Corona Virus must bow it's knee to the Name of Jesus. Build your faith on Gods Word. Know your authority. That is your sword: Ephesians 6

Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is NONE OTHER NAME under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Philippians 2:9-11 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:

John 14:13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in MY NAME, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Luke 10:17 And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy NAME.

Hebrews 12:25 and 1 Corinthians 10:13 are the strongest scriptures for not committing suicide.

If one is going to throw their lives away, why not give that life to Jesus? Give your life to Him, and take Jesus's Life so you can live. Call on Jesus and receive help.

    1 Corinthians 10:13

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a WAY TO ESCAPE, that ye may be able to bear it.

1 Corinthians 3:16-17 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

Ecclesiastes 7:17 Be not over much wicked, neither be thou foolish: why shouldest thou die before thy time?

Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

James 4:7-10 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Romans 14:7 For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

1 John 1:9 - If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

John 16:33 - These things I have spoken unto you, that IN ME you might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

    Proverbs 8:36

But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death.

If they will trust Jesus and be born again

John 3, and receive the Holy Spirits baptism; God will turn your spirit ON and you will experience a new, different kind of life. People who are alive spiritually can suddenly HEAR the voice of their Heavenly Father, speaking to them through their innermost being. The Holy Spirit comes alongside to Comfort and protect the new Life. Do it.

I strongly disagree with the comment Shaarei made on the subject of salvation looking at Acts 1;.

    1. When the statement "Born of water" is made, it is in no way talking about salvation.

Being born of water is the evidence that humans come from "Flesh" and are born of the "Flesh".

Even Jesus was born of water because He was "Born of Flesh" while being in Mary's womb.

Nither was or is the "Holy Spirit Flesh" The Holy Spirit was sent by God to convict the Flesh (humans)

    of their sins.

The only way a person can be "saved", or, be "Born again" is by the Holy Spirit of God, nothing more, nor, nothing less.

You can be baptized until the Bull frogs kroke but until you put your complete Faith and Trust in Jesus and Jesus only,

you cannot enter the kingdom of God's Heaven. (Read Romans 10:9-13) Nowhere is the spirit of the flesh nor of baptism mentioned in the plan of "Salvation"! Jesus and only Jesus, NO other WAY. I strongly suggest that she, Shaarei

go through the plan of salvation in a King James Bible and seek the truth in prayer. God Bless

The ladder in verse 12 is a depiction of Jesus as related to Nathanael by Jesus in John 1:51. He is the one and only mediator between God and man ( 1 Timothy 2:5). We can come boldly to the throne of grace by Jesus Christ ( Hebrews 4:14-16).

In John 3:13 Jesus tells Nicodemus "And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven."

    Romans 10:6-9 states:

"But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)

Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)

    But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."

Paul told of a certain experience in 2 Corinthians 12 then humbly chose to glory in his infirmities rather than exalt himself, being made strong in weakness.

    Ephesians 2:4-7 says:

"But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,

Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)

And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus."

From these I gather that by faith in Jesus Christ we are as good as being seated in heaven in Christ, but as Paul tells us in 2 Corinthians 5:6-7, "Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:

(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)".

C: Confess. Romans 10:9: "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." You need to tell others about what God has done for you & in you. This is important in your bold stand for the Lord your Saviour that will help you to also talk to others about the Gospel.

You will need to find a good Bible believing Church near you & speak to the Elder or Pastor about your salvation, that in time you may be baptized in water (full immersion) & not a sprinkling that you received as a baby. My suggestion of a Baptist Church, Brethren Assembly, Church of Christ or Assemblies of God, generally will welcome you & provide a sound fundamental teaching from the Bible. Maybe there will be someone there (the Pastor will know) who also has been an RC in the past & now saved through Christ. That believer will certainly be able to guide you through some of your concerns. Also, you can always write here to get a brief explanation on those.

You asked about an easy version of the Bible to read: I like the King James version, but if the older English is not easy for you, then maybe the New King James or New American Standard versions will be easier. I know I've written a lot here, but just wanted to encourage you to truly seek the Lord with all your heart - He is at your heart's door knocking waiting to come in & fellowship with you as His very own. ( Rev 3:20). You're in my prayers to this end.

Romans 10: 9-10 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and thy shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Marie, Romans 9:10? Or, did you mean Romans 10:9?

Do you also have a supporting Scripture that the Gift of Tongues is a 'Heavenly language known only to God'? The Acts 2:4 account of Pentecost Day seems to indicate that the Tongues spoken was not Heavenly but Earthly & Paul's teaching on this in 1 Cor 14 was specifically to show that Tongues was an unknown (unlearned) language to the speaker but may be known to another present or to be used when one gifted with its Interpretation was present. Without an interpretation, the (unlearned) Tongue was not to be used however it could be used in prayer to God only, where "my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful" (v 14). This seems to me that apart from its use in prayer, the Tongue should only be used when someone who understands/interprets it is present.

