    Sister GiGi:

    1 Timothy 1:10 For therefore we both labour and SUFFER REPROACH, because we believe in the living God, who is the Saviour of ALL MEN, specially those that believe.

    Romans 3:3 For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect.

    Romans 11:31 Even so have these also not believe, that through YOUR mercy they may have mercy.

    God bless you.

    Dear Sir or Madam,

    Thank you for the insult "You are obviously not aware of the Scriptures." Do you mean scriptures like Matthew 5:11 and 1 Peter 4:14?

    Let's address your claim: "The Bible is to the Israelites only."

    Is that true? Since there is a lack of evidence for this how can we be certain if your statement is true or not?

    Maybe you believe that because Jesus focused his ministry on Israel as said in Matt 15:24. But that doesn't automatically mean his teachings weren't for others, does it?

    1 John 2:2 - this says Jesus died for the sins of the 'whole world', not just Israelites. Doesn't that contradict what you said?

    John 10:16 - Jesus was ministering to one fold (flock) and said He had others. Could this mean He was talking about people in other countries besides Israel?

    Romans 3:29 - this clearly says God is the God of not just Jews but Gentiles too. Doesn't that contradict what you said?

    Isaiah 42:6 - same thing. This means He will be a light to other nations. This means the ministry DID include other people besides Israelites.

    Acts 2:21 - Everyone who calls upon the Lord shall be saved. If what you said was true it would say [Only Israelites] who call upon... But it clearly says "everyone."

    Have you read the above scriptures and what do they mean to you?

    Do you believe all moral law is Israel-only like murder, adultery, theft, idols? So, do you think God is ok with non-Israel people committing those sins?

    The conclusion of all things.

    Revelation 22:1-7.

    Let's skip ahead to 2 neglected verses.

    Revelation 22:10-11. And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand.

    He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.

    Here's where the unjust will remain unjust, and the just will remain just. Meaning judgement is past tense by the time we get here.

    Revelation 22:12. And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. Sounds familiar? ( 1 Corinthians 3:14-15.)

    Revelation 22:14-15. Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

    For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

    Verse 14 we have the redeemed! They're the just that will stay just mentioned in verse 11. How did they do his commandments? By Atonement!

    Romans 3:24-28.

    Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

    Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

    To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

    Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.

    Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

    Also: 1 John 2:1-2.

    And Hebrews 10:14-17.

    Revelation 5:9. And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;

    God bless.

    Hello GiGi, What I meant was that there is only one gospel that can save mankind today, and that is the gospel of grace ( Acts 20:24 1 Corinthians 15: 1-4 That Christ died for our sins, was buried and rose again the third day. Appropriated by faith alone apart from the Mosaic law ( Romans 3:20,21) The gospel of grace and doctrines for the body of Christ, the Church, was a secret ( Romans 16:25, Ephesians 3: 1-11) hidden in the mind of God until revealed to the apostle Paul. In other words, between the time God called Abraham and the calling of the apostle Paul, there was no message of salvation to the Gentile world ( Ephesians 2:11,12). The gospel of grace is most clearly defined in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 " Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures: And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures. Paul's Gospel: The apostle Paul Holy Spirit inspired of course, repeatedly referred to the gospel of grace as "my gospel"( Romans 2:16, 16:25 Galatians 2:2,7: 2 Timothy 2:8) Paul could say this because the gospel of grace was in fact revealed to Paul alone and he was chosen by the ascended and risen Lord Himself to be the apostle of the Gentiles( Acts 9:15, Romans 11:13) These new revelations came approximately10 years after Pentecost ( Galatians 1:1,11-12;17) All mankind during the age of grace will be judged according to Paul's gospel. " In the day that God will judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ, according to my gospel" Romans 2:16 Paul warned mankind twice in Galatians, anyone that preached any other gospel then what was revealed to him by the ascended Lord Himself will be cursed " Please read Galatians 1: 8-9 KJV

    Hi, Chris and Rick. I am only going to place English for each text I previously sent in the Greek. Romans 3:22, "Da pisteoos Ieesou Christou," "By THE faith of Jesus Christ," OR, "the faith that comes through Him."

