Romans 9 tells us the children of flesh and blood are NOT the children of God,its the children of PROMISE that are counted for that GOOD seed,WHO are the children of PROMISE ? ITS THE SEED OF CHRIST THAT ARE THE CHIDREN OF PROMISE THE GOOD SEED AS JESUS SAID.Yes the JEWS are his children but they are not the children of Promise as Jesus tells them they must be bornagain of an incorruptible seed God is like abraham he had 2 sons but 1 was born of the flesh Ishmael n hagar but it was Issac that was the child of PROMISE A TYPE OF CHRIST. But natural Israel answers to Hagar Jerusalem that is in bondage with her children. Thus we wait for a 2 nd Israel which is the seed of Christ TH H.G. A KINGDOM

Not all Israel is Israel there is a heavenly Israel and an earthy Israel,There is an Israel of God which is the multiplication of Christ th heavenly Israel,Thats y he is saying that which is born of the spirit is spirit as God is spirit which is th H.G. ya remember GOD SWORE BY HIMSELF meaning that God was gonna be multiplied in humanity thus the NEW BIRTH is for everyman. Jesus said the field was the world where that Godly seed wd be sown meaning all men was gonna birth a new innerman th H.G. the PROMISE CHILD th kingdom child. Now unto abraham and his seed were the promise made but HE SAYS NOT UNTO SEEDS PLURAL BUT UNTO 1 SEED WHICH IS CHRIST Thus its Christ that is gonna be multiplied n us

Galatians 3:29 "And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise."rnThe promises were made ONLY to Abrahams SEED, therefore those "Greeks" had to be Israelites!! No other way around it.rnProof: Romans 9:3 " For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my BRETHREN, my KINSMEN according to the FLESH:rnrn4 Who are ISRAELITES; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the PROMISES;"rnTHE PROMISES WAS MADE TO THE DESCENDANTS OF ABRAHAM ONLY..AND EVERYTHING ELSE PERTAINS TO REAL ISRAELITES..NOT THOSE IN ISRAEL TODAY. Christ said His ppl would go into slavery. Luke 21:24

Concerning the "divorced Israelites"..remember what they were BEFORE they were divorced. However, the covenants, OLD AND NEW is STILL with the Israelites, not with EVERYONE IN THE WORLD. Romans 9:3 "3 For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my BRETHREN, my KINSMEN according to the FLESH:rnrn4 Who are ISRAELITES; TO WHOM PERTAINETH the ADOPTION, and the GLORY, and the COVENANTS, and the giving of the LAW, and the SERVICE of God, and the PROMISES;rnrn5 Whose are the fathers, and OF WHOM as concerning the flesh CHRIST CAME, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen."rnHebrews 8:8" also explains WHO both OLD and NEW covenant is for. See WHO Israel is today( Deuteronomy 28)

James, actually The thief is the perfect example of someone saved without works (including Baptism), The thief did not die in the Old Testament. The thief had died after Jesus thus the new Testament was in effect (see John19:31-33) Where soldiers had broken both thieves legs to officially finish the job (Because they had not yet died by the crucifixion). But Jesus himself was already dead. The thief died saved and unbaptized. Now some people might come and say it wasn't until the resurrection that the new Testament went into effect. But as Romans 9:15-22 explains "And for this cause, he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of DEATH, for the redemption of the transgressions."

You cannot change your nationality, simply because you have accepted Christ. No scripture says that. And please read from verse 1 to see WHO the subject matter is..its all about the descendants Jacob(whose name was changed to "Israel.)
If i moved to China, adopted Buddhism, did all the religious practices, etc..do i suddenly become a Chinese person? No, thats not possible. Its people who make up this nonsense in "christianity" wants to believe that they suddenly become an Israelites just because they accepted Christ. Thats nonsense. In fact, THESE are the people the Scripture refers to: Romans 9:4 "Who are Israelites, to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants,..etc

    Romans 9:20-24

20 Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus?
21 Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?
22 What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:
23 And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,
24 Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?

God has already answered you in the Eternal Scriptures!

Romans 9 tells of God's need for his people's salvation. How the Jews did not follow and so the Gentiles, unhampered by bookish belief, loved Christ and believed accepting salvation.

