Manuel: The day of the Lord began when John the Baptist came preaching the kingdom of God is at hand.
This ONE DAY, a day called TODAY has been going on now for two thousand years.
Zechariah 14:6 And it shall come to pass in that day (of the Lord), that the light shall not be clear, nor dark:
We are somewhere inside the hours of that day now and the light is neither clear, nor dark.
Zechariah 14:7 But it shall be one day which shall be known to the LORD, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time (the end of that day and the beginning of the next day) IT SHALL BE LIGHT.
Revelation 21:22 And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are THE TEMPLE OF IT.
Revelation 21:23 And the city (you are the new Jerusalem), had no need of the sun, neither the moon, to shine in it; for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
Zechariah 12:7 The LORD also shall save the tents of Judah FIRST, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of (new) Jerusalem do not magnify themselves against Judah.
Matthew 27:52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,
Matthew 27:53 And came put of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city (new Jerusalem, and appeared to many (as ministering spirits).
Zachariah 12:8 And in that day shall the LORD defend the inhabitants of (new) Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David (Christ); and the house of David (Christ) shall be as God, as (the image of) the angle of the LORD before them.
Bible supports round earth. Calls it a circle: Isaiah 40:22
I've never met anyone who believes in flat earth who has travelled much, because travellers know that when you fly in one direction long enough you end up in the same starting point, because the earth is a sphere. People do this every day, so there's no mystery to it. You can also prove it by the sun setting in different times around the world. If it was flat the sun would set at the same time. Also you wouldn't have opposite seasons depending on which pole you're near. You can also just measure the shadow length and angle of a common item like a straw and be on the phone at the exact time as someone else measuring it on the opposite side of the earth. Obviously one side would be nighttime which already refutes the theory, but if it was day, the shadows are very different lengths. There's so much evidence suporting sphere earth that it's mind boggling why people can't even agree on that.
It quite literally is impossible for the Earth to be flat. Flat earthers attempt to twist scripture out of context.
Here are a few:
Matthew 4:8Job 28:24Job 37:3 and quite often Revelation 7:1 the four corners of the earth.
Simply an old sailors myth? Afraid the ships would fall off of the earth when the horizon line was reached. Fortunately, they just kept sailing and it never happened.
We know that science changes daily but physics plays a large role in your question.
If the earth were flat would different regions be experiencing different seasons? Winter, summer.
Do planes fly around the earth or do they go one way and then have to turn around to get back. Satellites orbiting. Different views of stars. Is New York city seen from hundreds of miles away. If the earth is flat what's on the other side. If the flat what satellite image shows the "thin ends" or sides of the earth.(its a globe, sphere, round, spinning) No NASA didn't photoshop every single image.
Let's dig in and pray fervently for the world right now. Should you feel burdened to do so. We are a few bad decisions away from seeing a "flattened earth" if you follow.
How wonderful is it to Not know all of the workings and mysteries of God.
Good evening, that question is spreading like wildfire on the internet social media. I am not sure but was taught that the earth is round. My only suggestion is when in doubt ask Jesus...with any question that is..seek the truth. God bless.
CE. You stated, "God uses anti-christ to remove His backsliding people (modern day Israel)" & you referred to Ezekiel 38:1-17. Then Ezekiel 38:18-23 shows what God does to 'magnify & sanctify Himself before many nations' (v23), & that is, to overwhelm Gog (the nations from the North & elsewhere who come against God's people). Israel are indeed a "backsliding people", but God is about to show the world that Israel is still to be preserved & that one day (maybe after they see God's dealing with them) they will finally return to Him & ultimately to the Messiah ( Ezekiel 39:21-29; Zechariah 12:9-11).
Romans 11:26 tells us that all Israel shall be saved. Now, that does not mean that every single Israelite, past, present, and future is going to be saved. It means that when Christ comes (After the fullness of the Gentiles), which is a time period from Pentecost until the Rapture of the church, but when the fullness of the Gentiles comes in, there will be a Tribulation Period.
And then afterwards, when Christ comes at His second coming, those Jews who are on the earth will be saved, approximately one third of them that began the tribulation period. It says "As it is written, there shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob.
