it is one of Paul best book. in my opinion that Paul was thinking about Jesus, dying on the cross that we lived under grace that Jesus blood had set us free, free indeed. Jesus death we have been for give of our sin and healing of the body. This prevalent in the Bible which states many time that by his stripes his stripes we are healed. This was done to three million Jews when night ha before le

Did you mean to say we are upheld by the power of the enemy in the first paragraph.

What was the sin of Adam which Paul references that has doomed many to condemnation? He believed his God given wife, Eve, who was seduced by Satan. This paradigm is not changed by Jesus! It obviously still exists today, this world being overwhelmed by sinful inhabitants. But the good news is that God had strengthened his argument by sending his beloved Son in his stead to plead with us of God

How long will ye imagine mischief against a man? ye shall be slain all of you: as a bowing wall shall ye be, and as a tottering fence. Arise, O LORD, in thine anger, lift up thyself because of the rage of mine enemies: and awake for me to the judgment that thou hast commanded.

Very powerful scripture, displaying the mind of an infinite God, who before the fall of Man already had himself in mind to redeem Man back to Himself whom He created in His image and like likeness, yet without sin, He became sin for us all by His Grace towards us. The innocent before the fall

For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. Romans 5:19, we have death in the world because of Adam disobedience, but Jesus Christ will redeem us back from the curse. By the way, death is the devil Hebrew 2:14 and he will be last to be destroyed. We are in good hands with Jesus. Glory be to God almighty for our Salvation. .....

In Romans 5:19, For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. This is talking about by Adam, we were made sinners, but by being obedient to Jesus we are made righteous.

" For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law. Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come. But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many. And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification. For if by one man's offence death reigned by one much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ. Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound: That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 5:13-21

This great salvation, this genuine salvation is nothing but the Gospel (Good News) of Christ. The death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord and Savior.
Romans 5:8, "But God commendeth His love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Read Romans 10:9-13. "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."

Vs.13 is an interesting fact. It shows that sin was always there, but unless there was a law , that it could not be charged against us. So for Adam and Eve, they had but one law, and broke that law resulting in sin. They could have been doing other sins, but until there was a law against it they could not be charged. I.e. it was only after they ate the fruit that they became ashamed of their nakedness Very interesting scripture.

This is so confusing to me. Because of Adams sin, we are born in iniquity and shaped in sin. Because Christ shed his blood, we are no more sin but reconciled. OK but what did Adams sin, do to us? What did Christ death do to us. Did it change something physically? We commit sin after Adam. So what in Christ death makes us no longer sinners? What has changed? I've been born again and was baptized with the Holy Spirit. The only thing that changed in me was that I now knew that Jesus was the son of God. Yes, I had some small spiritual gifts as I'm sure we all do in the spirit. Yes, I've heard God speak. BUT, I still have anger, negative thoughts, people I dont like etc. Nothing really has changed. What makes me saved?

This Galatians 5:4 is a comparison between the two remedies for sin. One is under the old dispensation law and the other under the new dispensation grace . The falling away from grace means that a returning to the keeping of the law for justification before God is in fact a moving away from Grace, which is the only acceptable method for righteousness before God. Please not that I submitted this comment earlier, but inadvertently cited Romans 5:4 instead of Galatians 5:4. Kindly excuse the error.

Being strong willed, God has been longsuffering - still have a long ways to go! Thank God that God's righteousness for us is a gift through the abundance of Grace! Romans 5:17 KJV For if by one man's offence death reigned by one much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ. God is working with us to Sanctify us and He will finish that work until the day of Jesus Christ! Philippians 1:6 KJV Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: What really helps is to take Romans 12:1-2 seriously everyday and to take on the challenge of letting the Holy Spirit, tempered with Scripture and Prayer, guide you every moment of every day. One may never reach that standard, but God knows your willingness and your heart and that is what Matters to Him most!

Good works alone will not get us to heaven, in fact works has nothing to do with salvation. We are saved by God's grace alone. Salvation is a free gift from the Lord, and our works after that are our choice-though God does expect us to live by the book. Because of our sin, we are separated from God. For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23 The Penalty for our sin is death. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23 The penalty for our sin was paid by Jesus Christ! But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8 If we repent of our sin, then confess and trust Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we will be saved from our sins! For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:13 ...if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Romans 10:9,10

5:20 is telling us that there is a spirit of rebellion that is associated with the sinful nature in human that always want to rebel against laws. So when the law came, eventhough we may try to obey, but that spirit will always force you to disobey, and when you do the law will condemned you

JEHOVAH HASHOPET The Lord the Judge. Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin and so death passed upon all men, for all have sinned. Adams sin brought the death penalty upon all men, but that penalty was paid in full. Over some 2000 years ago when Jesus was nailed to the cross and became sin for us, that we might be made the rghteousness of God in Him II Corinthians 5:21 .