Help time with John 3:16 - "For GOD so LOVED the world" - Who did GOD loved past tense ? Jacob Israelite's, refer to Psalms 47:4, Romans 9:13, Malachi 1:2, scripture is clear on that. Now the "world" - GOD calls the nation of Israelite's a world - refer John 18:20 and Isaiah 45:17-But Israel shall be saved in the LORD with an everlasting salvation:.....world without end. Candice is correct.

If you are an Israelite according to the flesh then the blood of Christ is for you! Romans 9:3-5 3 For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh: 4 Who are Israelites 5 ...of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came. As Christ stated in Matthew 15:24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

Revelations is not talking about the 10 commandments when Jesus said keep my laws. Jesus law is the law of Grace not of works. The law of Moses has been fulfiled By Jesus. That means he completed and finished all the works of the law for us. When you depend on the law for salvation you spit on the cross and trample the blood of Christ under foot. No flesh was ever justified by the law. Ever.

Ephesians 2:8-9 By faith we are saved, not by works lest any man should boast. But faith without works changed behavior that reflects Gods love for others , is dead. If there was anything man could DO to add to his " saving" then Jesus would need not have died. So the point is, faith in Jesus' sacrifice and resurrection are what saves us and secures us as His, but if your life should show changes.

Rev.14:6-12 is the three angels message... V12 says Here is the patience of the saints here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus. Rev 12:17 The dragon was wroth with the woman and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. Rev 19:10 tells what the testimony of Jesus Christ is.

I agree with this. Many contemporary Christian churches are teaching once-saved, always saved and their church members use it as justification to proactively sin with no guilt, not asking forgiveness, not even trying to avoid sin, but enjoying it as a perk of grace. This is exactly what Paul said to not do- Romans 6. And if someone turns their back and denies Christ they should not expect grace. Hebrews 6.
  • Melki - In Reply on Romans 9 - 5 years ago
Faith without works is dead. What are the works? Works are the laws we are commanded to keep. For it is written in Revelations 22:14 that only those who keep the laws will be allowed to enter into the kingdom. Come out of Christianity and start keeping the laws of Yahuwah.

God asks, "Do you not know who I am?". Know this sisters and brothers our God, Creator, and Father will not share his glory with another. He alone is to be worshiped and sees things from the End to the Beginning. Already knowing how things will go, who will and will not submit to him. There is one way and ONLY one way. Jesus Christ his Son is that way. By Faith not seed line, works, or law.

Salvation is only for his people - Israelites, to save them from their enemies and all that hate them. Salvation means nothing else. Luke 1:68. whatever nation took you into captivity is your enemy nation. Esau - Edom will be devoured for being our enemy. Obadiah 18. TMH hates Esau Romans 9:13. There are only 12 gates to the Kingdom and it is for Israel Rev. 21:12., Heb. 8:8.
  • Paul Douglas - In Reply on Leviticus 26 - 5 years ago
The laws statues, commandments, were only given to the Israelites, Romans 9:1-5, Salvation is only for the Israelites Luke 1:68-75, you must walk in faith and works James 2:22. The new Kingdom is for Israel, Jeremiah 31:31, Hebrews 8:8. To get eternal life you must do the commandments of God Matthew 19:16, 1 John 5:3, John 14:15, Ecclesiastes 12:13. God hates the sinners Ecclesiasticus 12:6.

It's hard to read harsh words, but they are still "pure" words. I like to think of v.13 like Gen. 4 re Cain and Abel, accepted and not accepted....we have to trust that God is just.
  • Corinne on Romans 9 - 5 years ago
Paul is clear here. His heart is continually heavy because he understands that all those who claim to be Israel, will not all be saved. Yeshua explains that the elect will be gathered from one end of the earth to the other. This is the remnant. We need to learn who Israel is. Once we are enlightened, then we will understand what Paul is teaching.

Osee is the Greek form of Hosea. You will find in 1:10 the answer to part of your question. Chapter 3 explains the not beloved who departed from God in worshiping idols but their return to God in the latter days to become again the beloved. It's in between the lines.

In reply to Rom. 9:25 - This scripture is speaking on the authority and power of God in his ultimate wisdom as our creator. Paul speaks previously in the chapter how he will have mercy on whom he will have mercy. This verse is linked to Hosea ch. 1. Though God will be merciful to some, others will experience his wrath, but at the conclusion, he has a plan to save his children. Jews and Gentiles.
