I love the word of God!
"God word is true, and no other like him. Only one God, "God of Israel, and now we are God people, because we seek him to be our God; and put our faith, and trust in the Lord and believes in him. (Jesus Christ.)

This verse is a sad reality. No one has been able to escape being a slave to sin and this leads to us all receiving what sin pays and that is death. The only hope that we have is based on God's undeserved kindness that he willingly gave us in the sacrifice of his Son, Jesus Christ. When we really take time to meditate and think about what God has done for us, we should really be grateful and show our gratitude by the way we live our lives.

Its easy to see how well all the verses harmonize together. Mark 16:16, He who believes and is baptized shall be saved... Acts 2:38 And Peter said unto them repent and be baptized everyoneof you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins..... Romans 6:1-6 says we are "Buried with him by baptism into death." But then you get to verses like Eph. 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith... That is excatly right. Faith leads us to repentance. We confess Christ because of our faith. Romans 10:9 Faith makes us do all these things. We are buried with him in baptism and raised THROUGH FAITH. Col 2:12

For us to get rid of the manifestation of the flesh, we must deal with the flesh itself, not just the individual manifestations. God abhors the old nature, therefore we should deny ourselves and carry the cross to follow our master Jesus Christ.

(Verse 15) "So since God's grace has set us free from the law, does this mean we can go on sinning?" It is basic and fundamental that we believe that Jesus is God. John 1:1:"... And the Word was God." John 8:24: "For unless you believe that I am who I say I am, you will die in your sins." This is so because it is the death of Jesus as God that sets us free. Paul makes this plain in 1 Timothy 2:3 when he referrs to Jesus as "God our Savior."

That is why good preaching is important. Because if we do not tell the people the truth, they will never know the real Jesus, and never come to salvation!

(Verse 12)"Do not let sin control the way you live; do not give in to its lustful desires." This means that after having been set free from sin, and we choose to continue in it, we place ourselves back under sin's control. That is, we loose our salvation. Hebrews 6:4 says that it is impossible to restore to faith those who have once been enlightened.

So even with our new nature, our sin nature is still with us. God will not take it away. That is, he leaves it in us to always remind us of what we have been saved from. Otherwise, we would soon forget, and think that we were always good. Or that we no longer need to be thankful for Christ saving us. This means that we have to fight against it every day. But with God's spirit we can win the fight. So as Paul says in Romans 7:25, "I thank God, the answer is in Jesus Christ our Lord."

(Verse 2) "Since we have died to sin." This means that if we are dead, legeally, we are no longer under sin's control. That is, sin has done its job and killed us. But how did we die? We died and were buried with Christ. Baptism pictures this. Going under the water pictures our dying with Christ to our old way of life, and coming up out of the water pictures Christ giving us a new way of life after we have been saved.

(Verse 5) "Since we have been united with him in his death, we will also be raised as he was." That is, Christ was our stand in. So when he died, in the eyes of the law we died, too. That is what Paul means by "our old sinful selves were crucified with Christ." So again, we are no longer slaves to sin because our old crucified self is dead. And by the power of God, a new self has taken its place.

So we should consider the old me dead, and live for God through the new me. And all of this came about by God's grace-his willingness to give us something we did not deserve.

This p***age deals with what the world really needs to grab hold today. We are responsible for our actions and our choices. To live for Christ is a choice that we make and learning what we must live by His guidance and His words. Sin also is a choice and we need to know that it separates us from Christ. Separation is not the place we want to be if we truly love the Lord. Choose ye this day whom you will serve.

Titus 3:5"Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;"
The washing of--regeneration-(newness of life)-which found in Romans 6:4 "Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should ---walk in newness of life." Newness of life which is regeneration--our life is REGENERATED through water baptism.
Romans 6:5 "For if we have been planted (buried, or baptized) together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:"

Romans 6:6 "Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin". It's only by water baptism( in Jesus name)can we have a regenerated life, a newness of life. Water baptism destroys the OLD MAN of sin.

Romans 6:77For he that is dead is freed from sin.

My comment comes from versuses 5-10 of this chapter: Now from what was said in versuses 5-10 we can clearly see that the Law is not our savior; but our mirror, So we can not go around thinking that we our saved because we obey the whole law; NO; For Ephesians 2:8-9 says, "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:(9)Not of works, lest any man should boast. .........So if we where saved by our obedience to the Law, then we could judge all those who don't; Which is what alot of us do, because alot of us still believe subconsciously, that we our saved because of our obedience to the Law.... But don't get it twisted; For Romans 6:23 says,(23)"For the wages of sin is death"... So the Law exposses sin, and is the reason why you might be missing out on things in life; But not the reason that God has excepted, or not excepted you as one of his own. CHILDREN; IT'S ALL ABOUT LOVE, AND EVERYTHING ESLE WILL FOLLOW. So please strive for LOVE!

