this chapter 6 gives you the strength to overcome the sin. everybody should read this chapter daily. specially verses two to verse seven everybody should read in the family prayer time. very encouraging words. Such family will have peace for sure.

good romans 6 as is all of romans saying we are the righteousness of god in christ jesus rom. 6 22and 23 made free from sin and have become fruit unto holiness. for the wages of sin is death if we are sinners saved by grace show me not what you believe

This verse teaches us of our union with Christ. Cf Baptized into Moses baptized into Christ.

I guess if I can best describe what God was conveying through paul was the blood bought believe has to have a conscious mind not to obey sin not by his own strenght but by the grace of God through the new nature, of regeneration the enables the convert to live in such a way that in the past he could not. causing not only a agonizing over sin but power to over come it by God 's grace that we cannot walk persumptuously in this life. God gives us two roads life and death Deuteronomy 30 19 . If we reject Jesus and choose to walk in the pathway of unrighteousness, then the payment is death. God says why die before your time? Sin is sending people to an early grave and robbing people of true joy and peace. But then, after the physical death, will be that eternal death which is in hell. But, those who choose the right road, the road of Jesus Christ, who is the way, the truth and the liffe, they will experience joy unspeakable, full of glory. Life will be joyous and peaceful when we walk with the Lord. Then, after this life is over, we are guaranteed eternal salvation to be with God forever and ever. Amen

God has made a way through Jesus Christ that sin should not have dominion over us me Jesus conquered death through the cross. Praise God through Jesus Christ I do not have to sin any longer I have eternal life through Jesus Christ my Lord.

I like the two extremes in this verse. Wages And death Gift and life, it says it all.

There is a QUESTION THAT EVEN GOD CANNOT ANSWER, or will not answer. It is in Romans 6 23. Paraphrased, "how can we escape if we neglect so great, SO GREAT a salvation? ". Ponder that! Numerically, in the Bible, 6 denotes sin. Numerically 23 means death. You think this is an accident?

Jake, the scripture is referring to both water baptism and baptism of the Spirit. Acts 2 38 says Repent and be baptized, everyone of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. In order for our sins to be truly remitted. We must be baptized with water. Many do not believe this. If one doesn 't believe this than one is calling God a liar.

Michael, I think you are interpreting death from an earthly perspective from what you have experienced about the idea of death. If I interpreted life from this same perspective then I would believe that all life, at some point, must end. Just as there is a spiritual eternal life, there is also an eternal death.

Michael, I can 't say I agree with you. However, I think I understand why you re interpreting verse 7 to mean there is no eternal fire as you put it. You ve got to understand that verse 7 is for the true believers in Christ Jesus. Because when we continue reading on into verse 8 we understand that the dead verse 7 is referring to are the dead with Christ, or those who die believing in Christ, Not those who reject Christ. So this verse doesn t negate any doctrine about eternal fire or hell at all. Also, believers and non believers, will suffer at least bodily death unless the rapture happens and those whose names are not written in the book of life will be cast into the lake of fire, which is called the second death. See Revelation chapter 20. Plus, in Mark Chapter 9 43 47, I believe Jesus is placing about as much emphasis on hell being a real and eternal place as we need. When you read it, notice how He keeps repeating himself in order to make his point very clear.

Romans 6 6 sounds more like death to sin rather than death to desires Galatians 5 24 would relate more to death unto our own desires 24 And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with it s passions and desires

I Love Romans The whole book This chapter to me speaks a love that is so huge That in all our sin God still loves us He set us apart sanctified wooo Its more of a choice on our part if we love God we know he loves us we must CHOOSE to be obedient to him his word Its for sure a heart thing

This scripture just made it clear that after giving our lives to the Lord Jesus Christ and baptism which signifies death with Christ and alive with resurrection We have no business with sin and holiness with fruit lets do away with sin