    In Acts 3:16, The faith which is from (Or BY HIM)." "to onoma autou kai hee pistis hee di autou. If this verse were to read "Faith IN Jesus" rather than "Faith BY Him," the only way to translate this is, "OUR faith in Jesus Christ," healed the man!

    Galatians 2:20 reads in the Greek, "Ho de nun zoo en sarki en pistei zoo tee tou Huiou tou Theou." Translators have often used their own theology which can drastically change the true intent of the inspired writers of Scriptur. For instance, look up the Greek for "torment" in Rev 20:10. The English robs God of His mercy and goodness in this last act with the lost. What word do you find in the Greek? Have you traced it? Let me know what you find. You will be amazed at the wealth of meaning the translators took from us!

    I have experienced a profound faith from Christ. Only He could say, at the tomb of Lazarus, John 11:42, of the Father, "I know You always hear Me." My faith has grown to know our Father always hears me if He hears it from the Son!

    He is called our Advocate in 1 John 2:1. He defends us before the Father as High Priest, who offers His own life and merits on the sinner's behalf. Heaven has given us the gift of faith, Ephesians 2:8-9, to know, believe and trust ourselves to the High Priest. This is the only way to the Father that pleases Him. We dare not come to Him in our faith. Otherwise, we are entering the Most Holy Place in our own name and dishonor His Holiness. Death waited for anyone who came into the Holy Place except for the High Priest. It is the devils lie telling us we can become as gods!

    Leviticus 16 has also given me further insight into what was required by the nation of Israel as they worshipped God on the Day of Atonement. On who did they place their faith?

    Hi Tony Brother read your commentary and scripturally right on faith is the bridge that spans the casim between the natural man and God that faith is Jesus Christ. When someone says I need more faith not true we were given the faith of Jesus Christ when we were born again. Now over time we will get better in believing action on the scripture and understanding and walk but that is in the category of carrying what the spirit wants us to do. That's why technically there was no spiritual faith in old testament because it says in Galatians before faith came, spiritual faith came on the day of pentecost which is the faith of Jesus Christ. The word pistis could be translated faith or believing there are times when it was translated faith before pentecost when it should have been believing.

    Hello Chris, You are correct about Romans 3:4, I gave a wrong text! Thank you for your comments. Some may read our thinking as a difference in semantics. Time for the Greek. Romans 3:22 reads in the KJV, "Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe." By faith of Jesus Christ in the Greek reads, , "By THE faith of Jesus Christ," or the faith that comes through Him. In Acts 3:16, "The faith which is From Him" is, " " If instead the phrase reads "faith IN Jesus Christ'" it could only mean OUR faith in Jesus Christ. Galatians 2:20 reads in the Greek, , . Translators have often used their own theology which can drastically change the true intent of the inspired writes of Scripture. For instance, look up the Greek for "torment" in Rev 20:10. Tell me the actual word.

    I have experienced a profound faith in Christ.

    Chris, my understanding has given me a freedom of absolute surrender to Christ I never experienced. It certainly does not distract my belief in the gospel. I no longer look at my faith to speak to the Father. I now speak to Him through the faith of Jesus. I never have to say again, "I wish I had stronger faith." I do have it! It is my faith in His faith for me!
  • Chris - In Reply on Romans 3:4 - 3 years ago
    Hello Tony. I think of Ephesians 2:8, "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God". We see here that the "Gift of God" is the whole: Grace & Faith. Both are needed from Him to receive His Salvation: the Gift of Grace & the Gift of Faith.

