1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
All you need is summarized in one verse, 2 Timothy 2:15:
“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
You have to apply of your best to learn the word of God, which is also the will of God, knowing God will never ask you something that you cannot do.
Romans 10:
6 But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)
7 Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)
8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
So you need to attend a church and do what you are taught. There are some churches which teach ungodly ways of living. But your heart will never believe lies, unless you deny reason by yourself.
May God lead you in the light of Christ Jesus our lord and savior.
The word of God is so simple, so clear ; and it says “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God”, Romans 10:17.
The more we learn from the word of God, and as we believe it and also practice (it), the more faith we will have.
God bless you.
1. If you are an Old Testament Jew maybe repentance and forgiveness starts at Jerusalem in the name of Jesus.
2. But for a New Testament born again believer repentance and forgiveness begins from a person’s heart ( Romans 10:10) and we confess our sins to Jehovah God in the name of our saviour Jesus Christ ( I John 1:9).
3. We would like people to actually quote the bible (King James Version 1611) to prove their beliefs!
1. The invisible God was made flesh and dwelt among us and we beheld his glory ( John 1:14);
2. Born again Christians in the church age will spend eternity in the New Jerusalem after the millennial reign of Christ and white throne judgment ( Revelation 21:2, 3, 10);
3. Salvation comes by believing on the lord Jesus Christ as your personal savior ( Romans 10:9-13);
4. There are many cults that believe in God, Jehovah as their saviour, but the bible does not support believing in God, as source of salvation. We as believers must always remember to make this distinction that Jesus that died on the cross of Calvary for our sins. It becomes confusing to the unbelievers and those that are ignorant of the scriptures;
5. It is now in these days of the spirit of the anti-Christ that we must make distinctions and give heed to matters that pertain to the absolute truth of God's holy word.
1. The time of salvation is the moment a person calls upon and receives the lord Jesus Christ as their personal savior ( Romans 10:9-13);
2. Easter is a Babylonian pagan ritual from the pagan Astaroth ( Deuteronomy 1:4);
3. A bible believing Christian should never refer to the resurrection day as Easter;
4. My question is what does the rabbit and egg have to do with the resurrection of Jesus Christ?
a. The kingdom of God comes by believing and receiving ( Romans 10:10) Jesus Christ into your heart (soul) as your personal savior;
b. Anyone who has never humbled themselves ( James 4:6) and invited Jesus Christ into their heart (soul) being born again not by corruptible seed becomes the exception regardless what some people believe.
2. This parable also gives Christian parents that have witness our children being saved at a young age and bringing them up in the nurture and admonition of the lord ( Ephesians 6:4) and have to try to create a godly environment in the home a much needed inspiration;
3. Enrolling our children in a good Christian school and being active in a good bible believing church enhances this godly environment;
4. This is important because we as parents need to recognize our children as an investment not only for our good, but for their good future here on earth and for all eternity;
5. Proverbs 22:6 tells us to bring up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart far from it;
6. This is the advantage that believers who have created an environment as I have described above have over believers and non-believers that have not or do not participate in bringing up a child the way they should go according to God's holy word;
7. This father most obviously did bring up both boys in the nurture and admonition of the lord to get results like this;
8. A life time of being faithful to God's truth came home to roost;
9. God always honors faithfulness in being obedient to his holy scriptures, commandments, precepts, principals, and statutes;
10. It is never too late to get started, but the longer we wait the more difficult it can be;
11. Earlier is better than later, but later is better than never.
It is not baptism that saves us, it is rather the faith of Jesus Christ, Romans 10:9, 10.
Baptism is just a symbol of repentance, but it is not conditioned to one’s salvation.
God bless you.
2 Thessalonians 1:8-9 is for those who willfully refuse to accept the truth, and obey God. It is not for those who actually have not been preached to, as Romans 10:13-21.
One has to be taught and refuse to obey, just like those mentioned Romans 10:21.
God is just, and He has prepared a resurrection for the just and another resurrection for the unjust. But the dead in Christ come ahead of both resurrections, Acts 24:15; 1 Thessalonians 4:16.
And there will be a time, when those who have not heard the gospel during their lifetime will be taught, and given choice to make for themselves, sometime during the apocalypse.
So let’s trust God’s love and mercy shall also prevail with her.
God bless you.
This individual is correct in that we must be born again to receive the truth of understanding and wisdom of God's holy word ( John 3:3-5; 4:24).
1. The bible is written for believers after they have been regenerated;
2. But one does not stay saved by their works of goodness (righteousness);
3. We are saved by the faith of Jesus Christ ( Hebrews 12:2), all we do is ask for it ( Romans 10:10-13). It is his (Jesus) faith that saves us and keeps us saved ( Hebrews 12:2);
4. Anyone that believes you can lose your salvation after being born again, does not comprehend the meaning of being born again ( Colossians 2:9-13);
5. Jesus is eternal and when you receive him as lord and savior, your become eternal (new nature II Corinthians 5:17). Your flesh is still able to sin, but the new seed you have received does not sin ( I John 3:9). Flesh and blood will not inherit the kingdom of God ( John 6:63; I Corinthians 15:50). A new baby is born with a live body, live soul, and a dead spirit. When a person is born again they now have a living soul, a living spirit, and a dead body. There is a trade off at the moment of salvation ( Ephesians 2:1-10).
To become born again, you must accept Jesus Christ as your lord and savior, and believe that God raised him from the dead. Which means you confess or profess that Jesus becomes the lord of your life. You will obey him and follow him; you surrender your life to him that he may govern and mold it as pleases to him ( Romans 10:9,10).
That you can do by yourself, but it is best you are ministered, because that will give you and additional gear to make your travel in Christ Jesus more efficient. So best you approach a church in your vicinity, and get helped by them.
God bless you.
On verse 33-, The only way to inherit the Kingdom of God is to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Not just to know of him, but to know him intimately, Romans 10:9-13; John 3:1-7.
On verse 29- I cannot teach dispensational truth in this little space, but the book of Matthew is in New Testament, but not necessarily for church age doctrine. Read the epistles of Paul; Romans to Philemon for church age doctrine. Eternal salvation is for all who will receive Jesus Christ into their heart as savior ( Romans 10:9-13). The statement in verse 29 is directed at the disciples (Jews) for a future dispensation (millennial reign of Christ).
This is why Christians need to study dispensational truth by Clarence Larkin. I Timothy 2:15, God’s plan of salvation for all mankind has never wavered, Ephesians 1:4, Matthew 25:34, God’s method may change, but not his plan. Jesus first purpose was the Jews and have the Jews to have the oracles of God and to evangelize the world, but the Jews rejected him as their messiah John 1:11. So the kingdom of heaven was postponed and ushered in the church age (kingdom of God). The responsibility has now been given over to the gentiles ( Ephesians 3:1-10) until the time of the gentiles become in ( Romans 11:25), at the rapture of the body of Christ. When Christ stated that it is finished on the cross of Calvary, salvation was available for mankind and extended to whosoever would invite Jesus into their heart as savior, Romans 10:9-13, I Timothy 4:10.
