    We are told in this chapter to help those who are weak. Not judge or condemn them.
  • Brianna on Romans 15:4 - 9 years ago
    This defines the purpose of the bible in a nutshell. It was designed to give comfort and hope, to help us endure until Jehovah God put an end to the wickedness we see. Sometimes individuals question why the bible doesn 't speak on dinosaurs or aliens. The bible was not written for an In depth explanation of life beyond the stars, or every creature that ever existed. They very we 'll could exist. But the bible was specifically written for humans as a guide to help us attain the real life, on a paradise earth. Perhaps then we can satisfy our questions for other things.

    It starts in Romans 15 18 and also in 2 Corinthians 5 18 20 and Psalms 103 20 where the Voice of the Word should first be heard in our spirit before we share it with others in order to have an impact through the mighty power of the Holy Spirit manifesting miracles signs and wonders Jesus said that He only speaks what He hears the Father speaks

    Thank you. If Jesus in Glory commanded the disciples to now go to all the world (including Gentiles) and preach the Gospel of the Kingdom, why do they change the command and/or plan and shake hands with Paul in Gal ch2 and send him to the Gentiles and they are only going to go to the Jews? Paul does not preach the Kingdom gospel but preaches only Christ Crucified, ( I Cor 1:23) not the Lord. (And never knew Jesus in His earthly ministry)If we Gentiles are saved by the shed blood and that he died for our sins, why doesn't Peter mention any of that to the House of Cornelius in Acts ch10 ? Only Paul is a minister to the Gentiles. ( Romans 15:16) Romans 16:25, Gal 1:16, Gal 2:2, Gal 2:8, Ephesins 3:1-10 and more I'm sure. Thank you

    Verse 29;that I shall come to you in the fullness of the blessing of the gospel of Jesus Christ. This is how a born again Christian ought to live.that wherever you go, you go in the fullness of the blessing of the gospel.this portion means that where there is the fullness there's divine healing, divine prosperity,lame men walking, the dead rising and so on.
    So walk in the fullness today
  • Mas on Isaiah 29 - 11 years ago
    @Umar Janyau,
    This chapter is a series of prophecies about Israel forgetting the Lord God in walking away from his word and how Israel would consequently suffer oppression from its foes. But ultimately, the Lord Jehovah would repay Israel’s oppressors and redeem Israel.
    Most of such prophecies were fulfilled in the course of time and have been written to our learning, so that we may place our faith not in ourselves, but in God.
    Just like Israel’s prosperity and freedom were conditioned on their relationship with Jehovah, so are ours today too as Christians, our prosperity and freedom are conditioned on our good is relationship with Jehovah God, through Christ Jesus, Romans 15:4-7.
    God bless you.
  • Louieg on Acts 1 - 12 years ago
    The book of Acts is actually the beginning of the church administration. as prior to this throughout the Old Testament and the Gospels it was only available to have the spirit upon you. In Romans 15:4 it says that for whatsoever things were written afore-time were written for our learning and these are great, great learning tools, but when Jesus Christ died for our sins and was ascended into heaven, then and only then was it available to be born again and have the spirit of Christ in you. Romans 10:9,10 is the key to being born again and God made it so easy, but people try to work their way to heaven and they miss the simplicity of how easy God made it available to us.
  • Ivan howard on Romans 15 - 12 years ago
    Mr. Williams, you hit the nail on the head with your comment, people fail to see the New Testament is in the Old Testament concealed and the Old Testament is in the New Testament revealed.
  • André on Deuteronomy 15 - 12 years ago
    @Rachel,
    Deuteronomy 15 is not for us to apply, it was meant for the Israelites, Romans 15:4. However aspects stressed in that chapter can benefit us and give us light in such issues. God bless you.
  • Susan Dalton on Romans 9 - 13 years ago
    "What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, [nations other than Israel] which followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith. But Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness, hath not attained to the law of righteousness. Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone; As it is written, Behold, I lay in Zion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed." ( Romans 9:30-33) "For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." ( Romans 10:12-13) The gospel of Jesus Christ is for all people, all nations; the only exclusion comes from unbelief. "Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers: And that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercies; as it is written, For this cause I will confess to thee among the Gentiles, and sing unto thy name. And again he saith, Rejoice, ye Gentiles, with his people. And again, Praise the Lord, all ye Gentiles; and laud him all ye people. And again, Esaias saith, There shall be a root of Jesse, and he that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in him shall the Gentiles trust." ( Romans 15:8-12) Jesus came to save all. "All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to do whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world." Amen. ( Matthew 28:19-20)Also, Jesus said, "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned." ( Mark 16:15-17) The gospel of Jesus Christ (salvation) is for every nation, and is for every person; it is for all. Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved,
  • Clarence Williams on Romans 15:4 - 13 years ago
    God is a changeless God in a changing world. Since all scripture is divinely inspired,it is written to us and therefore instruction is derived from the Old and New Testaments.
