    Hi Elaine,

I cannot even begin to understand the pain you must feel. I will be praying for you and your husband. I want you to remind you of the hope you have through the Lord Jesus Christ. Revelation 21:4

"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

We live in a fallen creation because of sin. While we may not understand everything that happens, God wants us to put our trust in Him. God is always faithful, so we can always depend on Him no matter the situation.

God never promises that this life will be easy, but we have hope. Hope through Christ.

Romans 8:18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us."

Elaine, I want you to know that you're not alone. Psalms 46 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

Seek comfort through the Lord, He loves you and wants to help.

Please let me know if there's anything I could do for you. We are here for you.

    Great reply Ronald.

I believe all through the scripture it supports the view the Holyspirit empowers the believer and as the scriptures you pointed out it took the dwelling of the Holyspirit to perform in them to minister under this new covenant. You see it in the life of Peter here in Luke 22:32. When was Peter strengthened and start to perform? It's obvious in scripture after he was empowered. Christ was preaching his death and resurrection, but they couldn't receive it. In Luke 18:31-34. he declared to them what the Prophets has written, and they still couldn't grasp it because it hidden from them.

Also, in John 16:12-14. seems to suggest the same thing. The preaching of the Cross was hidden from their eyes, and it seems Paul is mentioning the same thing throughout his epistles speaking of the natural man. 1 Corinthians 2:7-14.

The Holyspirirt is essential for understand and walk. Once he reveals his truth to us they're written on our hearts it takes him to exercise those truths in us and perfect our walk. we respond to the truth by the power of the Holyspirit, likewise the Apostles.

For it is God which worketh in you both to "will" and to do of his good pleasure. Philippians 2:13.

It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. John 6:63.

The bible is not like our textbooks in school, what we have here has to be revealed to you, 1 Corinthians 1:18-21.

    Also: 1 Corinthians 1:26-31.

You see the Holyspirits power over the flesh in Romans 8:1-14.

You see the Holyspirirt working in us through baptism given us power to cease from sin in Romans 6:1-18.

You see the contrast of the two natures in Romans 7:1-6. and so on. Here we see the contrast of what we had when we were under the law compared to what we have in Christ.

    God bless.

God is good all the time. Tribulations in life is part of what we go through as Christians. Many things do not seem fair at times but Romans 8:28 states that all things work together for those that love him. I too also thought that being a Christian was a life of no trials. I was so wrong, I started to think of many faithful servants in scripture that were faced with many trials and GOD always provided them with the wisdom and guidance to be able to go through the trial they were facing. If Jesus himself was persecuted then what makes us sinners not targets. Before accepting Christ in my life I did not have many challenges like I do today. In fact, when I accepted Christ in my life I have faced many obstacles that has made me realize that the enemy will attack us believers more since he knows we know the truth. At the end his plan is to steal, destroy, and kill. We know his end game therefore we know his character never changes! Amen to Jesus for ever and ever!!!!

I like all these. I pray for the Lord to give you His strength.

1 Thessalonians 4:14 - For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so THEM ALSO which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him

John 11:25 - Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:

Psalms 116:15 - Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints

1 Thessalonians 4:13 - But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

Romans 8:28 - And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Romans 6:23 ..but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

John 3:16 - For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Revelation 21:3 - And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

Romans 14:8 - For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, WE ARE the Lord's.

John 11:23 - Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again.

Psalms 23:1-6 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. (Read More...)

1 Thessalonians 5:23 - And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Corinthians 15:51 - Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all SLEEP, but we shall all be changed.

    Hi Louis.

For anyone to come in the presence of God he has to be perfect, Perhaps this is why no one has come in the presence of God and lived. That is what Christ came to through the work on the cross. Hebrews 10:12-17.

It is the spirit that work in you after conversion. Philippians 2:13. Philippians 1:6.

We are to be in agreement with the spirit and bare the fruit produced by the vine. John 15:1-8.

Anything that is done in the flesh and not through the influence of the spirit is not accepted, Your works will be tried by fire. 1 Corinthians 3:11-17.

That which is done in your own strength lacks the ability and authenticity to please God, but the spirit gives life to this fleshly nature captured in these sinful bodies. Romans 8:5-14.

It is important for a Christian to not attempt to ad to the finish work on the cross. ( We should acknowledge the works we do adds nothing to your salvation, that's been taken care of you can't loose it.)