That the lord need you to serve him an him only theres only one God and the son jesus our lord0and saviour that died for our sins and we should acknowledge him all the day long.

i think to anybody or preacher who tells the people that you cant live without sin put jesus back on the cross again because he came to destroy the work of sin and he did just that with his life and blood ...

Comments on Galatians 5:18 “But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law”.
We know from 1John 3:4 that “sin is the transgression of the law”. When Christ died, “he did away with the Law” (the Old Covenant), and we entered a New Covenant ( Jeremiah 31:31, Hebrews 8:8). Now we are under Grace ( Romans 6:14).
So, let me see if I understand this “process of salvation” correctly: (1) I hear the Word of God which tells me that He loves me ( John 3:16), and that He died for me though I broke no Law. (2) I accept that I am a sinner, even though the Law that would have condemned me does not exist anymore. (3) I receive Christ as my personal Savior, Who saved me from sins that actually don’t exist, since I was born after Christ died and made the Law obsolete and of non-effect. (4) I get baptized and receive the Holy Spirit, and I am no longer under the Law, which was nailed to the cross. (5) Having received the Holy Spirit, I am now under grace. I am free from the Law, and basically I can do anything I want, since there is no more Law to condemn me. (6) Yes, it would be nice to express the fruits of the spirit: love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance etc. (verses 22, 23); but these are optional, “because against such there is no law”.
Now, do the statements 1-6 make any sense? I know that many Christians think so. But, let’s see: Perhaps they would have made sense if only Apostle Paul hadn’t mentioned the works of the flesh: “Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like (and the list goes on): of the which … I have also told you in time past, that THEY WHICH DO SUCH THINGS SHALL NOT INHERIT THE KINGDOM OF GOD” (verses 19-21)… Hey, what happened to grace? We’ve already established that I can’t keep the Law because the flesh is against the spirit ( Galatians 5:17). Even Apostle Paul says: “For the good that I would, I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do” ( Romans 7:19). What’s going on here? The sins mentioned above are transgressions of the Moral Laws that have been “abolished, nailed to the cross, gone”. Now you tell me that I can’t inherit the Kingdom of God with all that love, sacrifice and grace? It seems to me that Apostle Paul is contradicting himself: or, is he? This chapter teaches that the Moral Laws were not included with the rest of the Mosaic Laws that ended at the cross, and that we still have to keep them. They were in effect when you and I were born, and are in effect today: we broke them, and this is why you and I are sinners in need of Christ’s forgiveness and redemption. But for sure, in this letter to Galatians Apostle Paul is talking about circumcision and other Ceremonial Laws fulfilled by Christ (verses 2, 3, 6, 11, 13). You just can’t have it both ways! Brother R.R. came up with a “good excuse”: I can’t memorize the Ten Commandments; therefore I don’t need to keep them. But Apostle Paul disagrees; he says: “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me” ( Philippians 4:13). Amen.

Taking grace for granted is the attitude of most Christian which shouldn’t be, when we say we are born again we should totally surrender our life to Christ in all our ways, and we all find it easy doing his will with the help of the holy spirit.

Continue---Baptism must be in the name of Jesus!! It's not good enough to use the titles Father, Son and Holy Ghost again I say you have to use the name not his titles, for example I cannot write anyone a check in the name of mother, daughter and wife because I have to apply the name. Romans 6:1-6 which is death, burial and the resurrection.

Romans 6 is one of my all time favourite bible chapters. It is so powerful. It should set your heart pounding. Romans 6 is about ceasing from sin. It may be about ending the double life we can lead. Paul says v7 "he that is dead is freed from sin" (also v18, v22). Pretty clear isn't it? The old man (natural sinful nature by birth) is crucified with him,v6 that the body of sin might be destroyed. Yes Jesus died that we might have eternal life, v23, but by New Birth we can be freed from sin now. We no longer need to be slaves to sin because the natural (nature of sin) has been destroyed by Christ's death and resurrection. This was the whole point of Christ's death, to defeat sin so that we might live. Now! Eternal Life is a continuation of this in a new body. Jesus sent us the Holy Spirit to make this possible. Without receiving the Holy Spirit personally, being freed from sin is impossible.

I don't believe in adding my opinion to the Word of God, rather accepting it and obey it all. There is a command to teach nations and baptizing them ( Acts 2:38, Acts 8:16, Acts 10:48, Acts 19:5, Acts 22:16, Romans 6:3-5), and even in 1 Corinthians 1:13-15 and Colossians 3:17 that all we do in word or deed should be in the name of Lord Jesus. To me, it is not about what I think, it is about obeying the Word.

