago
No, the 144,000 (12,000 from each of the 12 tribes of Israel) sealed, virgin, Jewish men who will preach the gospel during the first three and a half years of the "Great Tribulation," will either endure, and go into the earthly Kingdom of Jesus Christ, or be slain and resurrected, to also go into the Kingdom. That's an errant teaching of JWs, that they think it's them. It's not.
  • Janel bucsko on Revelation 20 - 8 years ago
So only 144,000 only go to heaven? Where do the rest of us go?
  • Lu2677 on Revelation 20 - 8 years ago
Shirley, do you believe Rev. 20:15, if you do, then 1-14 is very clear, what it says, is what will happen. Amen. Even so, come Lord Jesus come. Amen

  • SParker on Ezekiel 39 - 9 years ago
If this war occurs at the end of the thousand years, it would explain the unwalled villages. Revelation 20:7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,
8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.
  • Norm on Genesis 3 - 9 years ago
Mark 13:14 But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, let him that readeth understand, then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains: 2 Thessalonians 2:4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. Revelation 20:2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,
  • Stephen on Revelation 20 - 9 years ago
Reuben, read Ephesians 2:8-9. We are saved by grace through faith. We are not saved by our works.
  • Reuben on Revelation 20 - 9 years ago
what about people who believe they'll get to by their own merits ?
  • Al on Revelation 20 - 9 years ago
I guess that means Jesus is the way the truth and the life, no man comes to the Father but through Him. And without Him we can do nothing. I've seen children who were lost or separated from their parents at the store, mall, dept. store, etc. When the children are and reunited with their loved ones they are always crying. Being lost and alone is perhaps the scariest state of mind there is for a little child completely severed from the only love he she knows. I couldn't imagine being eternally separated from my Creator. we weren't designed for that.
  • Will on Revelation 20 - 9 years ago
Death in the Great Book always refers to separation not inialation.. Eternal beings are eternal which be its very definition cannot be uneternal through inialation. The spirit separated from the Spirit in Gen 3.. The spirit separated from the body all the way through the Scriptures until ressurected together for judgement.. Rev 20 speaks of the final or second separation which is eternal separation from the presence of our Great Creator
  • Shurlan on Revelation 20 - 9 years ago
Revelations chapter 20 speaks about the first and second death, this shows there is a death off the body and also death to the sole. In the end when everyone is judged by God, there will be the fortunate ones and the unfortunate ones in other words the good people and the bad . The last verse speaks about hell and death being cast into the lake of fire were it will no longer exist . So the answer is yes you need to live a righteous life to gain everlasting life and the glories of God, and if you failed to do so and not accept the salvation of God through Jesus Christ your soul will be eradicated in the second death . Evil will pay the price for being what it is because it does not belong in the presence of good, it's just a matter of time when it will all be set into place .

All the people born in the thousand year mill. Will have to be tried, to see if they want to serve The Lord or serve the devil. Most of them are going to serve the devil, just like it is today.
  • KAREN on Revelation 20 - 9 years ago
we all sin and fall short of the glory of God, the Bible does say all who believe in Jesus and he is the son of God will be saved? Now you have to live a certain way to be saved?
  • Phil on Revelation 20 - 9 years ago
Evangelist Robinson 2Thess 2:1-3say that man of sin be revealed before the Lord Jesus Christ come and gather His saints
  • Rev. Tim George on Revelation 20:4 - 9 years ago
The souls of those who are beheaded for their testimony of Jesus, are before the altar in heaven. Jesus will resurrect them when he comes to set up His kingdom, and they will rule with him one thousand years in the kingdom of God. Then the Devil will be loosed from the bottomless pit, to deceive the nations once again, for a season. Jesus will cause fire to come down from heaven to destroy them all.The kingdom shall be without end, and the Devil will be cast into the Lake of Fire, with the Antichrist, and False prophet. So repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. Do not add or subtract from the Holy Scriptures or your name will be blotted out of the Book of Life.
  • JC Rules on Revelation 20:14 - 9 years ago
The Bible in Revelation says that there will be no more death, that all things old have passed away,so if death is cast into the lake of fire, and hell is cast into the lake of fire, and the wicked are cast into the lake of fire, then it must mean all of them are no more, and don 't exist in eternity...
  • Despo on Revelation 20:13 - 9 years ago
A translational error: Hades isn't the same as hell. Hades is the same as the grave. A waiting place for judgement day.
  • Mikey little on Revelation 20 - 9 years ago

  • Graham on Revelation 9:11 - 9 years ago
I believe this refers to the false prophet Muhammad.. Revelation 20:10 tells us who the king of the pit is! as he is already there!
  • John on Revelation 20:5 - 9 years ago