I would be interested to learn what Scripture you know that can support what you've said.

    Jon,

I am going to assume that by you saying you really want to be saved that you are not saved now? I don't know if that is a correct assumption or not, but if you have not yet called upon the Lord Jesus Christ for His mercy, and ask for Him to come into your heart and save you, you need to do so if you truly are seeking salvation. Anyone can say the words "Jesus is Lord" with their mouth, but calling out to Christ to save you needs to come from the heart.

There is no magic formula that I can share with you on how to be saved other than telling you to call out to Christ. You need to receive Him. He has promised to save anyone who comes to Him asking for forgiveness and mercy ( Romans 10:13). As for the drug issue, there are professional agencies probably where you live that can help you with this issue, but you need to seek the help. However, the main concern is for your spiritual welfare. That must come first. Please call out to Jesus Christ to come into your life. Cast all your cares on Him. Everything else will work itself out in His timing. We serve a very powerful Savior who is able to take on all of our troubles, no matter how big or small.

There is only one place in the bible that specifically gives us the purpose for tongues, and that is 1 Corinthians 14:22. Acts Chapter 2 is a perfect example of the proper use of "tongues." Unfortunately, the church today does not conform to the biblical use of speaking in tongues. Many today are in total violation of 1 Cor. 14:22. The tongues that are being taught today are not the tongues of the bible. The verses you have shared make no mention at all about tongues being the evidence that a believer has received the Holy Ghost or Holy Spirit.

When a person receives Christ, they receive His Spirit. If we are trusting God's promise to give us His Spirit when we call out to Him to save us, why would we need evidence? Wouldn't seeking for evidence be the same as not trusting God to fulfill His promise to give us His Spirit? If we require evidence of our salvation, then how can we say we have faith? God's promise in Romans 10:13 is that all who call upon Him shall be saved. That is His promise. He gives us His Spirit. Without His Spirit, there is no salvation, and we are given that in Romans 8:9. You mentioned Acts 2:38 which is a great verse to show that those who repent are promised God's Spirit. That is all we are promised to receive. Many people today are being deceived by the teachings on "tongues" which is causing them to doubt their salvation because they are being told that tongues is the evidence of their salvation. There are three point-blank facts about speaking in tongues that the bible gives us.

Number one: It is a known language. Not necessarily known to the person speaking, but it is a human language.

Number two: It is a sign.

Number three: It is to unbelievers, not believers.

Remember that study I did called, THEY'RE OUT, and WE'RE IN now. Romans 3:29

We're in till the fullness of the Gentiles is accomplished? Romans 11:25-26

For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this MYSTERY, Lest you should be wise in your own conceits; that BLINDNESS in part, is HAPPENED to Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in (finished).

And so, all Israel Shall be Saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob (The Jews).

That's why I say that Gentiles are IN now.

The whole thing is DETAILED in Romans 11:7-11. Please read it!! Romans 10:2 and Romans 11:12, 15, 18-22 READ IT SLOW

There are some warnings in there if you are a Gentile. No boasting, no judging, no smirking. Just leave it alone!!!! Keep your salvation secure. No hateful commenting.

They are blinded. Their ears are closed up by God. Their eyes have scales on them. Why?? For us Christians!! " The Election"

Romans 10:19. Deuteronomy 32:21. Our love for Jesus is supposed to make them envious. What a happy, cheerful, non- judgmental Jesus Loving Bunch we are?!?!

Yes they are into all manner of idolatry and occultism mixed with Jewish ritualism. It has to have a lot of emptiness in it, if God is not speaking to you.

IT could happen to us if we can't learn (from scriptures above) to keep our yaps closed. We are WARNED.

If one person yaps, another person does; soon the whole neighborhood is barking and no one is listening to God!!

I think God would love it if we would get over our self-righteous, judgmentalness. They probably don't even know they are OUT.

I will not speak on this again. I'm dropping this ball... you pick it up.

