This passage speaks of Solomon receiving his crown from his Mother, which was normally done by the Father, but King David had passed on, so it was an honor bestowed upon his Mother. This was done at his wedding ceremony and his heart was very happy. This is a picture of the wedding of Israel to Jehovah God in the Kingdom of God and Jesus the Messiah will be ruling and reigning as the Church, the Bride of Christ enjoys the Kingdom of God, which will be a honey moon for a thousand years.

Simon, please excuse the insertion of " Song of Solomon 3:14": it must have come in as a result of the Site's Checker. I intended the Scripture from 1st John, chapter 3, verse 14.

Verse one refers to the night, which can indicate a spiritual atmosphere in which it's difficult to get through to God in prayer; the Bride-to-be-of-Jesus finds herself in this very predicament...."I sought Him, but I found Him not". The term bed would normally refer to a place of rest, but here it symbolizes a place of ease, because she had not responded to the Bridegroom's invitation to separate herself unto Him (in the previous chapter) by going to the mountains of Bether. In verse three, when the Bride-to-be asks the watchman of the city if they've seen her true-love, they don't have the depth of relationship in their walk in order to answer her. Thankfully, in verse four, her desperation soon brings her into the presence of the one she loves, and immediately she revels in her original encounter with Him (that would encompass her birthing, as it were, in the womb of the church).

    John 3 (open this link)

Like the pharisee Nicodemus; you must be born again. After that you must ask to be baptized with the Holy Spirit.

There is a great link in this website that will lead you through the steps to become a Christian. There are things we need to understand and agree that we are sinners in need of salvation.

Once you receive the Holy Spirit, He is the one who makes alive, your spirit; and you will hear or feel His leading to get free from past things that hold you back. He'll help you recall things and you go to 1 John 1:9, to give those things to Jesus and receive his cleansing of those memories.

If you are strong enough to fast 21 days, you will be a great witness for Jesus. You can have as much of Jesus's love that you desire in your soul. Song of Solomon 3:16,

    6:3, 7:10

Someone sent this to me so I can not take credit. Sadly few seem to really understand the mission of the Church.

Persecution shall bring revival to the remnant church and separate the wheat from the tares or weeds.

Jesus promised us we would be hated:

Matthew 10:22 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.

We are warned of Tribulation or Trouble in this world

Acts 14:22 Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.

Paul warned us of persecution in 2 Timothy 3:12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

    someone sent this to me:

"Everyone is always searching for the"One" sign/event that will trigger Christ's return, yet completely ignore the One thing that is the determining factor of when Christ returns.

It's not about what king or kingdom is doing that is the final event, It's what the Church is like, what the Church is doing.

Jesus is returning for a Bride that has Made Herself READY.....

    A Church Triumphant.

His return is not a rescue mission,

It is a completion of the task He appointed the Church to fulfill and until She does, He will NOT return.

He is coming for a Bride that has made herself ready to be received by her husband, Her gown washed white in His blood, without spot or wrinkle.

The Bride is still not ready, the Great exploits of the Church has not yet occurred because She is still too immature, too busy acting childish. When She matures, then we will see the sings and wonders take place that will bring about the greatest revival in human history. The Latter rain is to be greater then the Former Rain."

1 Corinthians 7:9-But if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn.

Bible Definition for burn: pyro-to be inflamed with sexual desire,

Hebrews 13:4-Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.

Bible definition amiantos: undefiled-not defiled, unsoiled, pure, free from that by which the nature of a thing is deformed and debased, or its force and vigour impaired

    Hi John,

    >"The churches also change God's plan for marriage."

What do you mean by 'churches' change God's plan for marriage? How? Which churches? Ones you attend or do you assume all are a certain way because of some you visited or a few people within the church you spoke to? Aren't the people who attend church just reading what the Bible says? In the decades I've attended churches- hundreds of them, not once have I seen anyone 'change' God's plan for marriage.

