@Cisco. Hello, I hope all is well with you. I'm not certain of your motivation for posing the question but I will respond with the hope that you will better understand the passion and truth behind the gospel of Jesus . Now, I will simply say that the chapter and specified verses you referenced are in fact used (as well as many others) by some (and not all) Christians as a witness and testament that salvation through Jesus Christ is available to ALL who believe and NOT just to the Jew, Greek or Roman. Paul is exhorting All Christian believers to be a witness of God's salvation through Jesus Christ. The book of Romans in and of itself is both an instructional guide so to speak for Christian conduct and for appropriately spreading the gospel unto salvation to Gentiles. If you continue further on in the remaining verses, you will see that. As far as scriptural reference, I infer that the whole book of Romans attests to what i said. I don't debate scriptures for argument sake especially since there are those who doubt the existence and sovereignty of Yahweh and Yeshua anyway. For it is the Father who calls those unto repentance by His grace and love. It is His mercy that circumvents our destruction when we deserve it. God bless you my friend.

The bottom line is this. We (the called out one's “The Ecclesia”; God people) should not hate one who "chooses" to lead a homosexual lifestyle. For that is "not" for us to do. God makes it very clear, that it's an "abomination" to Him. As for how to deal with a person in ones family on this matter. There are several other scripture the one can use to aid in “fruitful” conversation on the matter; Matthew 18:15, Romans 1:24-32, etc.

Do I lie if I say Romans 1 is an Epistle, a letter to the church at Rome? Why then does the Christian world--DIRECT-sinners to Romans 10:9-10 for the purpose of accepting Christ as their Savior??? All of Romans, the complete book are letters, Epistles to SAVED FOLKS. Could some one explain--why this has been done for hundreds of years???? I would love to hear a SCRIPTURAL answer.

@ Anonymous...you are correct in that the Most High God loves us all equally, but that does not mean He agrees with the lifestyle we choose. Whether we choose to be promiscuous, commit adultery/fornication or choose a same sex partner it does not change God's law. Please read Romans chapter 1.

I believe we christians should climb atop the telephone poles and 'shout out' this 'Good News' to the people of this world. So many are hungrily seeking the truth but they are being led astray.
Where there is no truth, the people will believe a lie. There are now many anti-christ in this world doing all they can to suppress the teaching of 'The Good News', The Gospel of Jesus Christ. There is much that needs to be done, the fields truly are 'ripe unto the harvest', ready to be saved. How can they be saved,? except they hear the Gospel, how can they hear except someone preach and teach it to them. Who will say ' here am I oh Lord, send me, I will go '? Preach the Gospel to the ends of the earth.

Please read the previous verse ( Romans 1:27) which DOES speak of women. You can argue away the truth if you don't have a love for it and a true desire to love and please God but rather a to please your flesh. But this does not change the truth or God, just your judgement on that final day! Please also read 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12.

I agree with what God says! Whatever he says that settles it!!! It’s not what man says, think or feel that matters it’s what he (God) says. Heaven and earth shall pass away but the word of God shall stand!!!

That kind of relationship is still against nature, it is just women’s homosexuality. It is part of vile affections spoken of in Romans 1:26-27.
Because natural sexuality is woman’s body that goes with man’s which it is prepared to receive. It is lubricated and has natural antiseptic and detergent abilities to that end, and can result in procreation.
All the rest is just sinful fabrication or excess that is sustained by sadist and self-mutilation spirits. No one can feel confortable in such practices without deception from spiritual conspiracy.
Thank God deliverance is available in Christ Jesus. The blood of Jesus Christ is there to cleanse us from any iniquity, 1 John 1:4-10, Isaiah 1:18-19. And not only can our sins be forgiven, but also and mainly, God is able to set us free from such possessions if we are meek and humble to His will. No matter how far we’ve gone in such practices, Psalms 146:8 says “The LORD openeth the eyes of the blind: the LORD raiseth them that are bowed down: the LORD loveth the righteous:”. Being blind or bowed here not only applies to physical aspects of life, but also and mainly to the spiritual ones; levels of sin when right becomes bad and bad good. Because the mind becomes blind, unable to perceive the truth, or bowed, just abnormal. God is able to set us free from such.
But we first need to get born again of the spirit of God, then God can do the job in us in Christ Jesus, as the word says in Romans 8:11, “But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.”
The spirit of God dwelling is us is intended to do any pending work in our body and mind, if we can just keep “stirring it up” in our daily life, 2 Timothy 1:6.

