I agree with you, the mystery of God is complex.

I do not agree with you concerning the "mystery of godliness" as it pertains to Scripture you provided, being God Himself. I believe it concerns the Son of God being born of woman ( Isaiah 7:14). Jesus is the One spoken of in 1 Timothy 3:16 and the One promised in Genesis 3:15

I agree with you, Jesus is the way to salvation.

I, however, must disagree with you that God is Jesus and Jesus is God, and again will state that I believe Jesus never came claiming to be His Father.

Jesus came as the personification of the Words of the Father John 1:1-2); and His authority came from the Father; and He lost none of His Father's sheep ( John 17:12)

But Jesus is not the Father.

The word mystery only occurs in the New Testament.

The word "mystery" is the Greek word "musterion" and basically means a "secret."

There is more than one "mystery" spoken of in Scripture.

There is the mystery concerning the DURATION of time of the blindness of Israel ( Isaiah 6:9-10, Romans 11:25).

There is the mystery concerning the kingdom of God which was revealed in parables to the general public, but explained to the 12 Apostles; ( Matthew 13:10-11, 1 Peter 1:10-12)

There is the mystery concerning the fact that "we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed" ( John 11:25-26, 1 Corinthians 15:51, also look at Philippians 3:14, 1 Thessalonians 4:15, Hebrews 9:27)

There is the mystery of iniquity and lawlessness that is connected to MYSTERY BABYLON of Revelation 17:5-7, (look at Daniel 8:23, Daniel 12:4, Matthew 22:4, Acts 2:38, 2 Thessalonians 2:7)

There is the great mystery or secret concerning the Gentiles being co-heirs in the body of Christ, which was only revealed after the second rejection the King and the Kingdom by the Jews in Acts 28:17-31. This is the secret that was kept secret since the world began and what is being spoken of in Romans 16:25-26, Ephesians 3:1-12, and Colossians 1:24-27.

Will the Jews that love God not see and understand when the Messiah returns;

Romans 11:1-19 is inspiring as well.

Sometimes I think of Jesus at the beginning as a spring that became rivers that flowed all the way to Jesus the Christ Child. The banks of the river belong to God too, inspiring the flow of Truth all the way to the Savior.

It was PROPHESY. It all happened as the Godhead Wrote it. Through Jesus's suffering He set the new Covenant in motion until the mystery be completed: UNTIL the fullness of the Gentiles.

Romans 11:8. According as it is written, God hath given them a SPIRIT OF SLUMBER

Romans 14:11-12. Everyone is going to give an account for every idle word that has come out of the mouth. You are opposing yourself! Opposing Gods written plan for Gentiles and Jews. No born again person can call Jesus accursed; or His Father.

God is dealing with Israel. He doesn't need Gentile help. We should be grateful, because us Gentiles are being blessed huge because God has Israel off in a corner wondering why so many Gentiles are in love with Jesus, and follow him around like a flock of sheep.

BUT Soon, God is going to bring them in to Himself again. Then He will have ONE whole flock. That's His recorded purpose.

I do not see scripture that supports daily RAILING against the blind and deafened Jews of today Israel. Let God do as he said.

e. last, but not least, this is probably the greatest hindrance to a Catholic's salvation: are you truly God's child because of what Jesus has done for you, or are you believing that you need to add to it to give you a guarantee?

Christ's salvation is given only by having FAITH in what He did for you on the Cross: faith in His dying for your sins, taking your place; His Resurrection back to life showing that God accepted His Sacrifice; His Ascension back into Heaven & His intercessory work for you right now. That's all you need is faith in Him - nothing else - no added works (however good they might be) to guarantee your salvation. That's all you need is faith in Him - nothing else - no added good works to guarantee salvation. So, we summarize knowing & receiving Salvation using our A B Cs:

A: Acknowledge. To understand & accept that Jesus is God's Son & that He came to give His Life for you & me on the Cross. This can only be done by Jesus, no one else. I know you will acknowledge this great Truth.

