Chapter 21:21 And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.
  • Florian M on Revelation 21 - 9 years ago
The chapter presents the status after "the end": 1. A new haven and a new earth v.1
    2. The Bride "the New Jerusalem", coming down from heaven where She was raptured.
The Bride is One who has the teachings of apostles and profets, represented by 12 apostles and 12 tribes of Israel.

I think if a lot of people would read chapter 21 of revelations and take it at what it says ! then if the people would read in Gods own word that no one will go up into heaven but that heaven will come down ! then people would know where their life is going.

Matthew 11:15 He that hath ears to hear, let him hear. Revelation 21:10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, Exodus Chapter 24:10 And they saw the God of Israel: and there was under his feet as it were a paved work of a sapphire stone, and as it were the body of heaven in his clearness. 1 John 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him for we shall see him as he is. This chapter in Revelation touches an important aspect of our Christian journey: Enduring to the end Longsuffering and ultimately Victory. For verse 7 states clearly: He that overcometh shall inherit all things and I will be his God, and he shall be My son.

Dear Jesus, I don 't want to go to this terrible place called hell. Dear Jesus, I confess that I am a sinner in need of the blood of Jesus Christ to save me from eternal hell fire. Dear Jesus, please forgive me for all my sins. Dear Jesus, please come into my heart and save me. Dear Jesus, please wash away all my sins with your precious blood that you shed on the cross for me and for the whole world. Thank you Jesus for saving me. Amen. I don 't tell you this to be rude, but to try and tell you about the great love that God has for you through the Lord Jesus Christ and HOW to get saved. If you are not saved, then I would venture to say that I am probably the first person to ever tell you how to be saved. For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son The Lord Jesus Christ , that whosoever believeth in Him, should not perish In Hell fire , but have everlasting life In Heaven with Jesus . If you refuse to do this then by your own decision you CHOOSE eternal hellfire. That is what God says in the Bible. I 'm sure that you know that no Church can save you, no Pope can save you, no priest can save you. I hope and pray that you are already a born again Christian.

And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.------------ The last kingdom that God set up occurred around 2000 years ago. The king of that kingdom is Jesus Christ. His kingdom HAS BEEN RUINED. So what is the final kingdom that God is setting up? Read Revelation 21:27. No weeds allowed in the final kingdom! Let him that has ears listen!

REV 21-5-22...I go along with that NOEL fellow, everything he said made total sense, if only more people on this online commentary shared more useful information like that, we could get some positive changes with mankind, instead of the same old, same old. How can these scriptures have been overlooked by the churches and pastors and evangelists through out our life time, these are our Messiah Jesus 's own words, and critical to our existence, and pleasing God, I hate to say this but I almost feel like no one cares about what God wants, or that mankind thinks he can do what ever in his way of worshipping God, and God will just accept it. Myself, I really don 't think it works like that! I think God has set a basically simple standard for which to be saved, in I Timothy 2:3-4...3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour 4. Who will have all men to be saved,... and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. You can see that a person doesn 't come to the knowledge of the truth first! It is secondly and in due time, depending on you, and what the Holy Spirit knows what you will accept in your belief and faith process. I hope this is clear to all. PRAISE GOD 'S HOLY SPIRIT. AMEN!!
  • NOEL-REV on Revelation 21 - 9 years ago
We are not under the Mosaic Law since man took the Messiah 's life, which had to be, but as the Messiah put it, in his own words: MATT 22:36-40-36. Master, which is the great commandment in the law? 37. Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38. This is the first and great commandment. 39. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 40. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. So you see we are still bound to the Laws of God, the same Laws given to Moses at Sinai, the difference is, we keep the Law out of the Love we have in Christ. That is if you understand verse 40. I personally believe we are in the very last days, where false teachers with false doctrines are every where. This is why we need to stick to the scriptures, myself I keep to the original KJV, all the rest are corrupted versions. Maybe ok for reference, but always double check using the KJV. REV 21-5-12-15,

Do any of you realize that Revelation 21 is at least 1000 years from now? Take a look at Chapter 20. Satan still needs to be chained cast into the abyss for a 1000 years.

In this life there is , death , sorrow , crying , pain : I believe that the tears God will wipe away is tears of sorrow that we I have not a reward in that I thought I would have. Tears of when I disobeyed God and do not get a reward : Lose : But no lose of reaching heaven . There are degrees of reward in heaven as well there are degrees of reward in Hell. We will get what we worked for . Payday is coming !!!

REV 21-4-17...Dewey, In Rev 21:1-2...1. And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away and there was no more sea...2. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband....Joshi P. The New Heaven and New Jerusalem are totally different from each other. The New Heaven includes a recreated Earth and Atmosphere cleansed and purified of all traces of man, and the New Jerusalem is the Holy City of God...The Habitation of God and also this is where our Lord and Savior tells us where the mansions that He goes to prepare for us. John 14: 2. In my Father 's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.... I Cor 2:9...9. But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him...AMEN!!

Joshi Prasad, I would say from what the previous Scriptures say that the New Heaven and the New Jerusalem are one and the same. All this occurs after the final battle in all history after Satan is loosed out of his prison Rev. 20:7 the battle of Gog and Magog. God said in earlier verses Behold I make all things new or everything new. This is the New Heaven and New Earth where all the redeemed creation of God and Jesus Christ will spend eternity. If there is anyone on the site that shed more light on this subject I welcome it. God bless you and all our searching of this book of Revelation. Amen!