In our walk we will stumble: 1 John 2:1. 1 John 1:7-10. Let's not loose sight of Philippians 1:6.

    God bless.

    Dear "Toby Calderon".

Sad to hear that you have contracted a serious illness. We put it on Jesus right away. Romans 8 contains some wonderful words.

And you should know: To escape death, you have only one choice. In peace, i tell you that you must now confess that Jesus is Lord in your life.

Thank Jesus from the bottom of your heart loud and clear! Confess with your mouth at once.

Everyone who reads these words of yours will also lift you up to God in prayer.

Romans 8: 1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

Thank You that You Lord have cleansed all the disease in Your Holy Name Jesus Christ. You Are the Majesty Forever. And has borne all our sins on Calvary's cross. Your Holy Blood cleanses us from all the spirit of bondage and the spirit of sickness! Return disease liver and pancreas from Toby Calderon which you came and never return, In the Holy Name of Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit binds you in the deepest darkness, forever, Amen in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ. For in Your Name we can invoke salvation and freedom, And ask what we want and we will get it, in His Holy Name Jesus Kristus Amen.

Dear Mary, if you are a born-again believer in Christ, He hears your prayer. Sometimes we have to be patient and wait upon Him.

1 John 5:14-15 - And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:

Psalm 56:3 - Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You.

Psalms 46:10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28

2 Timothy 1:12 - for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.

    God bless you, Mary!

    Hi Keith.

Great Question, Perhaps because all three of the God head contributed to our new birth.

    1) The Father called you.

    2 Timothy 1:9.

    2) The son bought us.

    Galatians 3:13.

    3) The spirit Quickened us.

    Romans 8:11.

What we have hidden here is the trinity being taught.

In Acts 2:24. it notes the Father raised him from the dead.

In John 10:17-18. Jesus raises himself.

In Romans 8:11. It's the Holyspirit.

    These 3 are one.

through baptism ww are one with them.

    Ephesians 4:4-6. There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;

One Lord, one faith, one baptism,

One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

John 14:17-23. Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.

At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.

He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?

Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

    God bless.

Hi Alex N; glad to hear from you again, this subject is one of great depth concerning the kingdom, perhaps I understand this doctrine differently than you do as the first dispensation and manifestation of the kingdom has happened already. When we were born again we enter the kingdom John 3:5 The Apostle Paul taught we were translated from darkness into the kingdom of Christ, which I believe refers unto our spirit alone in Colossians 1:13 Again we already received the kingdom in Hebrews 12:28 These truths cannot be denied, Yet we look forward to the millennial kingdom of God as in Revelation 20:4 knowing this kingdom of Christ will come as you mentioned in Revelation 12:10 which indicates the middle of the seven year tribulation. Now we differ as I believe the man child are the sons of God, Christians who are mature, being led by the Holy Ghost, as in Romans 8:14 I cannot accept the man child to be the Holy Ghost, for the man child is raptured in Rev. 12:5-6 in the middle of the tribulation, yet the bible affirms constantly the Holy Ghost is here on earth working in the 144,000 the two witnesses, and all children of God during the tribulation, and such like. I do not interpret the woman as humanity, like you do, as the woman to me is the church of Jesus Christ as in Rev. 12:17 she has the testimony of Christ and keeps commandments, Israel does not have these things, and the world does not have these things either, only the church can have these things. Remember the woman is clothed with the sun, a metaphor for the gospel, the moon under her feet, meaning to have power over Satan and all fallen angels, which only the church has in the name of Jesus Christ. You are right to call the city New Jerusalem the kingdom of heaven, as this kingdom of God comes after the millennial kingdom of Christ, yet it is the final manifestation of the kingdom of heaven. I will ask therefore, have you taken into account, not all Christians will make it into the kingdom. Mat.7:21

    A comforting verse:

Romans 8:28 "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."

My condolences for your lose, If you're getting back into reading the bible, I recommend Job as you could relate and find comfort in God's words in there.

But since you asked for new testament, I recommend starting at Revelation Chapter 17 and going all the way to the end (which is like 5 chapters). As you get to the end, you'll see the bright future and promises Christians have.

Hi Diana. I would say that a 'gay' person would be saved as any other sinner. First, to acknowledge that they are sinners like we all are - that a homosexual lifestyle is sin & unacceptable to God; then, to come to the foot of the Cross gazing upon the Holy One of God Who sacrificed His Life to make them clean & whole again. When we truly repent of our sin & old ways, pursuing after sinful thoughts & acts, then the Lord forgives & accepts us. Isaiah 55:7: "Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon." And that pardon is fully realized through His Son Who made it possible for all who turn to Him in faith & love.

