Dear Amanda, your ex is right, 2 Corinthians 6:14 says, "Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?"
You say you "can't" agree with his beliefs.
Have you been born again? Have you had an encounter with Jesus Christ that changed your life?
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16
Paul and Silas's jailer asked them in ACTS 16:30 ..."Sirs, what must I do to be saved?" Their answer was as simple as this in ACTS 16:31 ..."Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved..." Simple as that.
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.- Romans 10:9-13.
If you can say without a doubt you are a born-again believer--ask those questions. Attend church, pray, and read your Bible, for Romans 10:17 says, "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."
Remember, God should be more important to you than anything in the world for John 14:6 says,
"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." In other words, without Jesus Christ, you will go to hell.
Do you believe John 3:16 ? Do you believe GOD can heal? Do you believe GOD can change everything? Do you believe man who spoke those words over you, or GOD ALMIGHTY that created you!? Be Healed be delivered
Trust GOD
James 1:5, Romans 10:17, James 4:7, Luke 11:9-13,
Nick 34, You're saying only when you pray or read the Bible; the scripture says pray without ceasing 1Thessalonians 5:17. Lay the word on your heart & in your soul, bind on your hand, in front of your eyes, to talk about them often, with your children when sitting, walking along, when laying down, the WORD of GOD, Deuteronomy 11:18-20, Psalms 119:11,
Is it a spiritual attack to keep you from reading, praying & learning of a Loving Creator our Loving Father in Heaven? Or is it the HOLY Spirit bringing conviction of sin? If it's not peace that is present, your relationship needs work, possibly. Even Isaiah a Prophet of GOD, had to repent to be close to GOD's presence: Isaiah 1:6, These should be helpful
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."
God said it! I believe it, and that settles it for me.
1 John 4:18
"There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love."
Jesus of Nazareth loves you. He gave himself for you! If you are certain you love Jesus back, the issue is trust.
Trust in THE LORD! Be thankful to him in all things. The more you thank God, the more you will trust God!
Praise the LORD for all the comforting words of wisdom declared and shared on this forum. It is good to know that brethren exist and are active in every avenue of worship and praise unto the LORD JESUS CHRIST. It is like traveling- no matter where I go I can be assured there will be body of believers singing the praises of the LORD; preaching the Word of GOD; and I will comforted and allowed to be amongst them.
Let us extend our faith and knowledge of the LORD by praying and calling on GOD for HIS hand upon our current leadership in Washington. Our trust in Scripture and obedience to the same will bring about change as GOD, the LORD JESUS CHRIST see best for our times. May we lay aside every weight, especially the sin before us, and "let us run with patience the race that is set before us. Looking unto JESUS the author and finisher of our faith;..." Hebrews 12: 1b, 2a
So much before us to pray for and be active in; there is much we can do in HIS name. Let us start from the beginning: Romans 10: 9, 10; Ephesians 2: 8-10; Matthew 28: 18-20; 2 Chronicles 7:14, 15; 2 Peter 3:9; 1 Timothy 2: 1-5; 2 Peter 1: 1-8. Many more passages, I'm sure you can add to the list, Amen!
GOD bless everyone on this forum, and may the LORD GOD meet all your needs. "Who shall separate us from the love of CHRIST? ... Nay, in all things we are more than conquerors through HIM that loved us." Romans 8: 35, 37, 38, 39
The LORD bless you, and keep you! The LORD to make HIS face to shine on you, and be gracious to you. The LORD to lift HIS countenance upon you, and give you peace. Numbers 6: 24-26
Dear "Ray", the best thing you can do for you and yours is to read and understand this yourself. If you do not have any references that strengthen their/your statements, there are no firm rules that can come and they mislead and seduce. It doesn't matter who they are. That will only cause confusion. Scripture came first to the Jews. Romans 11:16-24 Moses received the 10 commandments. Deuteronomy Chapter 5. You can read all this here on the web or if you have a Bible at home. If you want to understand more, Genesis is a good place to start. It is basic. Personally, I do not dispute any of the books, or any of the stories in the Holy Script. Psalms 91:11
The best thing for everyone is to read the King James Version. It is absolutely the best understanding translation. An example is: You have probably been to the library and taken a book out of one of the shelves. It seems interesting, but when you open it and read a sentence, you don't understand a single word. The mind is unable to understand what the author wants to say. And other times your eyes run over the sheets and they register everything and you understand everything. Look and you will find, knock and it will open up for you. Pray to the Lord Jesus if you can get revelations and understanding, You can ask for anything, for example that you pray to get a new spirit so that you understand lies. It's good to have with you today. All people who confess Jesus as Lord are from God. Romans 10:9 Fillipians 2:11 Amen. In Jesus name, love u in Christ.
Hello BB. While I will certainly pray for your father, I will also pray for you to become confident in your belief in God. Faith comes by hearing and reading the WORD. For starters, I encourage you to watch Billy Graham's videos on youtube. I challenge you to read the Bible--beginning with the Gospel of John which displays the deity of Jesus Christ. Your total faith and salvation will not only plant seeds of faith and salvation in your father but save your immortal soul from hell. I am inserting instructions on how you can be saved.