    However, I couldn't place which verse(s) you were referring to. Both Romans 3:4 & Galatians 2:20, do not reveal what you suggest. Unless you were thinking of Galatians 3:26; Colossians 1:4; Colossians 2:5; & there may be more. I doubt if the apostle intended to infer that this was a faith generated by one towards attaining Christ, rather that the Gift being given & now existing in the believer, from which comes his varied expressions of that faith.
  • Tony Russo on Romans 3:4 - 3 years ago
    The text about faith in Christ is not true to the Greek which is plain to read in the original language. reads, "By the faith of Christ. Nestle, 1904, Westcott and Hort 1881, Scrivener's 1894, Tischendorf, 8th Edition 1872, and many others are clear in translating this verse the same. It is inaccurate and misleading to use a translation that promotes the faith of a believer in place of the faith of Christ. This error is also found in the translation of Galatians 2:20 "And the life I now live by faith in Jesu Christ." This last phrase, by faith in Christ can only mean one thing, it means, I am living my life in Christ by my faith. By THE faith OF Jesu Christ, I now live the life of total surrender by the faith of Christ. Therefore, I do not march and grow toward victory, I now live in Christ in victory. I approach our Father through the faith of Christ. He is our Advocate and Mediator before the Father. Of Him alone did God say, "With Him, I am well pleased." We please the Father when we come to Him in the faith of Christ. Example, A father puts money in a bank for his son. The money is under the son's name. He does not have the money himself but he has access to it from anywhere in the world. In a similar way, the faith we need to save us is not within us. It is found at the right hand of God and we draw on it "in Jesus name." Acts 3:16: "And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all."

    This faith Of Christ takes us to complete dependence on Him through His faith. He offers the secret of Christian victory over the flesh, the world and the devil, His own faith, for us.

    When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgement, and by the spirit of burning.

    And the Lord will create upon every dwelling place of mount Zion, and upon her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night: for upon all the glory shall ne a defence.

    Isaiah 4:4-5

    Then Peter said unto them, Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

    Acts 2:38

    Whom God hath set forth to ne a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forebearance of God;

    Romans 3:25

    Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

    Romans 3:24

    To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he may be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

    Romans 3:26

    Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law;

    Hebrews 10:8

    This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;

    And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.

    Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.

    Having therefore brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,

    By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;

    Hebrews 10:16-20

    To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by remission of their sins,

    Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us,

    Hello Joyjay. No human being, however wicked they may be, can be considered a demon. Demons are spirit beings sent out by Satan, the prince of devils. Those demons can certainly afflict or indwell a person who gives themselves over to them through various means, but every person remains fully human & fully in need to be saved through Jesus Christ.

    You haven't shared about your forefathers or how you may be considering them as demons, so I can't give anymore specifics. Your forefathers will always be related to you no matter how they have lived their lives. You are responsible for your own life & if you have family members, also to care for them, nurture them & lead them to live carefully & responsibly. I don't know your culture, but I would think that a person in any culture will never deny his heritage & his responsibilities to his fellow-man.

    As far as loving your forefathers, that depends on a person's inclination; some pay no heed to any one other than those about them - others, will go to great lengths to prepare (endless) genealogies & retrieve historical records/photos, so as to keep their memories alive. So be free to give love, respect or consideration to your forefathers, if you deem them worthy, but if their lives have been filled with evil, then we can learn to stay far away from their errors, & turn to the One Who promises us forgiveness of our sins, a new abundant life on Earth, & a sure hope of an eternity with Him. And of course, His Name is Jesus Christ, Who came as the Saviour for all men, no matter their religion, country of birth, or their deeds. Jesus gave His Life for you & me, so that we wouldn't have to suffer eternity without God & in everlasting punishment. John 3:16-19; Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23; Romans 10:9, all giving us assurance that when we come to God through His Son, He will forgive & He will accept. Your forefathers may have not heard this Good News - today no one has any excuse. May you receive God's comfort.

    This scripture is really encouraging.

    Galatians 5:14 (KJV)

    For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

    This creates a environment free of Jealousy, hate, and debates etc. all the things that can cause health issues. Also, people will feel this. Show love; people will since this.

    Basic Distinctions between Prophecy and the Mystery (C.R. Stam) - continued:

    8) Prophecy mainly concerns nations as such ( Isaiah 2:4; Ezekiel 37:21-22)

    Rightly Divided ( 2 Timothy 2:15) From "Things That DIFFER!":

    8) The Mystery Concerns individuals ( Romans 10:12-13; 2 Corinthians 5:14-17)

    9) Prophecy concerns blessings, both material and spiritual, on earth ( Isaiah 2:3-4; Isaiah 11:1-9; etc.)