It goes on further in Romans 11:27, which is the fulfilment of the prophecy given to us in Isaiah 59:21 and Zechariah 12:10. All of these tell us that when Christ comes, they (the Jews) are going to look on Him whom they have pierced, and He is going to take away all of their sins. This will come at Christ's second coming. At Jesus' second coming, every Jew who is still alive on this earth will be saved!
This is what I understand to be true after doing a little reading in my study bible.
The Davidic kingdom to be restored by Christ : it's character and extent
Isaiah 11 This chapter is a prophetic picture of the glory of the future kingdom, which will be set up when David's son returns in glory.
Luke 1: 31-32; Acts 15:15-16
Isaiah 11:9 -10 They shall not hurt or destroy in all my holy mountain,
For the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD
As waters cover the sea.
"And in that day there shall be a Root of Jesse,
Who shall stand as a banner to the people;
For the Gentiles shall seek Him,
And His resting place shall be glorious."
How Crist will set up the kingdom
Isaiah 11:11-12
It shall come to pass in that day
That the LORD shall set His hand again the second time
To recover the remnant of
His people who are left,
From Assyria and Egypt,
From Pathros and Cush,
From Elam and Shinar,
From Hamath and the islands of the sea. He will set up a banner for the nations,
And will assemble the outcasts of Israel,
And gather together the dispersed of Judah
From the four corners of the earth.
Habakkuk 2:14
For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD As waters cover the sea.
Zechariah 12:8 "In that day the LORD will defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; the one who is feeble among them in that day shall be like David, and the house of David shall be like God, like the Angel of the LORD before them."
The moral characteristics of the kingdom are to be righteousness and peace. The meek, not the proud , will inherit the earth; longevity will be greatly increased; the knowledge of the LORD will be universal;
beast-ferocity will be removed;
absolute equity will be enforced; and open sin will be visited with instant judgement; whereas the enormous majority of earth's inhabitants will be saved Psalms 2:9; Isaiah 11:4,6-9; 26:9; 65:20; Zacharia 14:16-21
The NT Revelation 20:1-5 adds a detail of immence significance
Brother Chris, you are correct I will have a hard time convincing people that he was speaking to the church, because they don't BELIEVE that ALL MEN are God's CHURCH.'
Judah was the only one that had five brothers, so this was addressed to the house of JUDAH, creation is the PROMISED SEED of the house of JUDAH.
Zechariah 12:7 And the Lord shall save the TENTS OF JUDAH FIRST......
They don't believe that God is capable of saving all men.
They don't believe Christ was SENT to be the SAVIOUR OF THE WORLD.
BELIEF is BELIEVING all God's words, even devils believe there's a God. Christ is THE WORD, ALL WORDS, if you reject that Christ is not going to save all men as he says he will, you are rejecting the WORD.
So we see that they could not enter in because of UNBELIEF.
The CHURCH in the wilderness BELIEVED in GOD, but the did not BELIEVE what he SAID, they lost out because of UNBELIEF.
Eve (WOMAN) suffered death, not because she didn't believe in God, but because she did not BELIEVE what God SAID.
If I be lifted up I will draw ALL MEN to me.
UNBELIEF is the ONLY sin not covered by the blood of CHRIST.
Sister GiGi, Jesus always had to take the disciple aside and explain the parables to them, because it's NOT GIVEN to the multitudes. When he was with them in Matthew 5 it was only him and the 12, no multitude.
This is the problem today, Jesus is ONLY calling out those CHOSEN to be priest in the coming kingdom on earth. Man doesn't believe this. He takes you, the called out, aside and teaches you, not the multitudes.
God is going to follow the shadow of the Old Testament. FIRST Passover, SECOND Feast of the weeks or feast of firstfruits (Pentecost) and LAST, feast of the ingathering (final harvest). A FEW are being called and chosen now to be labours in the final harvest. Only the wheat and rye were first ripe and ready to harvest at the feast of weeks (Pentecost)(we are still in the feast of the weeks). All the rest of the harvest weren't mature until the feast of ingathering.