And through the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives, our desires & lusts also change or removed when we wholly look to Him for power & deliverance. That is the chief work of God's Spirit: to conform us each day to the Image of Jesus ( Romans 8:29:

"For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren." Healing of mind, spirit & sometimes body begin to happen. Desires for same gender intimacy will fade away, with power to live a different lifestyle & for the Glory of God. The road may not be easy at first, but the Lord Who saves completely also has the Power to bring healing to sin-affected minds who now desire to only serve Him.

Donna, You are right. We cannot expect to have comfortable, trouble free lives when living for Jesus. He will allow us to be "sifted" and "refined". Remembering that He is doing such things to make us more like Him can helps us endure with a heart open for correction, discipline, and maturation.

Hello, Isaiah Abbise! The Scripture you quoted is Acts 2:17 "And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams," the Apostle Peter is quoting Joal 2:28, Joal having prophesized the Pentecost when Jesus would send the Holy Spirit. If you are born again, the Holy Spirit is given at the moment of salvation ( Ephesians 1:13). Galatians 3:2. This is in contrast to the filling of the Spirit referred to in Ephesians 5:18. We should be so completely yielded to the Holy Spirit that He can possess us fully and, in that sense, fill us. Romans 8:9. God bless you!

    Hello,

    1. Yes I believe in some ways our faith may be considered more complicated because they being with Jesus " physically " John 3:12, John 14:11, yet scripture says : 2 Chronicles 20:20, we have so many accumulated testimonies, prophecy fulfilled, the written WORD of GOD from many generations past in many ways we have all that to help build upon our faith. Then we have personal experiences & witness of miraculous events in our present days & years. I believe it's powerful to see the biblical text, New & Old Tstm & imagine the future with the stacked testimonies & understanding time accumulates more information. When the days of tribulation come the stacked accounts with all scripture will be that much bigger. GOD is amazing. I realized the other day the wealth of faith building information at our reach. I told a young man, "Yes, these days are difficult but we have so much to draw from". & GOD in HIS infinite wisdom gives each generation what they need. Romans 10:17, John 20:29,

    2. Luke 23:43, I guess it applies to today to yes prove "nothing is impossible with GOD" Luke 1:37, & possibly to encourage us that it's not too late to repent, in dying moment.

Next. (?) Interesting observation. Matthew 4:12, Matthew 23:37, GOD gives people many chances to do good. Mark 6:20, Mark 6:19-31, read though, Mark 6:32-46, did Jesus even take time to mourn? It seems HE went to take a moment, yet compassion moved HIM to minister.

    At 1st read I had thought you asked about Peter & Paul comparison of Peter released & Paul was not, also same "(charges) Acts 12:5-17, Acts 21:30-40, - Acts 22, - Acts 23, - Acts 24, - Acts 25, - Acts 26, - Acts 27,-, Acts 28,

My emotion would want to say "all chains are evil" however Mark 5:3-20, Jude 1:6, 2 Peter 2:4,

GOD uses all for good , Psalms 105:17-25, Romans 8:28-30, while Paul was in prison he wrote letters that became an important part of our HOLY Bible today.

    3. James 1:5-8,

    Hope this helps

    Natural man.

    Part 2 of 2.

In1 Corinthians 2, Paul uses the wordnaturalto refer to someone still in his original (sinful) state. The Greek wordpsuchikos("natural") can be defined as "animal as opposed to "spiritual." Natural men are those who are occupied with the things of this material world to the exclusion of the things of God. They are led by instinct rather than by the Spirit of God. They intuitively choose sin over righteousness. They are the "pagans" Jesus refers to inMatthew 6:32who only seek after the things of this world.

The supernatural work of God is to change the natural man into a spiritual one. When a person trusts Christ, God exchanges what is natural (received from Adam) for what is spiritual (received from Christ). "As in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive" ( 1 Corinthians 15:22). The Christian life is, therefore, a supernatural one. We do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit ( Romans 8:1).

Another gem from J vernon mcgee.

    God bless.

    Part 5 of 6.