Men with men is wrong and women with women is also wrong; who say it's ok?

This scripture, of not being ashamed of the gospel of Christ, is revealed from faith to faith, i.e. the love that Christ followers have for others despite our own personal preferences. The salvation of God is available to all that believe. The salvation gives us a chance to throw away our way and receive GOD’s way. It always comes back to how we treat one another, and again it is despite, we must believe and trust that GOD is able to secure all things to himself, and continue to love one another, as instructed by GOD.

To some, God made a puzzling statement when He wrote that "time and chance happen to them all" ( Ecclesiastes 9:11). We recently encountered some who believe this means that, sometimes, bad things happen for no real reason. This seems to be a position of too much convenience. This position also avoids the diligent study that could reveal what God wants us to know. It bothers us that this position provides an advantage, without realizing it, to those who believe contradictions exist in the Bible. Bad things certainly happen. But it would be completely out of character for the same God who does not forget not even a sparrow, and who assures us that we are so much more valuable to Him. “Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? And not one of them is forgotten before God. Why, even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not; you are of more value than many sparrows” ( Luke 12:6-7 ESV). Either we are valuable to God, and all that it entails, or we are not. Yet we are to believe God allows anything to happen without a reason. Think about the implications of something happening without any reason. It means one of two things: either God wasn't paying attention or didn't care. That's like calling the Almighty either incompetent or apathetic. We know that neither is true. Consider the following. God is all-seeing, “The Lord looks down from heaven; He sees all the children of man from where He sits enthroned, He looks out on all the inhabitants of the earth, He who fashions the hearts of them all and observes all their deeds” ( Psalm 33:13-15 ESV) Either God is all seeing or He is not and we must deal with the implications that that brings. God is never-sleeping. He will not let your foot be moved He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold He who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep ( Psalm 121:3-4 ESV). Either God is not awake or He is awake and we must deal with all that that means. God cares deeply about His people. “For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord” ( Romans 8:38-39 ESV). Either we accept what God’s deep caring for us means or we do not. This potentially harmful position must be examined. So we must examine the alternative—that, while God does not directly cause evil, He knowingly allows it to happen. Because humanity has elected to follow its own way instead of God's, "And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which ought not be done. They were filled with all unrighteousness, evil, covetousness, malice. They are filled with envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness, They are gossips, slanders, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boasters, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless ( Romans 1:28-31 ESV). God has, in essence, taken a step back from the world when it says it doesn't want Him around. He is allowing its inhabitants to see the result of a life without Him. That result is, from a human perspective, time and chance. Let us repeat, for emphasis: It is from a human perspective that God is not in control, not in His sound reality. From our earthly, secular and imperfect way of seeing things, random chance has its way, against the plan of God. It is not holy, spiritual or perfect to hold the position that things happen without reason. Perhaps you know someone battling a life threatening medical problem. First it is not necessary or essential for us to know the mind of God in this unfortunate situation. Second, it remains true that God can and does provide the avenue of prayer for him/her and all of us around him/her to seek the strength this person and those around them need to continue in grace and righteousness without doubting God. Third, we must not attribute to God what we have no evidence He did. When the elderly die not of disease, but simply the body God meant to be temporary finishes it use, according to the time and will of God. Many people say, hopefully in ignorance, “God took Grandmother”. God in reality simply allowed her soul to rest in Abraham’s bosom after the body served its purpose. This assumes that she was faithful – regardless of how loved she was. Being loved by others is no replacement for obeying God’s plan for our salvation. Though God has not lost the ability to restrain Satan and his demons at will, humanity has forfeited God's protection by turning its collective back on Him. As a result, "Again I saw that under the sun the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, nor bread to the wise, nor riches to the intelligent, nor favor to those with knowledge; but time and chance happen to them all" ( Ecclesiastes 9:11). Another reason, that bad things happen, is the result of humanity's choices; as a result of sin and forsaking God. But none of them happen accidentally or apart from God's will. As it is written in the Psalms, "Behold the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him, on those who hope in His steadfast love" ( Psalm 33:18 ESV). That is a promise that those who hold that things happen without reason should consider. Everything in life, no matter how minute, occurs for a reason. Nothing, however bad it may seem can justify randomness outside of the will of God. "No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it" ( 1 Corinthians 10:13b ESV). "Behold the Lord's hand is not shortened, that it can not save, or His ear dull that it cannot hear. But your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God; and your sins have hidden His face from you so that he does not hear" ( Isaiah 59:1-2 ESV)."And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose" ( Romans 8:28 ESV).