Zechariah 12:7 The Lord shall also save the tents of Judah FIRST.....
The New covenant PRIESTHOOD is out of the house of Judah, the Old covenant priesthood was of the house of Levi.
Everything that happened in the old will happen in the new.
Ecclesiastes 3:15 That which hath been IS NOW; and that WHICH IS TO BE hath already been; and God requireth that which is past.
Sister GiGi, here are more scriptures that say we are going to be gods. In the Hebrew text the words were never capitalised.
Exodus 7:1 And the Lord SAID unto Moses, See, I HAVE MADE thee a god unto Pharaoh: and Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet.
Joshua 22:22 The LORD God of gods, the LORD God of gods ......
Psalms 82:6 I have SAID ye are gods, children of the most high.
Psalms 86:8 Among the gods there is none like unto thee, O Lord, neither are there any works like unto thy works.
Psalms 95:3 For the Lord is a great God, and a great king above all gods.
Psalms 97:7 Confounded be all they that serve graven images, that boost themselves of idols, worship him, all ye gods.
Psalms 97:9 For thou, Lord, art high above the earth: thou art exalted far above all gods.
Psalms 136:2 Give thanks unto the God of gods: for his mercy endureth forever.
Psalms 138:1 I will praise the with my whole heart; before the gods will I sing praise unto thee.
Zechariah 12:7 The Lord also shall save the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem do not magnify themselves against Judah.
Zechariah 12:8 In that day shall the Lord defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and the HOUSE OF DAVID shall be as God, as (the image of) the angel of the lord (that is) before them (the gods).
The prophecy in Zechariah 8:20-23 speaks of the future time, in the Millenium period, when Israel, who once rejected God & His Messiah, will truly come to know Him & adore Him. Such will be their joy & testimony, that even the nations around will be aware of this change & the blessings upon them - the heathen will "come to seek the LORD of Hosts in Jerusalem & to pray before the LORD" (v22). They will even cling to Israel in the future (v23), when once Israel was a hated & despised people.
In Daniel 11:32 however, we see an earlier part of Jewish history; verses 21-35 speaks of a Grecian King, Antiochus IV Epiphanes (career from 175-164 BC), who made several expeditions into Egypt (vv24-27), & then turned his hatred onto Israel (v28). In venting his anger upon the Jews, Antiochus declared the Mosaic ceremonies illegal & erected in the Holy Place a statue of Zeus (v31). Some Jews resisted him & were martyred (vv32,33). As evil as this king was to the Jews, we also get a picture of this king's antitype, in the Anti-Christ who will once again come upon the Jews (vv36-45). Here again, the Jews will suffer badly for their rejection of the True God & His Christ, but will one day in the future, will worship Him through the Name above all names, & as we read in the Zechariah portion, they will be mighty witnesses for Christ Jesus.
So these two passages show how hard the hearts of Israel are & the change coming. Despite so many prophetical warnings, as well as the Son of God presenting Himself to them to alert them, making God real before their eyes, even giving His Life for them, they still remained blinded & deaf to the patient Call of God. But one day they will know & see the One Whom they pierced ( Zechariah 12:10; Revelation 1:7) & full blessing will be restored to them, as even to those who call on Jesus now.

The following portions of Scripture relate to the coming day when the Jews will recognize their Messiah, the One they first rejected - and still do.
Romans 11:25-27: "For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins." And verse 26 cross references to Isaiah 59:20,21.
Zechariah 12:10: "And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn."
Medical Explanation of Jesus39s Death - In Reply on 1 John 5 - 4 years ago
John 19:31-34
The bodies would not remain on the cross on the Sabbath the Jews asked Pilate that the legs might be broken and that they might be taken away. The soldiers came and broke the legs of the 1st and 3rd prisoners. Jesus was already dead, they did not break his legs. But one of the soldiers pierced his side with a spear, there came out blood and water." Why did blood and water come out of Jesus' side??
Crucifixion typically resulted in death through one of two ways: The first was HYPOVOLEMIC shock. The prolonged rapid heartbeat resulting from hypovolemic shock can cause fluid to gather in the area around the heart. This is called pericardial effusion.
