    Zechariah 2:6

"Ho, ho, come forth, and flee from the land of the north, saith the LORD: "

In these last days, we see satan copy the LORD. The above verse calls into question the tradition of Santa Claus. Did you know that early Christian's in America refused the idea of Santa Claus? It offended them.

Jesus said to be watchful of deception in the last days. We must ask if Santa is a deception? . How can santa be omniscient and all knowing? That is the realm of God. There is more to this santa than meets the eye. Research its occultism roots for yourself.

    Are we being deceived?

I tried to post this earlier and the moderators blocked it. I am not sure why? I read the comment guidelines. This is a basic and legitimate concern. I am going to try a second time to post a warning about this deception. It's time for all Christians to question everything.

    Hi Rjgil4769.

Genesis 12:2-3 is probably closest and the most popular.

Some try to associate these two verses with the Church along with all the promises and blessings prophesied to Israel. and all the cursings to the Nation Israel.

Antisemitism began in the early Church, as soon as Paul brought the Gospel to the Gentiles.

Some saw the Jews as the Christ killers, even though for this cause he come into the world.

ABRAHAM BELIEVED GOD and God blessed him!

God blesses the Nation Israel because he is faithful and remembers the Abrahamic covenant that is associated with the Davidic covenant.

A chosen people and a land here on earth is tied to those promises.

When we bless Israel we enlists ourselves as one who believes God also.

God brought Israel alive from a valley of dry bones and yet some say God is done with Israel.

Here's just a few of many verses similar to the answer of your question.

    Zechariah 2:8-9.

For thus saith the LORD of hosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye.

For, behold, I will shake mine hand upon them, and they shall be a spoil to their servants: and ye shall know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me.

    Zechariah 12:1-9.

    Zechariah 14:12.

    Psalms 122:6.

The Lord also punished Nations that relished when Israel was being punished by God. Obadiah 1:8-14.

Israel exists today because of promise not faithfulness to God.

They being brought back to the land because of prophetic promises not obedience.

    2 Samuel 7:23-24.

    God bless.

Hello Rjgil4769. There are many portions in the Bible, where we find that God promises to protect His people Israel. However, Israel, in their often disobedience & idolatry suffered much under God's Hand & were punished & given into the hands of their enemies. Yet, God's harsh dealings with them were to bring them back to Him, that they would reject all other gods & cleave only to Him. But suffer they did, but how long will it take for Israel to realize that they still spurn God's Love by rejecting Him & His Messiah Who came to redeem them? For this, Israel still suffers & will continue to do so until their eyes are opened & they shall see Him come in the clouds, "they also which pierced Him" ( Revelation 1:7)

Here are some Scriptures of God's care & promise to Israel: Genesis 12:1-3; Joshua 1:1-6; Psalm 83:1-18 (noting Asaph's appeal to God against those nations confederate against Israel. That all men might know the LORD' Name is Yahweh - not Allah); Psalm 122:6,7; Isaiah 41:8-16; Ezekiel chaps 38 & 39 (still future); Zechariah 2:8,9; Zechariah 12:2-9 (still future).

And we also see God's protection over Israel even after the birth of the Jewish State in May 1948: soon after this, five Arab armies (Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Lebanon & Iraq) came against a small Israeli opposition & were resoundly defeated. 1967 (six-day war) where Egypt, Jordan, Syria & Lebanon) attacked Israel to wipe them off the map. They were not only defeated by Israel but Israel captured the Sinai, Golan Heights, Gaza & the West Bank. 1973 (on Yom-Kippur), Egyptian & Syrian forces attacked Israel on this holy day (Day of Atonement). Once again Israel was able to defeat this surprise attack against them with the help of U.S. forces. And 2016, in December, a mysterious storm cloud (of dust and rain) put a barrier between Israel and ISIS. Reports say the storm stopped on the border of Syria and ISIS was 'unable' to enter Israel's Golan Heights area. God has not forgotten Israel.

    Hi Jordyn,

agree with you that Christmas is NOT a Biblical holiday. It has pagan roots and Santa Claus is actually Satan. He tries to copycat the LORD. (In my opinion, it's like identity theft.)

    1. God's throne is in the north. Santa comes from the North Pole.

    2. Santa says "HoHo Ho". There are 13 Biblical references to "Ho". For example, Zechariah 2:6 "Ho,ho, come forth and flee from the land of the north." (The north in this particular case is on physical earth, historically speaking. )

    3. Santa knows if you've been good or bad, a copycat of our LORD's omniscients.

Like every subject, a lot more can be said, but I'll stop here. In my family, we raised our children with Christmas and Easter. About 12 years ago, I learned the truth. Unfortunately, our adult children still do those holidays. I suppose it's hard to break a fun tradition. But, my husband and I celebrate ,instead, the feasts of the LORD. And, since Jesus is mentioned as being in Jerusalem during the feast of lights (a civil holiday), we do Hanukkah.