B: Believe. To repent of your sins, your old way of living, your old beliefs that were contrary to what the Bible teaches, & give all of that wrongdoing to Jesus to be put to death with His death. It is to say, "I'm sorry with all my heart Lord Jesus, for all my sin that I have done, so please forgive me & make me a new person & come in & fill me with your Holy Spirit Who makes me a child of God". But you must truly be convicted by the Spirit to cry for forgiveness. Just to say a prayer or repeat some words doesn't do anything - this is because we're talking about God changing your heart & giving His Spirit, not some contract. You may need to spend time talking to God about how you're feeling & start reading the Bible that will draw you to that point of being convicted of sin & able to truly repent from your heart & not your mind.

Why would God harden pharaoh's heart and use Pharaoh to destroy and show His power?

Paul says, For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power"

I believe the answer involves a pre-existence, meaning we existed before we came to earth.

Pharaoh was a vessel of dishonor and would not purge himself becoming a vessel of honor.

Plenty of people that call themselves Jews are not ( Revelation 2:9, 3:9). Just as many today that call themselves Christian are not.

Devout Jews believe in God OUR Father. Others are whatever they claim to be. An "unbelieving Jew" is called a Gentile; just as an unbelieving Christian is called a Gentile.

The "Jews" that crucified Jesus CLAIMED to be Jews, as the High Priest was the leader of them. But their actions spoke of them that are of the synagogue of Satan.

The Apostles were of the house of Israel (Jews); otherwise they would not have been chosen.

Were not the JEWS PURPOSELY BLINDED BY GOD until the return of Jesus? ( Acts 28:25-28)

Did God not say that He would restore His people; the JEWS? ( Romans 11:26) The Deliverer (Jesus) will turn ungodliness from Jacob (ALL 12 TRIBES)

I am not sure of the one you said who claimed to be a prophet is indeed a prophet, that I don't know nor do I dare to say anything on what I don't know for you should not go against the Lord's anointed and nor should we speak any idle words, for that is what God is going to judge of for according to Matthew 12:36.

HOWEVER, that being said, the person is not wrong at all as one can lose their salvation. I am sorry for those who have lied to you saying otherwise by picking and choosing (usually from brother Paul-it's as if they follow him rather than Jesus), but in taking in what Jesus says and the Bible as a whole, you certainly can. I would recommend in reading all of (1-3) John ( 1 John 3:8-9, 1 John 1:6, ! John 3:6 specifically), Hebrews (Hebrew 10:26 specifically), and the Book of James regarding the point, but we can look at one simple parable from Jesus at the end of Matthew 18 ( Matthew 18:23-35 specifically) completely dismantling the false and utter lie from the devil OSAS doctrine. For we see a man who have sinned, was cleansed, forgiven, and saved and, then after this he sins again and is taken by the tormentors (hell). We also got Romans 11:22 (The same Paul these Calvinistic OSAS guys like to quote from), "Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be [cut off.]" Couldn't be clearer.

These people, are liars from the flesh, not getting their the truth from the Bible or the Holy Spirit but from either their flesh or men of the flesh learning from other men of the flesh. I think the word 'end' here is similar to the word fulfill. Paul wrote Romans and is not saying it's ok to sin. We're saved by grace, but this is provided we are a Christian following Christ. Notice what Paul writes in the next chapter: Romans 11:19-23 "...if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off." To me this is similar to Paul saying Romans 6:1. Warning against people who want to abuse the gift. Also similar to Hebrews 10:26. Romans 7 and James 2 explain this. Paul struggles with sin as he says in Romans 7:15 and is trying hard to obey and avoid sin. Rom 7:12 Paul says the law is holy, just and good. God bless...

The Word of God is CLEAR!

Okay, here are my thoughts on what Paul may have meant by the words "unto" and "for" Him. Again, these are just my thoughts.

First of all, I see the comparison to Romans 11:36, so I thought I would take that and maybe share something you might be looking for, unless you already know the answer. In Romans 11:36, the words "of Him" is literally "out of Him" as a source. For out of Him, and through Him, He is the sustainer of all things. Everything has come from Him. He is the source of all things.