    Powerless Sanctification

Now Paul shows inRomans 7that you and I cannot be obedient in our own strength. It is powerless sanctification. There are two great truths that come out of this. The first one is:

For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) dwelleth no good thing....( Romans 7:18)

You and I have nothing good in our flesh. The old nature can never do anything that is pleasing to God. The fact of the matter is, Paul says,

Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, neither, indeed, can be.( Romans 8:7)

You and I have an old nature - even if you are redeemed you have that old nature - and it will be with you until your dying day. That old nature is in rebellion against God. For instance, sometimes you don't want to hear the teaching of the Word of God, you just have to somehow bring yourself to it. It is amazing what that old nature can think of to rebel against God. It hates the Word of God; it doesn't love to pray. That old nature is in rebellion against Almighty God. Did you ever have those feelings?

But if you are a believer, you have a new nature, and Paul says this concerning it:

...For to will is present with me, but how to perform that which is good I find not.( Romans 7:18)

Paul found out that there was no good in his old nature and that there was no power in his new nature.

    Sanctification

    part 6 of 6.

    God's New Provision for Sanctification

Now this is where God moves on the scene, and we have God's new provision for sanctification.

There is, therefore, now no condemnation to them who are in Christ Jesus....( Romans 8:1)

That is,chapter 7of Romans describes Paul's failure when he was a believer. I think this took place when he was first converted after the Damascus Road experience. He found failure in the Christian life. But even then there was no condemnation because he was in Christ. It did not disturb or wreck his salvation at all, but he was not happy. There was no joy, no power in his life.

For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son, in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh, that the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.( Romans 8:2-4)

Believers have a new nature, but it has no power. You cannot live for God in your own strength. It is only as you and I come and yield to Him, it is only as you and I will obey Him, that we can be well pleasing to Him. It is only by the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit that you and I can live for God. Now Paul makes that extremely clear:

For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.( Romans 8:5,6)

If you are to have life and peace - that is, a Christian life filled with the fruits of the Holy Spirit - it must be by the power of the Holy Spirit. You can never achieve them on your own.

    God bless.

Surrender. Stop struggling in His hand and let Him hold you. Psalms 46:10 - Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. James 4:7 - Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Trust him to resolve any problem. Psalms 56:3 - Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You.

Romans 8:28 - And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

2 Timothy 1:12 - for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.

Recently, I was pondering in my mind with the LORD about this account & I knew there would be a discussion about this. For some of us it's easier to fight, much more difficult to submit to circumstances beyond our control; especially when it's unjust. I relate with Peter. I was thinking how Peter had come to the realization the Jesus was the CHRIST, MESSIAH. Jesus had just said : Luke 22:27-30.

Is there much more knowledge we're supposed to get from this?

Luke 22:36, Luke 22:38, 2 swords enough? Do you think Jesus was being literal or testing them? Do you feel the act of aggregation saved the Disciples? John 18:8-9, ( I've thought that) but look at: John 18:10. "Then._." it seems to be after Jesus had already set their pardon.

    Luke 22:40,42, Luke 22:43-46, Matthew 26:36-44, Mark 14:33-39, Zechariah 13:7, ( Mark 14:27 , Matthew 26:56 )

    Matthew 16:15-27,

    * Mark 14:27, offended? Matthew 26:33-35,

Mark 14:42-50, Luke 22:47-51, John 18:10-11, Matthew 26:50-52, Were they offended because Jesus didn't fight, nor let them? after He had said to get swords? Would we be offended if Jesus healed our enemy, we thought we were defending Him from? Then rebuke them/Peter or us openly? John 18:6, Matthew 26:53,

Luke 22:54, John 18:15, Why did Peter follow? Luke 22:33, Where is our strength? In our flesh & resolve, or GOD & HIS will?

    Mark 14:29-31,

    Luke 22:55-62,

    Matthew 10:17-22, Matthew 10:28-34,

    Acts 12:1-12,

    Romans 8:34-39,

    Ephesians 6:10-18,

Do you think it was much easier to fight? Matthew 26:41, Luke 22:32,

    Isaiah 55:8-9,

The woman and the man child; out of three interpretations on the woman being either Mary, Israel or the church, I will use a process of elimination to prove who this woman is. 1. the woman must be in the middle of the tribulation when this event happens, therefore, this could not be Mary. 2. the woman keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ, therefore, this could not be Israel. Secondly the woman has the moon under her feet, meaning power over Satan and devils, Israel has never had that power, meaning this could not be Israel. The right answer is that this is the church, who is clothed with the sun, a metaphorical meaning of the gospel, the New Testament, the gospel of the kingdom and the new covenant. Her twelve stars refer unto the twelve apostles, knowing power was given unto the church in the name of Jesus Christ over all devils, this is the woman.

