And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God to them who are the called according to his purpose I take the Word literally It says ALL things so good and bad things Also applies to THEM that love God so it ONLY applies to those of us that LOVE GOD Lastly it is intended for those WHO ARE CALLED are we not all called for HIS purpose I believe we are but the main point of this scripture is that we must 1st LOVE God in order for all things to work for our good

Remember, what was the image of Jesus at this foreknowegde? He was like his Father, a spirit in the heavens. The holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, will be like Jesus, a spirit. Heb. 3:1

The creature/creation all things made in the beginning includes man and woman. Also. Another interesting viewpoint meaning the church - reborn in Christ.

I am responding to the verse 14, Tobi's questions. It is not saying that the husband or wife will be saved or go to heaven because the other one obeyed the gospel/is saved. It means that the unbeliever might be won over by as the believer's exemplification of living a godly life. The other might be made holy (santified--Greek translation means, hagiasmos...holiness. As each person is responsible for his or her own soul. If the he or she choose not to obey God's teaching, they won't be and cannot be saved.
Babies/children are not capable of sinning so they will go to heaven. A person have to be able to be accountable for their sins, able to understand.

" Matthew 7:21 Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven {will enter. Just because a person obeyed the gospel, it doesn't" mean they are going to heaven. One has to obey and live their life according to the God's word. If someone goes back into the world and start doing the same thing they did before put on Christ in baptism, they will not make it to heaven. Repenting is a change of heart/lifestyle. God's does not leave or turn his back on us....ever. We are the ones who leaves him. Romans 8:35-39. I hope this helped.

It means that we are ALL God and God is ALL of us and ALL THINGS. Everything in existence is connected by Gods energy. Without God there would not be Life. Without life, there would be nothing. No such thing as the big bang theory. This is only scientists trying to find and answer to everything. The only answer is the WORD OF GOD.
  • Kingsley on Romans 8:26 - 12 years ago
We as humans are limited by our senses, even when we pray,we do so according to our feelings, but when we pray in tongues, we are praying mysteries, praying the will of God. We are fixing things in the realm of the spirit which are not revealed to our senses.

Not only is God for us : The whole Chpt.8 has & is taken care of all of our spirit ,soul, & body. Praise God. I have nothing to fear !!! I have nothing to worry about. All I need to do is cast all my care on the Lord and be a doer of His word : Then God will back me. Nothing shall by any means hurt me : The devil & his co-hearts are nothing up beside the Lord God Almighty !!!!

To me, this verse means that if God is on my side (and I know that he is) then there is no person, man, beast or satin who can defeat us. God in us will defeat all! HE gives me the power to be a winner by calling out to HIM.

All this have really inspired me. But there are more revelations to be unveiled. This Spirit ( Holy Spirit) raised Jesus from the grave into the glory He will reveal in us. There are calls for the sons of God to arise take the fire of revival to the church, organisation, school, company, office, etc. But just like there is alway battles of dominance between the spirit and the flesh(body), the Holy Spirit having His Presence in our life will quicken our mortal body to do the will of the Father. The Holy Spirit can't reach the lost in His form, therefore His sons that have Him dwelling in them will have their mortal body quickened so as to be able to reach the lost. I PRAY THAT THIS SPIRIT( HOLY SPIRIT) AWAKES THE SLEEPING SONS OF GOD, AND QUICKEN THEIR MORTAL BODY FOR THIS ENDTIME MOVE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.

Truly a misquoted verse used by many people. The truth shall "make"you free. The one word "make" has a strong meaning, and when changed makes a huge impact . Instead of "make" it is stated "set". When something is set that means it is able to return back to where it came from, when you are made/make you are transformed, made a new. You don't have the ability to return to what you were. Once Christians see the importance of the word "make", they will see that God has equipped them with every tools necessary to live on this Earth in order to be a strong witness. The same "make" is used toward Abraham when God promised to make him a great nation and make his name great. God didn't set him a great nation or set his name great.
Christians have been "made free", Romans 8:1-2. It is important to cultivate wisely the God given talents and spirit He has already given when you
    accepted Him. Romans 8:13-17.
Not only was God's plan to "make" people free, but to make Christians perfect, in order to bring Him glory. Christians CAN have the same testimony as Christ did on Earth, because He is Christ in them, Hebrews 13:20-21 Colossians 1:10-11.
"If the Son therefore shall make you free, he shall be free indeed." John 8:36

I believe that Adam and Eve had the holy spirit living in them when they where in the garden, but when they sin God took away the holy spirit and left then with a weak spirit and soul.in romans 8:16 when we turn back to God he sends his holy spirit back to live in us and to show us how to live a Christian life as a true believer and live our life according to his will. God bless.

For I am persuaded: this is an individual matter... Each child of God must come to that place that they know without a shadow of a doubt that the Almighty God is with them. This passage are for those who have sold out to the world, and have put all their trust in Jesus - so sure that no matter what comes out against them - the many fiery darts of the advesary, the devil, or the seemingly endless trials - God's people are unwavering as Paul. They know no matter what, God is with them and will love them forever. But this is solely for those who Jesus and have come to the place of the knowledge of the truth. Not so for the wicked.

THE POWER THAT RAISED JESUS LIVES INSIDE ME, THEREFORE I CAN ALSO RAISE THE DEAD BECAUSE HE IS INSIDE ME OR THE SAME SPIRIT CAN RAISE THE DEAD THROUGH ME. THEREFORE EVERYTHING HAS TO BE POSSIBLE FOR ME AS THAT SAME POWER THAT RESURECTED JESUS LIVES IN ME. HE IS NOT DORMANT, THE POWER IS STILL THE SAME.
  • Shay on Romans 8:6 - 12 years ago
We can pursue 'minding of the spirit' by regularly setting our minds on the things of the spirit and allowing a spiritual inclination and attitude to develop in us. We want to build our life around a spirtual routine that includes regular prayer, Bible reading and study and worship of Jehovah God.