The second way death occurred during crucifixion was due to asphyxiation. The person is unable to breathe in enough oxygen to survive. Crucifixion victims had to pull their weight up with their hands or wrists that were nailed; along with pushing up with the feet or ankles that had another nail through them. Over time, the ability to push up to breathe would end and oxygen flow would be restricted. *This asphyxiation can also result in the buildup of fluid around the heart.
In either case, the account of John is quite accurate. The Romans saw that the other two crucifixion victims were still alive and broke their legs so they would no longer be able to push themselves up to breathe, resulting in death within minutes. Jesus, they saw He had become unconscious and likely was already dead. To confirm, a spear was shoved into His side, likely under His ribs, that ruptured the PERICARDIAL sack, resulting in a flow of both blood and water.
This manner of death was a brutal end for Jesus, there was also prophetic significance to this event. John states in John 19:36-37, "For these things took place that the Scripture might be fulfilled: 'Not one of his bones will be broken. And again another Scripture says, They will look on him whom they have pierced.

The people mentioned in Matthew 24:29 to the end of the chapter that Christ is going to gather are Jews, not the church. The word "Tribes" in Verse 30 is very important. That tells us that we are talking about Jewish people. It is a Jewish term. All the tribes of the earth shall mourn. And they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. All the tribes! Again, that would be Jews.
In Revelation Chapter 1 Verse 7, it tells us that every eye will see Him, even those who have pierced Him. Zechariah 12:10 is a prophecy that the Jews hold to, only they don't understand its application. It says that when Messiah comes, they will look upon Him whom they have pierced.
So at this time when Christ comes, at His second coming, the Jews who are left on the earth, they are going to mourn, and they are going to look and go "Oh no, we crucified our Messiah, and here He is!" The Jews are going to recognize Him.
Verse 31 also uses a keyword, and that is the word "elect." It tells us that when Christ does come, He shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet. I'll share some technical information with you to show you how good this passage really is:
He is going to send His angels out with a great sound of a Shofar. It's a ram's horn. In the Greek text, the word "sound" is in brackets, which means it has been added to the text by some unseen person who doesn't understand the fact that the word "great" modifies the trumpet. It is called a great Shofar.
The prophecy is in Isaiah Chapter 27 Verses 12 and 13. It says the great Shofar will blow, and the Lord will gather His people (The Jews) from the four corners of the earth. So that is very important because that's also a prophecy that the Jews looked for. It says He is going to gather them together, His elect, that would be the Jews, from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other, north, south, east, and west.
I would like to share with you my understanding of Matthew Chapter 24. Matthew Chapters 24 and 25 deal with the end-time prophecies. There are four sections in Chapter 24 that represent the 70th week of Daniel.
Section 1: "The Pains of Birth" Verses 4-14. Section 2: Matthew 24:15 is "The Pivotal Point." Section 3: Matthew 24:16-28, "The Perils of Tribulation." And then fourthly, Verses 29 to 31 is "The Promise of His Coming," given to us in Isaiah 13:10 and 34:4, Joel 2:10 and 3:15, 7:13, Isaiah 27:13, and Zechariah 12:10.
Beginning at verse 3 of Chapter 24, the disciples are looking for answers as to when these things are going to happen. Jesus then begins answering, and from Verses 4-14, He gives the details of the first 3-1/2 years of the tribulation, known as the pains of birth. In Verse 15, we have the pivotal point, the abomination of desolation.
Then in Verse 16, we see that Jesus is talking to Jewish believers. Actually, I believe the entire Chapter is given to Jewish believers. But Jesus tells them to flee. Verses 16 to 28 talk about the perils of tribulation, the last 3-1/2 years of the 7 year Tribulation period. It's going to be a very severe time.
Verse 22 is showing us that if God did not have a time period when He says okay I am going to stop, everybody would be wiped out.
But for the sake of the elect, a special word brought over from the O.T. as a title for the Jewish people. They are His elect people. It doesn't mean they are all saved but they are His chosen people. He realizes there are 144,000 of them out there, plus all the others who believed, and this is something that is going to happen in the last part of the tribulation period.