When I go to Hebrews Chapter 1, it tells me that all things, the epics of history and time are being carried along by the word of God. The word of God is holding all things together, carrying history along, according as God designed it. Romans 11:36 also says, and to Him, which is literally the word EIS with the accusative in the Greek. To Him! He is the significance in everything. Everything is for Him.

And I just sit back and wonder what He is doing with my life because there are things I just don't understand? But when I realize that He has a purpose and will for my life, and He has set me apart for his purposes, even if I don't understand what it is, I am content because I know He is in control. I have to live by faith, and even He is the source of that faith. I don't have to understand. All I know is that everything has been designed by Him, and that He sustains everything, that His Spirit carries out His will, and everything is for His purposes. Jesse, you have dissected Colossians 1:16 indisputably well. However, what I am focused on is the "Unto Him", the "For Him" statement in the verse.

What could Paul have meant by stating that all things were created "Unto" Him?

Matthew Chapter 24 is dealing with a future event known as the Tribulation Period. This will be a 7 year period. It is broken up into three sections: Verses 4-14 deal with the first 3-1/2 years, known as "The pains of birth." Verse 15 is known as "The pivotal point" where the antichrist steps in and takes over the temple. And then Verses 16-28 deal with the last 3-1/2 years of the 7 year tribulation period. The last 3-1/2 years is known as the "Great Tribulation," a time when God's wrath will be poured out on a wicked and unbelieving earth.

And then from Verse 29 to Verse 31, we have the promise of Christ's coming. At His second coming, He is going to gather together, His elect, that would be the Jews, from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other, north, south, east, and west. That's why Romans 11:26 tells us that when Christ returns, all Israel will be saved. When Christ comes at His second coming, those Jews on the earth will be saved, approximately one-third of them that began the tribulation period.

When Adam & Eve were created they were spiritually connected to God. When they disobeyed and ate the fruit, that connection was severed. How angry was God? In verse 21, He made them clothing.

God is the Alpha (beginning) and the Omega ( the ending). He knows everything. He doesn't cause pain and suffering. People bring it on themselves. Or they listen to the satanic I WILL, who at that moment had the deed to the earth. Adams failure in the garden as a son of God, put that responsibility on Jesus. He won the deed back on the Cross. Now he is a defeated foe awaiting the final battle as written in Revelation.

The only way we can be made spiritually alive to God is through His son, Jesus Christ! You must be born again and Receive the Holy Spirit; be sealed; be baptized!

Your Life as a Christian will bloom when you are tight with the Holy Spirit; who is God and many other qualities. When you ask Him to come into your life & kick his shoes off... you will fall deeply and reverently, in love with Him. If you ask Him to search you and take out anything that is not like Jesus, you need to be serious and reverent.

BUT as touching the election, they are BELOVED for the fathers sakes (plural) Deuteronomy 9:5.

They're OUT now, and we are IN. God did that all by Himself. Didn't need any of us to debate the soundness of His Decision. Why indeed should any of us Gentiles shed a tear for millions of Jews who were murdered?

I think what you need to do Bob is prove to everyone that repent means to turn from sin because it doesn't it means to change your mind God changed his mind many times and in order for anyone to be saved they have to change their minds and if you had to turn from sin to be saved you become the savior and therefore you're not going to be saved Romans 11:6 and if by Grace then it is no more of Works otherwise Grace is no more Grace but if it be of works and it is no more grace otherwise work is no more work Ephesians 2:8 and 9 for by grace are you saved through faith it is not of yourselves as gift of God not of Works lest any man should boast 1st John 1:8 if we claim to be without sin we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in US

Only the Father knows the day of the Rapture.

Praise GOD who is rich in His Mercy and His Grace for all of us. Maybe the key lies with "Patience" for all not wishing that any should perish but that all should come to faith in JESUS also as written above thru our mercy.

God has NOT cast away His people Israel!

Romans 11:1

I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham of the tribe of Benjamin.

Israel stumbled at the cross, and fell at the stoning of Stephen.

BUT through their (Israel's) fall, salvation came to the Gentiles through the apostle Paul and the gospel, believing in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ, all by grace through faith.

God will resume His prophetic program with Israel after The Body Of Christ is raptured (taken) out of the way.