The way to comprehend and believe all this is to believe that God can do anything because He is the Almighty God, the Creator who created all things, and the only one who has the power to do anything. Don't try to answer these questions or figure this out from a carnal or human standpoint because everything about God is spiritual. That is why Jesus said in John 4:24, "God is a Spirit, and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth." God can be fully man, as Jesus, and fully God, as the Superior Being and Almighty One because He is God. Please read what Paul says in 1 Corinthians 2:9 -14, that is if you believe the Bible. Jesus came to this world to bring us back to God and to introduce us to the ways of God. He also came to put us back in right standing with God, and it is our faith in Him (Jesus Christ) and what He has done for us that God will receive. I am so glad that I have given my life to Jesus Christ, and I know that the Father hath received me and given me eternal live because of my faith in His Son. I pray that you have or will do the same. The Father and Jesus are one, and while Jesus was here on earth, He pointed us to the Father because His mission was to do the will of the Father and to help everyone to understand that the Father is the author of it all, and that He has given us His name which is Jesus and it the name that is above every name in this world and also the world to come. So stop trying to figure it out with your natural mind and place your trust in Jesus Christ ( Romans 10: 9-13), and God by the power of His Holy Spirit will give you wisdom, knowledge, and understanding in how to trust Him and His plan for your life as well as all those who would dare to trust and receive Him. I believe that the God is the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and He has proven His Himself to us in all three categories because He has the power to do it all. I pray that you will put your faith in Him. I hope to see you in heaven!

Greetings Victor, The Law when mentioned in the new testament generally refers to the first five books of the Bible attributed to Moses. Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy. This is where the ten commandments are found.

The prophets were the (major in size) writings of those like Jeremiah, Isaiah, etc.

The Minor (in size) prophets were those like Amos, Jonah, Micah, etc.

Someone asked Jesus what was the most important or great commandment.

Matthew 22:36 - Master, which is the great commandment in the law?

Mat 22:37 - Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

Mat 22:38 - This is the first and great commandment.

Mat 22:39 - And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Mat 22:40 - On these two commandments hang ALL the law and the prophets.

In other words if you keep the two commandments you keep them all.

Well that and believing that Jesus is Christ

Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

    Rich,

I think there are many believers who at one point or another have had that same feeling of doubt about their salvation. I know I have. Is it possible that you are trying to deal with your circumstances on your own, and not trusting in the Lord? Once a person receives Christ, they need to be mended. We come to the Lord broken, and we call out to Him to save us, and to mend us. Our past will never leave us. It will always be stuck in the cortex of our brain. But we have to trust Christ. Being mended is a lifetime process my friend. But Christ will mend you. You just have to trust Him. There are some things you said that stand out. You say you don't feel you have that closeness with the Lord that you used to have, your prayers feel like they are not getting through, and don't feel saved. You used the word "feel" three times. Those are fleshly terms, not spiritual. Feelings are human senses and emotions. How do you feel Spirit? You can't feel Spirit. Whether or not you "feel" saved, you're still saved. You don't have to feel anything to know you are saved. If you truly from your heart called out to the Lord to come into your life, and to save you, His promise in Romans 10:13 is that He promised to save you. As far as your prayers getting through, if you ask anything according to His will (Not yours), that prayer will always be answered. Listen to this, cut it out and put it on your refrigerator if you need to: Prayer is the means by which you express your submission to God's will in whatever you are asking Him for, and knowing that He will always answer that prayer.

Whether or not you feel saved, you are. Christ is in you (If you received Him). He will never leave you. You are eternally secure in Him. All you have to do is trust Him. You're relationship with Jesus Christ will never change. You might break fellowship with Him, but you can call out to Him to restore that any time. But your relationship as a child of God will never change! Salvation is eternal!

The Bible teaches both GOD,S sovereignty in electing sinners to salvation ( John 6:44, Romans 8:29 and Ephesians 1:4.and we are commanded to evangelize and spread the gospel( Matthew 28:16-20)Why evangelize if we are predestined?Because we were commanded to do so.I believe the gospel is Preached mostly to the believer anyway .Because the unbeliever does not want hear what you are saying any way.It is totally the work of GOD. There is away I believe,to embrace predestination, and election without having our hands bound by it,when it comes to evangelism. For scripture teaches both sovereign election and necessity of evangelizing.Paul addressed this issue in ( Romans 10:13-15).R.C.Sproul commented on that passage;GOD not only foreordains the end of salvation for the elect,He also foreordains the means to that end.We are called to share the gospel and to respond in faith and obedience. So you see evangelism is still necessary in light of GOD,S sovereignty in salvation for two reasons:(1)GOD has commanded us to do it.(2)This is GOD,s chosen means of advancing His kingdom on earth. We have that privilege of being used by GOD to accomplish HIS will. What a blessing to by to bless others with the words of the BREAD OF LIFE. The apostle Paul was sent by the LORD to preach the gospel to JEW and Gentile. That by hearing they might believe, and so call on the name of the LORD and be saved. But there can be no true calling upon GOD without faith no faith without hearing no hearing without preaching and no preaching without a divine calling.Every man calls upon the god he believed in.And those that do not believe in GOD and Christ do not call on them. How shall they believe in him whom they have not heard;meaning that there is no faith in Christ without hearing of Him.There may be believing without seeing, but not believing without hearing.