This is a curse of disobedience. We need to learn from this.

Just got a laptop and thought I'd start with Romans. G0d's word is my strength. Praise Him.

There seems to be a bit of misconception, even within well tutored and perhaps thorough bred Christians about the knowledge of good and evil as the Bible states it in the book of Genesis, the beginning of the Bible. And really that shouldn't be the case. The truth is, in that commencement chapter and some few chapters after it, it was the sin that Adam and Eve committed that made them loose the garden that God gave them. As a matter of fact, prior to what is known as the fall in the garden of Eden, God did prepare everything for them, and there was a river from Eden to water that garden and it became, four rivers that watered it according to the Holy Scripture, Genesis: 1, 2, 3. However, despite that fall, a way was made available and prophecy about Jesus Christ was given. And therefore when somebody, no matter where that person is from, genuinely and truthfully gives his or her life to the resurrected Jesus Christ, that person automatically and spiritually becomes a new creature in Christ Jesus. “For as many that received Him He gave them the power to become sons of God, even those who believe in His name”, John 1:12. And from them, all the things that Jesus Christ has with regard to the covenant, belong to him, as such individual committedly putting his or her dependency on the LORD. In other words, he or she, thus becomes joint heir with Jesus Christ of Nazareth; the man between man and God. However, such a new specie must start his/her Christian life, with the milk of the Word and also ensure that he or she conducts himself or herself daily, in line with the Word of God. And that is why daily spiritual exercise comes into it, ( John 3:16; Matthew 6;33). And if, according to the Word of God, I’m the righteousness of God through Jesus Christ, then this implies I’m also the goodness of God, through Jesus Christ of Nazareth. That is where justification by faith becomes something that every believer, should and must know about and also put into daily practice. In other words, if I can speak, for instance, my life to justification, then sanctification, and purification through the Holy Spirit ministration become possible vis a vis justification, and that is through the weaponry of the God kind of faith, Romans 1:16,17. In real fact, it is far more than what the physical eyes can see. Also it is far, and far more than stickers that you put on cars or vehicles or on the front of your door. And that is because; these are issues that have the backing of the immortal and the invisible, and they are only for the discerned, Deuteronomy 29:29. Also, it should be mentioned that, the Wisdom of God, with specific reference to the Word of the Holy Writ is not, and never compatible with unrighteousness, neither does it have semblance with ungodliness. Therefore, as believers and saints, we must not get into being, as it were, devil's consciousness, otherwise instead of concentrating on the aspect of obedience, there would be the tendency that the devil is the one that we would put blame upon, as the cause of some of the problems that a Christian is going through. And yet, that may not be the case. And that is where and personal examination becomes necessary. Hence, the import of honouring and practising things that we've learnt from God's Word, that are being taught, and that the Holy Spirit is dispensing and bringing into our individual lives. In fact it is very important that we understand that Jesus Christ has already conquered the world, therefore we are not only saved, but delivered, blessed, sanctified and purified. And with that understanding, it becomes necessary that we know and recognise that we are not only Christians, but also soldiers, as it were, in the Army of the LORD, with the righteousness of Jesus Christ and His goodness at work, in and upon our lives. And that is, to the honour and glory of our resurrected Saviour. Blessed be the name of the LORD; for Him alone is worthy of glory and honour.

I do believe that we are still taking the words of God out of their contexts simply because we do approach the Bible with our minds already made up with denominational doctrines. Otherwise something written in a plain English text shows that the Lord Jesus` accepting to be worshipped proved Him to be God ( John 20:28, Revelation 1:17-18). Another truth that this passage has also displayed is that the Jews were the FIRST CHURCH ( Acts 7:38), and that the Kingdom of God belongs to them because of the “Covenants” that God had made with their father, and again what the Syrophenician woman displayed here is that through faith the Gentiles will receive mercy and be part of the Kingdom of God. It is very wrong for anybody to teach that God has taken the Kingdom away from the Jews and gave it to the Gentiles. The only way that we can harmonize the Word of God is when we begin to crosscheck what was said in one place with another; and not apply theories to the words of God. For example what the Lord Jesus said here was in agreement with John 4: 22 where He says that, salvation is of the Jews, and in the same manner the Apostle Paul had followed Him with that tone. He disapproved every theory that the Kingdom was taken from the Jews for he always said, of the Jews first then the Gentiles Romans 1:16, etc.

Not hard to understand, just hard to swallow for some people. Leviticus 18:22 explains. Women changing their natural desires for men, and against nature they choose to lie with one another. And verse 27, explains verse 26. Likewise men leaving their natural use for women to lie with each other, men with men.