In your previous comment you claimed that premarital sex is not sinful which is not what the Bible says, and now you're claiming to know God's plan for marriage? How do we know what you're saying isn't the devil's plan? And why assume that a cultural difference in popular marital age is God's plan? Paul said to stay single if you can and that's in the Bible, so I don't know how you assume God thinks everyone must get married by a certain age or that its ok to sin. If you put your hope and trust in God and learn about Him from the Bible and consider that an authority then what are your Bible references to back up this claim?

You misunderstand the Biblical word fornication. Fornication was false god worship of the false gods of

Baal and Ashtoreth, the god and goddess of fertility. The worship was sex in the groves in an open orgy

where everyone was watching everyone else having sex. It was the pornography of the times. If you did

not have a willing woman partner as a man, then the temple would rent you a prostitute,. If a woman did

not have a male willing partner, then the temple would rent her a male prostitute to have sex with. Interestingly,

the words for these prostitutes were porneuo and pornea from which we transliterate rigth out of the Bible

for our terms of pornography today. It was the same practice of watching other people having sex.

And if a man entice a maid that is not betrothed, and lie with her, he shall surely endow her to be his wife. Exodus 22:16

The churches also change God's plan for marriage. In the OT kids became adults at 13 and got married at 14-15 when their hormones were raging. Now the churches and parents tell kids to got to college and get a degree then a good job and wait to have sex until then when you are married which totally is against God's plan for marriage

1 Corinthians Chapter 7:7 For I would that all men were even as I myself. But every man hath his proper gift of God, one after this manner, and another after that.

8 I say therefore to the unmarried and widows, It is good for them if they abide even as I.

9 But if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn.

    >"So it was not sin as long as they got married at some future point afterwards"

Hello, I'm not sure who told you that, but that doesn't come from God and isn't Biblical or true. The father of lies (satan) loves distorting the minds of Christians and encouraging them to spread falsehoods to others. Even though Christians are saved by grace sin is a big deal and should be avoided at nearly all costs. John 14:15, Matthew 5:29-30. Matthew 7:16-27, Matthew 7:26-27, Galatians 5:17, Hebrews 10:26.
  • Hogan - In Reply on Song of Solomon 3 - 4 years ago
I also see that you've used some kind of reference to the old testament to support your message. Here is the bible version of the old testament to support this verse in the new testament.

1Cor. 10:8 - Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.

Please Read Old Testament Scriptures: Num 25:1-9; Psa 106:29; Rev 2:14.

Here's a few scriptures in the bible about Fornication (sex before marriage).

Heb 13:4-Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.

1Co 6:18-Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.

1Co 7:2-Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.

Gal 5:19-Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,20-Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,21-Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

Eph 5:3-But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;4-Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.5-For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God...

1Thess 4:3-For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication:4-That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour;..

Col 3:5-Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:6-For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:...

@john,you are wrong. Where is it written in the bible that you can have sex before marriage? You can please read what is fornication from the bible. Also read about sexual immorality.
  • John on Song of Solomon 3 - 4 years ago
They were rightfully reveling in their sexuality and their love which contradicts today's church teaching on sex where they tell kids in general and little girls in particular that sex is: "bad, dirty and wrong and that good girls don't do it". They never teach all the sex positive messages from the Bible. They also violate the scriptural command not to add to the Word or take away from it. The churches lie and tell us that you have to wait to get married to have sex. Not true.

You were permitted to have sex before marriage but the man had to endow the woman to be his wife. So it was not sin as long as they got married at some future point afterwards

The beauty and private love, desire and longing in this book is indeed so personal and its honest out pouring for all the world to see is shocking in its intimacy. Jamal gottouched a bit on the Lord's Prayer and got me thinking of its equal intensify , beauty and surrender.

Lol at all of these allegories in the comments... This is about romantic love and there's nothing shameful about it. God endorses the union of people, and this doesn't need to be connected with 1st Thessalonians, Matthew, or Revelation (i.e. the Marriage supper of the lamb in each case) in order to be profound scripture.

The Lord has placed us as watchmen. We are to be looking for our Lord of the vineyard to come, and reward all those who worked in His vineyard for a penny a day. For the Lord will settle accounts with those watchmen, so get busy, and don "t let Him find you sleeping on the job.