    RDf

    9) The Mystery Concerns "all spiritual blessings in The Heavenlies" ( Ephesians 1:3; Colossians 3:1-3)

    10) Prophecy concerns Christ's Coming to the earth ( Isaiah 59:20; Zechariah 14:4)

    RDf

    10) The Mystery Explains Christ's absence from the earth ( Ephesians 1:20-24; Colossians 3:1-3)

    11) In prophecy, salvation by Grace through faith alone is not contemplated ( Matthew 28:19-20; Matthew 23:1-3; Luke 7:29-30; Mark 16:16; Acts 2:38; James 2:17)

    RDf

    11) Salvation "By GRACE Through faith" Alone lies at The Very Heart Of The Mystery! ( Romans 3:21-26; Romans 4:5; Ephesians 2:8-9)

    12) The proclamation of the prophetic program committed particularly to the twelve ( Matthew 10:5-7; Acts 1:6-8; Acts 3:19-26)

    RDf

    12) The proclamation of The Mystery program committed particularly to Paul ( Ephesians 3:1-3; Ephesians 3:8-9; Colossians 1:24-27)

    13) The prophetic program revealed through many of God's servants Luke 1:70; 2 Peter 1:21)

    13) The Mystery revealed through one man: Paul! ( Galatians 1:1; Galatians 1:11-12; Galatians 2:2; Galatians 2:7; Galatians 2:9; Ephesians 3:2-3)

    14) Old Testament writers frequently did not understand the prophecies made through them ( Daniel 12:8-10; 1 Peter 1:10-12)

    RDf

    14) Paul Both understood And longed that others might understand The Mystery revealed through him ( Ephesians 1:15-23; Ephesians 3:14-21; Colossians 1:9-10; Colossians 2:1-3)

    Lindsey carter,

    The Sabbath is and has always been the seventh day of the week, Constantine made a Sunday law in 321 A.D. The Roman Catholic Church at the Council of Laodicea - 364 A.D, this council was held to stop the Sabbath-keeping tendencies in the Eastern Roman Empire. The Council of Laodicea (Nicolaitans), produced sixty rulings, or canons, covering a broad range of topics. Doctrines other than Sunday were written by them and the penalties for not obeying them that has continued until today.

    The New Testament tells us that trying to seek justification before God by keeping any part of the law automatically makes us responsible to keep the entire law. You will either stand before God and be judged by the law, or you will be established in the righteousness that comes by faith in Jesus Christ. Consider the following verses.

    Read these and show your brother-in-law, ( Romans 3:20-24) ( Romans 14:2-6,13) ( Galatians 3:11-13) ( Colossians 2:11-16) There are more scripture you can find.

    Regardless of what you may believe, man does not have the authority to change any law that God made and Jesus Christ fulfilled, especially how they changed it and the reason it was changed, but you cannot call Sunday the Sabbath. We are not to judge anyone for going to a church on Sunday or any day of the week. We are to worship in spirit regardless of where or what day, hopefully, every day. "Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law".

    God bless,

    Hello, keep in mind that all sin leads to death. Only through Jesus do we have hope for eternal life in heaven. And that doesn't mean it's a pass to commit sin as some assume, but we are to put away the old sinful self and become slaves to righteousness. Doing good is good. Some people falsely claim that doing bad is better than doing good and we know where that comes from. God bless.

    Jesse said: "a non-believer can become a believer and still not be forgiven. A person has to be born of God's Spirit in order to be forgiven and saved. Belief is important, but belief itself does not bring salvation. Receiving Jesus Christ and being born of His Spirit is what saves a person. With that salvation comes forgiveness."? According To Plain/Clear Scriptures?:

    Precious friend, then I must Misunderstand: "Repent, and Believe The Gospel Of The GRACE Of God"? = "Believe On CHRIST, His Death, Burial, and Resurrection, by GRACE Through faith {BELIEF, trust}." ( 1 Corinthians 15:3-4) ( Ephesians 2:5-9)?

    I must Misunderstand "trusting CHRIST" In ( Ephesians 1:12)? Also:

    "But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of The LORD, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and BELIEF of The Truth:" ( 2 Thessalonians 2:13)?