The words knew and know many times in the Bible Mean to have sex with. And Adam knew his wife and she conceived and Bare a son. The Men in this City were so given over to Homosexuality that they refused two Virgin Women. They wanted to know or Have sex with the Men that were in Lot’s House. They were so possessed with Homosexuality that even after the angels smote them blind they wearied themselves trying to find the door. It's referred to as an abomination. God commanded the Kings to put the Sodomites out of the land. If a man should lie with a man after the manner of a women they shall both be put to death (Leviticus). If God doesn't change, he still feels the same about this today. I wouldn't condone or look to find scriptures to condone something God hates so much. It is changing the truth of God into a lie and worshiping the creature and not the Creator. We are commanded to Mortify or (Kill) the lust of the flesh and the affections thereof. God is coming back for a bride that is pure white. Not a filthy lustful harlot stained with sin. God saves us from our sins not in them. Galatians 6- Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

Of course the wages of sin is death ( Romans 6 :23), and that death is not always capital punishment as it is carried out with man’s justice. But also and mainly (in this section), it means separation from God.
Just like Adam and Eve ate the fruit, and that same day both died, but not physically.
It’s spiritual death. Like we find it in 1 Timothy 5:6 “But she that liveth in pleasure is dead while she liveth”.
Yes, we as Christians ought to stoop down to them to finally lift them, but while doing that, we have to keep the demarcation lines clear and distinct, just like Jude 1:23 says “And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh”.
No complacency at all, “but speaking the truth in love”, Ephesians 4:15.

32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them. Does this scripture pertaining to the prior scriptures ( Romans 1:26-31) give us as Christians the right to condemn people who condone such actions to death? Shouldn't this chapter mean that the people who are looked up to represent us as Christians, teach us to follow the rules and not stoop to the level of sin in order to be a light in the darkness so the sins can be forgiven through the Son of God and not to pass judgment and/or the death penalty on everyone who sins?

Truth is, it is a very fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. As we learn to submit to Him, and take off our crowns. He is faithful when I am not. His word cleanses me from the inside out. He is not only the living God, but the loving God. He knows all my needs before I even ask Him. He knows what’s best for His sons, and daughters, just say yes Lord. Your will, not mine, be done. Amen!

This complete chapter very clearly defines and articulates the nature of man without God. Save for the grace of God there go I. It is also applicable to the spiritual state of affairs we see all around us, that is increasing with more intensity of darkness to them that do not believe.. I pray oh Lord, move heaven and earth in their behalf in order that they might be saved. And for those that continuously refuse the love of the truth. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the Living God. God's heart is for all men to come to the knowledge of the truth and be saved. Thank you Lord God for your faithfulness in all that you are, for you are the Father of lights and there is no shadow of turning. What a privilege to know You and be called your child.

What strikes or hits me is that, this word is real! Do what it say, and watch God do what he says! Verse 30, for example, they would none of my counsel, they despised all my reproofs. But do this and listen to God’s word, then watch your owns ways change. But you have to do this with your heart! Because this is what God looks at, and takes seriously. Verse 31, therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own wickedness! Verse 23, thus saith God, turn you at my reproof (counsel)! Behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you! Do this, and see God really lead you and guide you and tell you more than what the people go to church or worship building know. Because you are his people and he is your God through Jesus Christ! If your heart troubles you, God is greater than our heart and knows all things, but there is no man, stepping up then goes back, such an one is not fit for the kingdom of God ( Luke 9:62)! Or if any man draws back, God's soul have no more pleasure in him ( Hebrews 10:38). I know people think we should try to live the bible as best we can, but God said, man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds or comes forth out of the mouth of God ( Deuteronomy 8:3, Mark 4:4, Matthew 4:4, Luke 4:4). God is not playing with us when he came through Jesus Christ! God is with us for truth and righteousness, and to heal and raise us from the dead. Because his enemies are real, God through Jesus Christ also is real! But there are more of the enemy then of the truth or spirit of God! Because the enemy deceives us with the fancy, glittery things, and the things that are pleasing to the eyes, to trick us, and this he does well, but for destruction and hell! God sent his son servant here to deliver us from the fallen spirits, and to raise us up with truth and healing and strength. But many despise God’s wisdom, and rather believe the or a lie ( Romans 1:23), but while we stop and believe the lie, God keeps moving and leaves us behind, and says; unless you repent, you shall likewise perish ( Luke 13:3).