I strongly urge you to take Jesus Christ as your Savior.
Hello, Isahi Reyes! If you are not born again, that is, not saved, here is the way to salvation:
"Paul and Silas's jailer asked them in ACTS 16:30 "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?"
Their answer was as simple as this in ACTS 16:31 "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved..." Simple as that.

"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." ( Romans 6:23)
"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." ( Romans 5:8)
"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." ( Romans 10:13)
Hello, Amber, like you, I struggled with salvation. I didn't think I was worthy--and I wasn't, nor are you, but the blood self-sacrifice of Jesus Christ makes you and me worthy. I was saved in 1971. You can be saved today.
Being saved is simple:
CONFESS and BELIEVE - If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Dear Nai, Jesus didn't promise us a life without problems and struggles. He promised to be with us during our rough times. If you have been saved, you have been sealed and nothing can take that away from you. Have faith, Nai, and endure to the end. Those who have been saved bear the fruit of the Spirit: Galatians 5:22-24 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
Love is the greatest fruit. You can have everything in the world, but if you do not have love, you have nothing.
Jesus is the only way to be saved. Here are the instructions--
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
If you have asked Him to forgive you and come into your heart, you are saved. Surrender to Him. Do His will. Pray, read and study His Word, bear witness of him, have faith.
Dear Loretta, sounds like there's a lot of suffering here. The daughter who is being tormented and her tormenter who sounds like she is mentally ill. You didn't mention whether the three of you were born again in Jesus Christ. If you accept him as Savior or come back to him to be restored He will give you peace.
If you are not born again here is the way to salvation:
"Paul and Silas's jailer asked in ACTS 16:30 ..."Sirs, what must I do to be saved?" Their answer was as simple as this in ACTS 16:31 ..."Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved..." Simple as that.

Please Lord God allow opportunities to be access able for Saw Myint Aung find support through this path of living that Saw Myint Aung is experiencing. I pray in Jesus Christ name that Saw Myint Aung comes to accept You Lord Jesus as Savior and the Holy Spirit will flow through with comfort and guidance!!
I don't know if you have a Bible or access to one, I would recommend this scriptures to reflect on: Psalms 23, 1 Peter 5:5-10, 2 Corinthians 7:10, 2 Corinthians 12:7-10, Romans 10: 9-13, and Romans 7: 9-25.
I would also suggest finding a bible based church and support group based in faith in Jesus Christ that studying the bible and do activities that helps others. Idleness is a foothold to the devil.
1. Brethern, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.
2. For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.
3. For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.
4. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.
5. For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them.
6. But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)
7. Or, who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)
7. But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
9. That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
12. For there is no difference between Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
13. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
14. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
15. And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
Dear Monica Dhaliwal, I surely will pray for your salvation, but it is your decision to be saved that will make it happen.
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.- Romans 10:9-13.
Dear Marie, things do not bring happiness (though spiritual blessings do bring much joy). God gives us joy when we are saved and take up the cross and follow Him: Galatians 5:22-24 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
To be saved:

For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. I hope that you will know our Lord Jesus Christ more and more with each new day He give you to live in this life. It is Jesus Who leads us to the Father, and the Holy Spirit Who leads us to Jesus, and the Gospel of Jesus Christ that activates the working of salvation in one's life. Not Mary, not any saint, nor any other means. Jesus is the ONLY Mediator between the Father and us ( 1 Timothy 2:5. Jesus is our ONLY Savior ( Hosea 13:4; Isaiah 43:11) Mary attested to this in Luke 1:47 in the Magnificat.
Romans 10:8-12 says that if we confess with our mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in our hearts that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. And in Romans 1:16 Paul say that he is not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes.
Angela, you do not need to appeal to Mary or anyone else but Jesus for salvation and all of your spiritual needs. He is our all in all. Mary was a humble woman. She was eager to agree to being the mother of our Savior. God chose her. She is special for that. But she is not involved in saving us in any way. God could have chosen another woman to conceive our Savior. But there can be no other as our Savior but Jesus. I think Mary was a godly example for all of us. She no doubt was meek and did not wish to bring glory to herself. She knew her role and standing before God. She did not seek more than being an obedient servant of God. She would not wish to have all of the (misguided) adulation given to her. She knows that all of the glory, honor, and praise is reserved strictly for our Triune God. He alone is God and worthy of our worship. Turning to Mary for help is like turning to any other pagan idol, as the Israelites did with the golden calf or the cakes baked to the "Queen of Heaven" (Ishtar), or the Asherah poles to the idol similar to Ishtar.
Angela, much of what the Catholic Church teaches about Mary go back to very ancient times after the flood.....
Dear Gav, if you are saved, ask God to forgive you of those addictions and the sins you have committed and repent from them--that is, turn away from them with God's help and never take them up again.
Psalms 139:23, 24 Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Galatians 5:22-24 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
Psalm 25:4 Show me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths.
Now, I would ask: have you been born again? There is no peace without Christ. This is how to be saved:
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.- Romans 10:9-13.
"As it is written, 'There is none righteous, no, not one.'" ( Romans 3:10)
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." ( Romans 3:23)
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." ( Romans 6:23)
"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." ( Romans 5:8)
"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." ( Romans 10:13)
Hi Robert. Was there a particular verse in Romans chapter 11 that leads you to believe that being a Jew is a matter of choice? We are indeed "all seeds of Noah", but not all of us are descended from one of Noah's sons, Shem then many others through to Jacob.
Here are few Scriptures that tell us of this special people, chosen of God, to be His Own: Deuteronomy 7:6; Deuteronomy 14:2; 1 Chronicles 16:13; Psalm 89:3,4; Psalm 105:6, & many more. So Israel, because of their rejection of their Messiah & depending on the Law (to gain righteousness - Romans 10:3,4) have been rejected (cut out of the olive tree). But those amongst them who believe & also from the Gentiles who have turned to Christ, are God's true Israel ( Romans 9:6,7). Maybe, you're thinking of the true Israel that belongs to God.
My comment is that salvation is conditional whether people believe it or not, because its what the Bible says. It's full of calls to action and challenging us to change our behavior. Most people will not be saved Matthew 7:13. Salvation is with grace but is only for believers/followers- a choice that each person must make. One way to summarize this action appears to be genuine belief and faith in Jesus Christ. John 3:16. That is an action and choice.
So, if someone does not believe, one can presume the unbeliever will not be saved. This already "offends" a lot of people, because some want to justify themselves in their own mind while doing the bare minimum they assume God wants. Some have been deceived into believing obeying God is "bad." But believing is only one of many action verbs the Bible challenges us to do. Other actions fall under this category of genuine active belief and following Jesus too. All these verses in the Bible are true and are equally important. Some like to cherry pick one, but ignore others and assume they don't apply, but they all apply and are true and are God's word.
believe:
John 3:16
follow Jesus:
John 8:12
deny himself:
Luke 9:23
confess:
Romans 10:9
faith:
Ephesians 2:8
hearing:
Romans 10:17
repent and be baptized:
Acts 2:38
keep commandments:
John 15:10
love:
Matthew 22:37-40
There are many more. Some falsely assume by obeying God they are doing 'works' and that is 'bad', therefore, obeying God is 'bad'. No, that's not what the Bible says, and obeying doesn't mean you're saved by works or that people who obey believe that.
My last comment is that James and Paul are consistent. Some assume Paul was anti-works, but only if you cherry pick a few verses and ignore large parts of his book can that conclusion be drawn. Paul was very much pro-obedience as the following verses demonstrate:
Dear Monica, below is what the Bible says about being saved. Please do call on His name and be saved and then share your experience with those you know so that they can also be saved from the damnation of hell.
Dear Shemika, I'm so sorry this is happening to you. If you are a born-again Christian, faith is enough. Hebrews 4:1 "Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it." 2 Corinthians 12:9"And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me."
Devote yourself to Him in prayer, Bible reading and study, witness to others, and give Him a tenth of that money you have and of any future money.
If you are not saved, here's how to take Jesus as your personal Savior.
Giannis GBU...But you are wrong....While we were yet sinners Christ died for us...All of us.... Romans 10:20...I was found of them that sought me not and i was made manifest unto them that asked not after me...Its Jesus that is gonna do the drawing...If i be lifted up i will I will I will DRAW ALL MEN UNTO ME unto me...God showed his love for humanity while we were yet sinners Jesus died for everyman....I will draw all men unto me... Romans 5:9 kjv....Thats y Rev...7:9 is saying...I saw a number that NO MAN cd number of all nations tribes and ppls and tongues and kindreds....Its Jesus who drew all these ppl to HIMSELF....Which is that New Covenant in his Blood....I will KNOW THEM ALL FROM THE LEAST TO THE GREATEST...And their sins and iniquities will i remember no more... Dear Dawn, no matter what happens, the most important thing for you to do is be born again, because NOTHING else matters. Rich people with everything or poor people with nothing with go to hell without Jesus.
To be born again:
"As it is written, 'There is none righteous, no, not one.'" ( Romans 3:10)
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." ( Romans 3:23)
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." ( Romans 6:23)
"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." ( Romans 5:8)
"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." ( Romans 10:13)
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.- Romans 10:9-13
Don't hesitate to ask Jesus to forgive you, repent of your sins--that is, turn away from delibertly commiting sin. And be baptised to show publicly that you have been born again.
My prayers are for you!
Do you believe John 3:16 ? Do you believe GOD can heal? Do you believe GOD can change everything? Do you believe man who spoke those words over you, or GOD ALMIGHTY that created you!? Be Healed be delivered
Trust GOD