    "Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that BELIEVE..." ( Romans 3:22)? compare ( Romans 4:11) ( Romans 4:24) ( 1 Corinthians 1:21) ( Galatians 3:22) ( Ephesians 1:19) ( Philippians 1:29) ( 1 Thessalonians 1:7) ( 1 Thessalonians 2:13) ( 1 Thessalonians 4:14) ( 2 Thessalonians 1:10)

    Finally IF I BELIEVE, "but sins are NOT forgiven," how is it that I HAVE Life Everlasting, According To ALL The above Plain And Clear Scriptures About "BELIEF"?:

    "Howbeit for this cause I obtained MERCY, that in me first JESUS CHRIST might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter BELIEVE ON HIM to Life Everlasting." ( 1 Timothy 1:16)?

    Upon my BELIEF Of Truth, did not The Holy Spirit Baptize ( 1 Corinthians 12:13) me Into The Body Of CHRIST, God "forgiving my sins," in the twinkling of an eye?

    Now, IF you are referring to "water baptism for the remission of sins" that is altogether

    Another Different Bible study we could pursue, IF you wish...

    Respectfully, ChrisE

    Charity,

    No one is good enough. ROMANS 3:23 "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."

    Pray that God conditions you not to worry. Matthew 6:34 "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."

    Give your troubles to Christ. 1 Peter 5:6-7 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

    God bless!

    Hello Estela. Yes, many people have enquired how a good God can permit so much suffering upon us. If He is so good, shouldn't He step in & put an end to sicknesses, diseases, murders, etc.?

    I think of it this way: if God did put a stop to these things, then they would only be temporary, since every man, woman & child is born a sinner ( Romans 3:23), & because of our sinful condition, all these things come upon us. When Adam & Eve were created, they were sinless, enjoying God's Presence continually, no sickness, in harmony with animal life around them, & would never see death. But once they disobeyed God & sinned, they lost all that perfection, & they had to hide from God (Genesis chapters 2 & 3).

    And ever since, their sinful nature & death was passed upon all of us ( Romans 5:12) & the proof is the way we behave before God & our fellow-man even now. Even the one who murders another is no different to the one who has hate in his heart, according to Jesus ( Matthew 5:21,22). Or the man who cheats on his wife is the same as the one who cheats on his taxes. So all these evil traits that we might have in us are a result of indwelling sin. Yes, God can stop us from doing those evil acts, but evil will always be with us & in our hearts - and this is unacceptable before God.

    What God has done, was to give us a new heart & a new spirit so that we won't do those things that come from within ( Matthew 15:19). If our heart is clean & right before God, we won't do evil & hurt one another and that was why He sent His Son to this Earth to give His Life. Jesus paid the price for our sin, which we couldn't pay, & made us acceptable before God & a clean vessel to be used by Him. So in God's Sight, stopping the murder of someone doesn't fix the problem of murder: murder will always happen, whether against someone or in our hearts. The solution to stop them is that they be changed on the inside. But most people refuse His salvation & so evil will continue with so much suffering.

    Being born again is very simple....First we must realize that all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God....

    Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

    Romans 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

    Sin is anything that goes against God's standards and rules...this goes from lying to thinking bad thoughts...to murder and sexual perversions..ect... God says there is a price for these sins...and that price is death...and not just our bodies dying because our bodies are only temporal on this earth...but our SOULS are eternal...so this death God speaks of is in terms of ones soul to be eternally separated from the God that created us in His image..SO Hell is the punishment for sin...

    Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

    BUT God!! Sent Jesus to pay our sin debt and it is a free gift to any that believe that Jesus died, rose, and is now at the Right Hand of the Father we also can live eternally with God..but we MUST KNOW we are sinners!! And just like a child that does something wrong seeks to be forgiven...we must seek the same from God through Jesus...with FAITH!!

    Romans 10:9-10

    That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

    For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

    Confess we KNOW Jesus as our Saviour!! Believe in our hearts we are sinful...but God loves us enough to have mercy on us...believe God raised Jesus up...and He WILL raise His children up as well...Jesus defeated death...God raised Him from the grave! He can give us rebirth!! IF we will just accept it! Praying God give you wisdom and understanding in this if you have never been born again!
