That is to say,Jesus Christ is our Eternal Lord and God and Saviour. His essence,Power and Authority remain the same even before the beginning of all things, both those in Heaven and on earth and beneath the earth or the sea.Though all things shall pass but He is Everlasting God. He is known as the Mighty God and Everlasting Father( Isaiah 9:6),meaning He ever existed and created all things in His power ( John 1:1-3, Colossians 1:16). He is the Sustainer of all things ( Colossians 1:17),without Him nothing will exist ,including dark spirits. He is the Saviour of the world(Redeemer). He is the only Loving God who laid His life down to save all men from the death penalty of their sins when everybody had gone astray( Isaiah 53:4-6)-Behold,the Lamb of God Who takes away the sin of the world! ( John 1:29). He is the Supreme Judge for all humans( Matthew 25:31-46),and the Sovereign Lord Who is to come and reward the good deeds of men,and punish men for their wickedness( Revelation 22:12-13).

How can people read this verse and still believe a person goes to heaven or even hell when they die? And 1Thes. 4:16 goes supports this.
  • JULIUS on Revelation 22:7 - 11 years ago

those who keep these words of truth will surely live and not die. will have tgeir names written in the lambs book of life. those who tell lies for their own selfish gain and gteed ate as dogs and whoremongers. those who know the truth but lie against it will be outside the kingdim. those who deliberately harm gods children will be punished. unless they repent and turn from evil. the words of revelation bring life and peace to those who believe.

is true i cant express how true this is in words but only actions and AGAPE as Gods will, this is a warning and to be honest something is going to happen soon i don't know how soon but so whatever it is and when it comes as said from Jesus christ our lord and savior "the churches will be flooded with people asking for forgiveness and repenting and hopefully they mean it out of there hearts and not out of fear because if it is out of fear than it is not genuine in Jesus name Amen God bless us all and may we all be protected now and for ever and until the time it is to rise as one. As jesus told me him self "the earth is our foundation God is our formation and together we will rise"

What I think of Revelation is of no importance to anyone but me. Only men with large egos can pontificate as to what Scripture means. In doing that they obscure the simplicity of the Laws that God gave to Moses. I only concern myself with keeping my faith in God through my faith in Jesus and His promise. All other things are secondary to that purpose.
  • Timothy Wayne George on Revelation 22:16 - 11 years ago
Jesus is the bright morning star, as Numbers 24:17 led the wise men to Jesus, He is the Light of the world, the way, and the truth. No man comes to the Father except through Jesus. Lucifer was the cherub that led the stones of fire in heaven, until iniquity was found in him. There will be no need for the sun, for Jesus will light the Kingdom of Heaven. As the Root, and offspring of David he shall rule on his father's kingdom forever.
  • BITRUS SAMUEL MAGAJI on Deuteronomy 22:5 - 11 years ago
All scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching the truth, rebuking error, correcting faults, and giving instruction for right living, so that the person who serves God may be fully qualified and equipped to do every kind of good deed ( 2 Timothy 3:16 ).
This means that all the books, chapters and verses, in the holy bible from Genesis 1:1 to Revelation 22:21, is inspired by God. God is unchangeable and when he say yes nobody can say no or semi-yes and vice versa. So please don't be deceived by anybody (Mathew 24:4 ).

about verse 11, just as it was in times of noah people were drinking and marrying without knowing the rain was about to destroy them. the same will be to us when our High Priest comes out of the holy of hollies people will not hear the voice of our mediator saying let the unjust be unjust still....,the time the probation period wil close no one knows be on the watch brethren and sisters
  • Richard on Revelation 22:14 - 11 years ago
Some think that the Ten Commandments were nailed to the Cross with Jesus. I disagree, and this is only one of many scriptures that prove it. Jesus nailed the sacrifical laws to the cross and not the Ten Commandments.

The Lord never lies, the Lord speak the truth. The Lord wrote his word, and speak his word and keep us to be with him, in his kingdom. God, gave us, choice to choose to believe in the Lord. Is your choice to choose, if you believe in him, or not. God loves all of us, he give us choice to choose, to walked in the light, or darkness. God, want everyone of us, to be with him. God don't want the people fallen in the dark place, we have choice to choose to love the Lord all your heart, and have faith, and trust the Lord all the way, until the finish line.