Romans 10:9

I strongly urge you to take Jesus Christ as your Savior.
God bless and keep you!

CONFESS and BELIEVE - If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
If you have asked Him to forgive you and come into your heart, you are saved. Surrender to Him. Do His will. Pray, read and study His Word, bear witness of him, have faith.
God bless you!
If you are not born again here is the way to salvation:

I don't know if you have a Bible or access to one, I would recommend this scriptures to reflect on: Psalms 23, 1 Peter 5:5-10, 2 Corinthians 7:10, 2 Corinthians 12:7-10, Romans 10: 9-13, and Romans 7: 9-25.
I would also suggest finding a bible based church and support group based in faith in Jesus Christ that studying the bible and do activities that helps others. Idleness is a foothold to the devil.
Romans 10:1-16
7. But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
16. But they have not all obeyed the gospel.
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Repent and confess Romans 10:9+10 and believe in their heart and do God's
Word it isn't going to be a glorious eternity. Sodom and Gomorrah was a clue
And so is Romans 1:21-28 and a few other places there's the truth. Also nobody
And I mean no body is born homosexual male or female! God Bless I pray they
Change their hearts and get softer ones. God is waiting with open arms to heal!
Romans 2:9-10
1 Peter 1:5
1 Cor 9:24-27
Hebrews 6:4-6
Galatians 5:1-4
2 Timothy 2:10
Hebrews 10:26
2 Corinthians 5:10

Devote yourself to Him in prayer, Bible reading and study, witness to others, and give Him a tenth of that money you have and of any future money.
If you are not saved, here's how to take Jesus as your personal Savior.
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. ......Remember Legion the man with all the demons, he wanted nothing to do with Jesus...But Jesus cast the devils outta of Legion anyway....Jesus didn't care what Satan wanted....He paid the price for every man...As we are all bought with a price...his blood.
Law. The age of Grace started day of pentecost, which was end of law
Which Paul covers grace given freely but that doesn't imply do whatever
You want sin or broken fellowship is sin. But no amount of works
Under the law can cleanse us from all unrighteousness that includes
Water baptism. Personally if some one wants to be baptised in water ok
If that helps them in their head get born again spiritually. But I'll stick with
Romans 10: 9+10 and believing that in the heart don't see any water there.
God bless and I'm done discussing this.
Dwell on it Confess Romans 10:9+10 and believe it in your heart and you will
Receive power from on high or get born again of holy spirit. I personally have
Never been water baptised but I do speak in tongues. So believe and let Go
And let God or ad I like to say let r rip tatter chip figure of speech! Lol

Don't hesitate to ask Jesus to forgive you, repent of your sins--that is, turn away from delibertly commiting sin. And be baptised to show publicly that you have been born again.