I agree with Paul here, should we continue in sin that grace may abound? God forbid it; why should we who are dead to sin live any longer therein? Or are you not dead to sin? It’s simple either you’re lost or saved in or out, with Christ or against Him which to me is a really scary thought. There was a study that said the two worst ways to die were to drown or burn to death and the Bible calls hell a lake of fire, in hell you will never die you will just feel the pain of dying forever. I'm not trying to make you doubt if you’re saved or not just wanting to make sure you know and if you’re not give yourself to the Lord now; tomorrow may be too late. Repent of your sin and turn from your wicked ways ask for the Lord’s forgiveness, after you’re saved you need to get baptized to symbolize that you are washed from your sin and have given yourself over to Christ. Once you've made the decision you can be dead to sin and remember not to live any longer therein. Now I'm going to close with this: the Lord Jesus Christ loves you but hates your sin so remember to live no longer therein.

If baptism isn't important to be saved then why does Christ say it is so often in the scriptures? Because it is very important.

On how to get saved:
1. You make a statement that a person must accept Jesus Christ in baptism to be saved in order to go to heaven;
2. If this is a reference that water baptism is part of a person’s being born again then I must state that the scriptures do not support this belief;
3. In the church age (age of grace), water baptism is never connected to salvation;
4. The apostle Paul (apostle to gentiles) says in 1 Corinthians 1:17 that Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect;
5. So you can determine that water baptism is not part of the gospel message which is the death, burial, and resurrection ( 1 Corinthians 15:1-4), Jesus baptized no one ( John 4:2);
6. When a person accepts Jesus Christ as his/her saviour, at that moment they are baptized (filled) in with the holy spirit (ghost);
7. The word baptism means to be immerse (not sprinkled or water poured over the head) and is called believer’s baptism, because it represents the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ ( Romans 6:1-6), which is what happens to a person spiritually at the time we receive Jesus Christ as our savior;
8. Born again believers get baptized because they are saved, not to get saved;
9. Christians are baptized in water as act of public display of their faith they received from him ( Hebrews 12:2),and they are making an open commitment to serve and obey Jesus according to the scriptures.

Baptism plays a very real part in our salvation. Jesus spoke in John 3:3-8 of the new birth (being born again) said that we must be born again of Water and of the Spirit. Water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ and the infilling of the Holy Ghost ( Acts 2:1-4). We must Repent (die to sin) we must be baptized in Jesus' name (burial, likened to Jesus, Romans 6:4) and then Receive the Holy Ghost ( Acts 2:1-4; 10:44-47). There is the plan... Thank God I followed it!

The whore of Babylon is the Catholic Church. Her daughters are the churches that left the Catholic Church but kept many of its pagan rituals it adopted. Sunday worship Easter, Christmas to name the most recognized. The bible proves the real day Jesus died, the month he was born, and day he rose. It isn't Good Friday, Sunday or December. And nowhere in the Bible is Sunday hallowed and commanded to be kept holy and rested on. These are the traditions of man and Jesus warns us about them in Mark 7:6-9 and 13. And the fourth commandment is the commandment he says is forsaken. Even Martin Luther who was taught as a catholic but called them the whore of Babylon. He even recognized the true Sabbath but didn't want to go through the hassle of changing the status quo. Not surprising seeing as the Catholics were killing Christians that kept the true Sabbath. They did this for 1260 years. This period is known as the dark ages. For anyone that wants to see the proof, there are articles with biblical scripture backed with secular history and archeological proofs. Jesus and Paul warned of the false teachers and christs. The Bereans read the Old Testament scriptures to prove what Paul was teaching in the synagogues on the Sabbath. Because there was no New Testament then. The Bible says that He was "without sin" ( Hebrews 4:15). And "sin IS the transgression of the law" ( 1 John 3:4, KJV). So we know that Jesus never transgressed God's law-including the fourth commandment about keeping the Sabbath holy. If Jesus had broken the Sabbath, He would have earned the wages of sin-death ( Romans 6:23), and could not have become our Savior. It is clear, then, that Jesus never broke even the least of God's commandments, nor taught men to do so. On the contrary, He said, "I have KEPT My Father's commandments" ( John 15:10). Furthermore, at the very beginning of His ministry, Jesus set the standard for what would be His lifelong example: "So He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. And as His CUSTOM was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read" ( Luke 4:16). Again, in Luke 13:10, we read, "Now He was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath." The Law of Moses to this day is read in the synagogues. So don't fall for the deception it was nailed to the cross. The reason Jesus called the Pharisees sons of Satan they had added over 60 laws to the Sabbath day not ordered by God. These laws were nailed to the cross along with ceremonial laws like circumcision mentioned in acts.. That is the leaven Jesus tells us not to listen to. Acts 15:20, We should instead write a letter, instructing them to abstain from four things: first, things associated with idol worship; second, sexual immorality; third, food killed by strangling; and fourth, blood. Verse 21, My reason for these four exceptions is that in every city there are Jewish communities where, for generations, the laws of Moses have been proclaimed; and on every Sabbath, Moses is read in synagogues everywhere. Again the Sabbath is expected to be kept by the gentiles to hear the laws of Moses. So the apostles don't think the law was nailed to the cross.