Concerning the Isaac's resolution. I do not believe this is true. There is a lot more than just thee, thou, thus, etc that has been left out of the NKJV Bible don't believe me look at the NKGV verses the KGV I have a small list of what was left out one being the name of Jesus 22 times plus plenty of others. These Bibles are re-written for man to understand. The changed words in the NKJV are a lot more they want you to believe it is only the thus thou etc but how can man leave so much out of the original bible it is called false doctrine because it leaves out words that the original bible does not. That is the reason I left the Southern Baptist and went back to Independent Baptist. Please do not let them fool you it is a whole lot more. Look on line at the diff of Bibles vs the KJV and see for yourself.
  • Paul on 1 Corinthians 9 - 11 years ago
1 Cor 9:5 clearly shows the apostles were married to spiritual minded women whom they called sisters and later married as their wives. Revelation 22:18,19 makes clear we should not add any of our mandates to the Bible or remove any mandates or thoughts from the Bible. Why have the churches prohibited the priest and nuns from marrying when this clearly was never a mandate from Jesus or the Apostles?

in my own opinion both the book of life and the Lamb's book of life are the same thing. We need to work out our salvation with fear and trembling so that our name can be written in the book of life. This last chapter help us to know that the time is at hand when everything written in the book of revelation will come to pass.Where is your destination when trumpet sounds? you must give your life to Jesus and live a holy life so that you can make it to heaven. Without Jesus no heaven for you. please invite Jesus into your life right now because Jesus is the only way to heaven.

Is a warning to all. No excuse.

As I read the comments on this p***age, I am reminded of the scripture in ( Revelation 22:18-19)
Which is a warning for those who distort the Word! The Bible also records in ( I Timothy 4:1) that this is another sign of the last days as well as ( 2Timothy 4:3-4) (2 Timothy3:16)" God Breathed" Read also ( 2 Peter1:19-21)(2 Peter2:1). Pray the prayer according to ( Ephesians 1:17-19), allow God through the Holy spirit to teach you, and give you the revelation, wisdom, knowledge, and understanding of His word.

I love the World English Bible version because it mention "the ***ually immoral" in the verse because I believe it is unholy. It's a wonderful and effective verse identifying unholy things/elements.

This is my understanding on whether we shall be in heaven or earth.

There will be two types of resurrection.
The dead in Christ shall resurect first and go with christ to heaven..."in my fathers house are many houses... I go and prepare a place for you..." in his second comind God's people will be in heaven and the wicked dead so satan will be "locked" in bottomless pit.

The second resurrection will come after a thousand years in heaven( Rev 20:5) They shall descend in the holy city...the new Jerusalem.

  • Isaac on Revelation 22:19 - 11 years ago
Charles, The verse does NOT say "those who change the bible..." it says, "those who TAKE AWAY from the words of this book of prophecy..."

The different translations are for those who are not as educated in reading the English language. It allows for them to understand the bible and comprehend what God wants them to know. The different translations are broken down by readying level. If you think about it the only difference in King James and New King James is the "thee, thou, thus, etc." There is really nothing changed in the bible, and yet it says the same thing. The same message that Christ came and saved us all from our sins is still written in there. Now when you take that part our you have "Taken Away" not changed.

I don't think God intended for us to quarl over the different translations, but yet gave the writes/printers the ability to reach a new generation with their understanding of the Word of God.

We as Christians should not be here complaining about the differences in the translations, but doing as the Bible says in Matthew 27: 19-20 "The Great Commission.

Thanks for listening and God bless!

Revelation 22 is Awesome on the divine truth! The crystal clear water flowing down from the throne of glory and the tree of life with leaves for healing for all nations(all people)! You have to believe Jesus and ask for all kinds of healing and it will happen in your life (verse 1-2).
In verse 8-9, talks of to worship nothing else: money or wealth, people or persons, but the LORD your God (Holy Trinity:God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit). He is worthy of our praises and worship. An angel could be one of us (fellowservant or brethern in the church) sent to teach the gospel. The Lord, Jesus Christ is the Bright and Morning Star. To God be the glory, for great things He has done!