The man child; found within the church are brethren that have matured to become sons of God, according to the Apostle Paul these are Christians led by the Holy Spirit. Romans 8:14 The sons of God, and the man child, are both male in gender and are one in the same, during the middle of the tribulation, the church will go into labor pains and deliver the man child who will be taken away in the rapture, this is the same understanding of the bridegroom coming for his bride at the midnight hour.

Kinsman redeemer by the humanity of Jesus Christ.

We see the kinsman redeemer in Leviticus 25:25. and we see it carried out in the book of Ruth chapters 1-4.

we see in Revelation 5:1-5. we see a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals. and no one was able to open the book but the Lord Jesus. If you notice verse 3 it had to be a "MAN"/Human. And he had to be able. Perfect/Sinless. and he has to be willing. This could only happen by the deity of Christ in his Human form.

(His deity, He cannot sin.) (His humanity, He can take on our sin.) His humanity makes him our kinsman redeemer.

    References:

    Galatians 4:4-5.

    Hebrews 2:9-11.

Luke 4:18:19. The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord. "Restitution of all things"

Acts 3:21. (I believe this is yet to come)

I believe the jubilee foreshadowed this.

    study Leviticus 25:8-25.

What are we presently redeemed from? Galatians 3:13. The law condemned us and faith in Christ justified us.

    Galatians 3:5-13.

However, our bodies have not been redeemed yet, If so there will be no more death.

    Also, Romans 8:19-23.

    GOD BLESS.

Hello Karen. That does seem like a strange word to give in prayer: "that God help us to sin less so Jesus won't suffer anymore." You'd have to clarify with the pastor as to what he meant by this, as he could be thinking in terms of "grieving the Holy Spirit" ( Ephesians 4:30). As the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God & of Jesus ( Romans 8:9), it is God Himself in us Who, by His Spirit, knows all that we go through in this life, whether in honour or dishonour of His Name.

We know there is much praise, exaltation & glorifying of the Lord God in Heaven continuously (Revelation chapter 4), but in that worship there would always be a consciousness of the folly of the wicked on Earth, or of those hearing the Gospel & maybe on the verge of submitting to God's Spirit, or even the child of God who strays away, whether wilfully or accidentally. God knows all things, for He is God, so I feel that in the exuberation of praise & worship in Heaven, there is also the solemness of the tragedies of fallen creation or when we succumb to Satan's taunts & lies instead of withstanding him with the Word of God.

I'm unsure whether this adequately answers your enquiry or even helpful, as each one would have perceptions of Heaven according to the understanding of the Word & the Light given to us. Some Christians believe in a very jovial lighthearted God on His Throne - I cannot perceive such characteristics of God, at least from the my reading of the Bible. But yes, God does require us to deal with sin ("sin less" as the pastor said); joy when there is victory & a true heart before the Throne, and grief when we fail Him. But you're right in stating that Jesus has once suffered for our sins - that agony, crucifixion, & death can happen no more.

Thanks for replying Rick. Stay with it - read the Scriptures (the Old & New Testaments) with this in mind: God's Love knows no bounds as He is just that, a loving God as well as a Just God dealing with us as sinners. He made the provision for every person to come to know Him, even those who've never heard of Him but look to that One, someone greater & more 'merciful' than their idols, coming in faith & expectancy that their redemption must come from above.

Would a perfect lamb sufficed as a Sacrifice? Maybe it would as it would have been God-provided & God-accepted to make full atonement. But then again, how deep & unfathomable is the Father's Love, that by not only providing a Sacrifice that we could not provide, but that He gave of that one Sacrifice that could never be transcended in any possible way: Himself. This alone gives us much weight of assurance & great joy when we read in 1 John 3:16: "Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren." And, John 15:13: "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." Do I see Jesus in the OT? Maybe not His Name, but certainly the Promise & expectancy of His Coming at the appointed time to give both Jew & Gentile salvation that none can separate or rob us of ( Romans 8:38,39). Praise Him often for His mercies He has showered upon you, giving you life & hope that so many spurn, rejecting His Offer of eternal life.

    Hello Becki,

From what I understand most (or all) of us answering questions & possibly moderating are volunteers, that's what I've been told, I'm one that is. Freely I've received freely I should give. Matthew 10:8,

I myself did not answer because I don't know that teaching.