Verses 29-31, we have the promise of His coming. I recently shared the actual 7 Steps of a Jewish Wedding. If we understand those 7 steps, it helps to understand the coming of Christ and some of the Jewish views about when Christ is coming back. Those steps are fascinating!
Zachariah 12 is based on the last day prophecy of unification of Israel back to God for the preparation of the coming Messiah. And Zachariah 12 introduces the current Prime-Minister Benjamin Nathan-Yahu as the fulfiller of I Samuel 23:17 where Jo-Nathan was expected to takeover Israel Kingship after King David of which this never came to pass. Benjamin with the Nathan name.
"And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it." God is putting all the earth into the furnace to be melted, to show what is in their thoughts; who is on the LORD's side, and who is an antichrist child of the devil! Jesus will come to save Israel!
So the "Counsel" has determined that more evidence is needed to support the interpretation of the Scriptures to mean that Christ was to be pierced in His hands and His feet? Read Zechariah 12:10 and 13:6. The Hebrew word in Psalm 22 is aryeh; from the word araw - to pluck (in the sense of Violence); a [young] lion; rendered 'pierced' by the Translators. Jesus rose from dead and kept the piercings!

To Jean There are three that bear record in Heaven, the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit and theses THREE are one. God said let US make man. Jesus sits at the right hand of the Father. God said this is my beloved son, hear Him. We are to baptise in the name of the Father, Son, Holy Spirit. Steven said I see Jesus siting at the right hand of the Father. There are more I hope I made my point.
Zechariah chapter 12 v.8 tells plainly Israel will defeat all their close enemy neighbors next to or round about them taking all Jerusalem and land with it. This will be Israel 's next great war. Read Ezekiel 38 v.11 Israel has walls, bars and gates today. When Russia comes down there will be nowalls, bars or gates.

Revelation 21:23 And the city (you are the new Jerusalem), had no need of the sun, neither the moon, to shine in it; for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.

Isaiah 11:11-12
It shall come to pass in that day
That the LORD shall set His hand again the second time
To recover the remnant of
His people who are left,
From Assyria and Egypt,
From Pathros and Cush,
From Elam and Shinar,
From Hamath and the islands of the sea. He will set up a banner for the nations,
And will assemble the outcasts of Israel,
And gather together the dispersed of Judah
From the four corners of the earth.
Habakkuk 2:14
For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD As waters cover the sea.
Zechariah 12:8 "In that day the LORD will defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; the one who is feeble among them in that day shall be like David, and the house of David shall be like God, like the Angel of the LORD before them."
The moral characteristics of the kingdom are to be righteousness and peace. The meek, not the proud , will inherit the earth; longevity will be greatly increased; the knowledge of the LORD will be universal;
beast-ferocity will be removed;
absolute equity will be enforced; and open sin will be visited with instant judgement; whereas the enormous majority of earth's inhabitants will be saved Psalms 2:9; Isaiah 11:4,6-9; 26:9; 65:20; Zacharia 14:16-21
The NT Revelation 20:1-5 adds a detail of immence significance
God Bless us as we mature in the WORD.
In the Old Testament Israel was the CHURCH, a shadow of the coming true CHURCH.
Christ is the CHURCH, Christ is the promised ISRAEL through Isaac.
Christ SAID, destroy this CHURCH and in three days I will RAISE it up.
If you bear CHRIST IN YOU, you are the true house of Israel.
Hebrews 3:6 But Christ as a son over his own house (church), whose house (church) we are......
Revelation 21:22 And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the LAMB are the TEMPLE OF IT.
Matthew 19:28 .....ye shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
Zechariah 12:7 And I will save the tents of Judah FIRST...
The new covenant PRIESTHOOD comes from the tribe of Judah, the old covenant priesthood came from the tribe of Levi.

Mishael
Running out of space, I will send a Part 2:
Tim,
I would like to share with you my understanding of Matthew Chapter 24.
Those steps are fascinating!
of sin religion is sending countless to hell only Jesus Christ