    Vincent,

You are correct. A person does not have to learn Greek and Hebrew to understand the English bible, and I would never tell anyone that. I believe it is a great tool for studying. It has helped me a lot. But that is just for me personally. I would never tell you or anyone else that they need to learn Greek. I think it would be great if we all knew it, but again, that's an individual's choice. If Greek offends you, I would for sure stay away from it.

I was simply trying to give an accurate representation of where faith comes from. If there is anything in my answer to the original question that you see in error, please let me know. If I may ask, you say that the King James Bible is "the literal translation." How do you know that? Like most English Bibles, it is a translation from Greek. So how do you know it is "the literal translation" without just taking someone's word for it?

I have absolutely nothing negative to say about the King James Bible. It is the only English bible I fully trust, and it is the only one I use in my study. I believe it to be the most accurate translation. But it is a translation. And as far as Greek goes, I don't have the time to sit down with the Textus Receptus and the King James Bible and do a side by side, word for word check to see if it is a "literal translation." So just like you, I'm stuck with just taking someone's word for it that the translators made no errors.

With all do respect, never is there a need to learn the Greek or Hebrew in order to understand the Bible. The King James Bible IS "the literal translation." Anybody who tries to change the precious words of God is deceived into making themselves the final authority as opposed to the Bible/God the final authority.

    Answer:

How does one come to have faith in Christ? By hearing. What must one hear in order to have faith in Christ? The word of God. When one hears the Gospel of Christ and believes it, they have faith.

We have the Bible, they had writings, prophets, and the apostles went out to preach as well.

V 17 is what youre asking about. The second half of this chapter is filled with rhetorical questions that Paul ends up answering. He is making a case against Israel not having faith and why the gospel has been committed to the Gentiles.

    Hello Trevor,

I greet you in name Our Lord Jesus Christ. Hope you're well.

I am a new Christian, I gave my life to Our Lord nearly 2 years ago and it's been the best thing I have ever done. I've had joy and peace in my life since then.

I was baptised many years ago, but because of my immaturity I went back to sin.

The answer to your question " how to get closer to The Messiah " First of all the bible says " For whoever shall call in the name of the Lord shall be saved" Rom 10:13

Believe, that God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, the Messiah, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Then you have to be baptised.

Acts 2:38 Peter said, Repent, and be baptised in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of our sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

A few more scriptures for you to look at:

    Ephesians 2:8-9

    2 Timothy 2:15

    1 John 1:9

    Romans 6:23

    1 John 5:13

    Mark 16:16

    Romans 10:9-10

Hope these scriptures will help and give you a good start to getting closer to Jesus Christ our Saviour.

God Bless you, and I will pray Trevor that you will get the wisdom & knowledge for God's Words.

The terms "by," used twice in the Greek text for this Verse is actually the preposition "out of," as a source.

We know from scripture that faith is a fruit of God's Spirit. It is not of man. Faith is produced by God's Spirit. We cannot produce biblical faith ourselves. We have human faith, but that is different than the faith that the bible speaks of. Faith is a word that describes the presence and activity of God's Spirit in a believer's life. The word faith itself literally means persuasion.

The literal translation from the Greek text for Romans 10:17 should read "So then faith comes from "out of" hearing, and hearing from the word of God."

Faith comes to us from out of hearing God's word. His Spirit ministers to us and persuades us and gives us the faith to do what God wants us to do out of the hearing of His word.

The Bible is spiritually discerned for everybody; whether Jew, Gentile, Greek, Palestinian, or middle eastern descent. It will be hard to understand until you ask God the Father to help you read it. Start in the gospel of John, chapter 3 verses 1 to 8. That's where Jesus tells you that you must be born again to understand the spiritual. Verse 3

This is how we all started. You can't sit on a fence between Muslim and Christian. I will only say that Eternal Life with the God of the universe comes through Jesus.

JESUS CHRIST LIVES. JJ, it is you who must repent (THINK AGAIN!!!). Romans 10:13 Teaches You "For whosoever shall call upon the Name of the Lord shall be SAVED." Romans 10:13 does NOT teach you: For whosoever shall call upon the Name of the Lord shall commit suicide. In your reply you called on the Mighty Name of the Lord. Evidently you DID NOT understand what We wrote. Understand this: Revelation 1:18 "I Christ am He that was dead; and BEHOLD! I AM ALIVE FOREVERMORE, Amen; AND I HAVE THE KEYS OF HELL AND DEATH!!!"

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Now, a lot of people will tell you that you will have to do this or that to be saved. They want to add other things. These other things that they say, some we need to do but NOT to be saved. We do them because God said to do them. trust and obey.