I am sorry that happened & I wish it didn't happen here. Each person here has their own reasons to be here. I jump on here irregularly, sometimes it's daily sometimes not for months. I do notice several questions do get overlooked= that's why I continue to volunteer here. = To try & answer the questions that seem to get skipped, overlooked, lost inside many words... Sometimes I answer a question that was overlooked & then there are several people giving alternative answers, weirdly. I was actually discouraged much recently & was going to stop volunteering here starting last night/today. Of course I prayed. Then after reading the WORD here just now, I went back into Discussion tab to find book in proposed reading 4 new year. & I saw your response, I feel a tug on my heart to help you. I don't believe that teaching of the Angels of GOD having children. Please read these scriptures: Matthew 22:28-32, Mark 12:24-25, Romans 8:14-17, John 1:12, Jude 1:1-25, if that were possible it would've happened in Tobit 3:7-17, Tobit 6:13-14 wouldn't it have?

I recommend reading the HOLY Scriptures 2 Timothy 3:1-17,

    Hopefully these are helpful

    Hi Kathy,

I would like to add to the truth Cait has given referencing Hebrews 12:18-23. For ye are not come unto the mount that might be touched, and that burned with fire, nor unto blackness, and darkness, and tempest,

And the sound of a trumpet, and the voice of words; which voice they that heard intreated that the word should not be spoken to them any more:

(For they could not endure that which was commanded, And if so much as a beast touch the mountain, it shall be stoned, or thrust through with a dart:

And so terrible was the sight, that Moses said, I exceedingly fear and quake:)

BUT YE ARE COME UNTO MOUNT SION, AND UNTO THE CITY OF THE LIVING GOD, THE ( HEAVENLY JERUSALEM, ) and to an innumerable company of angels,

To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,

Notice the contrast. In Exodus 19:10-12. THE LORD TELL MOSES TO SANCTIFY THE PEOPLE AND TELL THEM TO WASH THERE CLOTHES, and bring them the third day, and they still couldn't touch the border of the law given mountain!!

In the Heavenly Jerusalem God don't wash garments, he gives new ones.

    Zechariah 2:10-13.

    Zechariah 3:1-9.

    Ephesians 4:20-24.

    Colossians 3:9-10.

    Parallel-

Galatians 4:21-26. Tell me, ye that desire to be under the law, do ye not hear the law?

For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman.

But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by promise.

WHICH THINGS ARE AN ALLEGORY: FOR THESE ARE THE TWO COVENANTS; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar.

For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children.

BUT JERUSALEM WHICH IS ABOVE IS FREE, WHICH IS THE MOTHER OF US ALL.

    Romans 8:3-4.

A general area to study in.

    Hopefully someone will add.

    God bless.

Verse 10 of this Psalm certainly gives us pause to think of an average lifespan; as the last years are indeed a struggle. If this refers to the last generation; we need to consider that 1948 may not have been the correct beginning for that day.

We notice where Christ says"..behold the fig trees and ALL the trees.." ( Luke 21:29) This would perhaps indicate economic prosperity for the surrounding nations which the Gulf states are already seeing ahead of them with agreements with Israel. It would seem for Israel to be attacked when they live securely and with unwalled villages in the Ezekiel 38 war; first the events of Psalm 83 would expand Israel's borders and eliminate the constant conflicts with the Palestinians and other nearby surrounding countries. Then; it would be likely the Daniel 27 covenant would have a league with countries such as Iran; Turkey; Syria and perhaps others in N. Africa and make it seem that Israel's issues are over. Just another perspective here. In any event; this psalm tells us that we are to "number our days." (v.12). Life is as a fleeting shadow; there is truly little time before night comes; and no man can work ( John 9:4). The millennium seems a clear concept as well here from v. 4; with the last day of rest for the whole world bringing the world in a way back to the way it was on the last day of the Creation; a sort of rest for the whole creation that has been travailing to this point.( Romans 8:22 etal).

    Matthew 11:28-30

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

I cannot even begin to imagine the pain you are going through. I am so sorry for your loss. Trust in Christ to get you through this dark time in your life.

Romans 8:28 - And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

God has a purpose in all that happens. We may not see it now, or ever for that matter. But He WILL use it for His Glory. Let your light shine through the darkness that He may be glorified. I'm praying for you.

    Romans 8:38-39 KJV

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