    Zechariah 2:1-2 state:

I lifted up mine eyes again, and looked, and behold a man with a measuring line in his hand. Then said I, Whither goest thou? And he said unto me, To measure Jerusalem, to see what is the breadth thereof, and what is the length thereof.

These verses seem similar to Revelation 11:1-2 but in this case the city itself is being measured; not just the Temple.

Verses 3-5 state: And, behold, the angel that talked with me went forth, and another angel went out to meet him,

And said unto him, Run, speak to this young man, saying, Jerusalem shall be inhabited as towns without walls for the multitude of men and cattle therein: For I, saith the Lord, will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her.

This wall of fire seems to indicate conditions during the Millennium; but there are also some parallels to the conditions before the battle of Gog and Magog as Ezekiel 38:11 states "And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates..." Some question if this is one event or also is indicative of the event at the END of the Millennium in Revelation 20 (or perhaps both).

Verse 6 through 8 state: Ho, ho, come forth, and flee from the land of the north, saith the Lord: for I have spread you abroad as the four winds of the heaven, saith the Lord. Deliver thyself, O Zion, that dwellest with the daughter of Babylon. For thus saith the Lord of hosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye.

This parallels verses such as Isaiah 49:12 "Behold, these shall come from far: and, lo, these from the north and from the west; and these from the land of Sinim." Starting in verse 9 of that chapter we see captives being released; again likely an event after the Tribulation.

    Hey brother S Spencer,

I know this has been discussed before and we have different understandings, but just have a couple of thoughts to consider, I will not go over all this prophecy just the first of 9:27.

If I am correct, it is thought the 69th week ended when Jesus' ride into Jerusalem fulfilling Zech. 9:9. Dan. 9:26 says 69 weeks unto the Messiah, should we look over the 3.5 years from when Jesus was baptized and anointed with the Holy Spirit? Look at the multitude that met Him when He rode in, they knew who He was, He came for the lost sheep of Israel.

The antichrist will make a covenant with Israel. We go to Dan. 9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: So here we have the last week/7 years and he is said to be the antichrist.

"He shall confirm the covenant with many", could he in this verse fit Jesus? Psalms 105:8-11 Isaiah 42:6 Isaiah 49:8 Isaiah 49:6 Romans 15:8 Galatians 3:17 Hebrews 13:20 I could list many more. The word confirm does not mean make, it shows us the covenant already existed. Confirm means to strengthen, to be stronger.

God made a covenant with Abraham and Abraham said God would provide Himself a Lamb, Genesis 22:7-8, was Jesus this Lamb, Isaiah 53:7 John 1:29 Revelation 5:6. This covenant is with many, Zechariah 2:11 Isaiah 53:11 Matthew 20:28 Matthew 26:28 Romans 5:15,19. Jesus was sent to confirm the promise/covenant made unto Abraham, Romans 15:8. Could Jesus be this he?

"In the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease" Sacrifice and Oblation, the first word is talking about the daily sacrifices, the Tamid, the morning and evening lamb the same time Jesus was on the cross 9 AM the first to 3 PM the last. Then the second word refers to all of the other offerings presented to the Lord.

Do you think the sacrifice and oblation was designed by God to completely cease upon the finished work of Jesus on the cross? Hebrews 9.

    God bless,

    Jeremiah 49:36

And upon Elam will I bring the four winds from the four quarters of heaven, and will scatter them toward all those winds; and there shall be no nation whither the outcasts of Elam shall not come.

    Revelation 7:1

And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.

    Zechariah 2:6

Ho, ho, come forth, and flee from the land of the north, saith the LORD: for I have spread you abroad as the four winds of the heaven, saith the LORD.

    Matthew 24:31

And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

    Mark 13:27

And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.

In Job 1 we see that Satan can cause destructive winds that kill people, animals and communities.

Also that God owns the storehouses of Rain, Snow and Hail.

I understand what you are saying. I believe it also.

I have never been able to ignore the verses below.

The wars going on in the Mideast today are prophetic. It's as if the restraints of the Palestinians are removed. Not everybody understands the last wars. We are living in prophetic time:

The Jews would fight for their right to return to and live in Israel. Get back the land that Palestinians occupied in their absence. They had to love Israel. They began to farm the land and build vineyards. They had to LOVE THE LAND again.

And then all the Jews that had dispersed to other nations or other religions, to escape the German invasion; had to start returning HOME. The occupiers were chased out. The returning Jews needed their ancestral homes back. Even more people are farming and loving the land God set aside just for them. The FIG TREE began to Bloom again.

Then the wars, endless meddling politicians paraded over to convince the Jews to part with portions of land. God gave them the land! The deed of the boundaries are in the Bible. God cut a blood covenant with Abraham. That Covenant is still in FORCE. The Jews are wrong to trade land for Peace, which they are being forced to do.

The Christian Jews know this. But those that rule over Israel will not change their mind. It's a terrible thing to own that you killed the expected Messiah. The Orthodox Jews will not change their minds. The returning Jews must prove their ancestry.

The Jews must accept Jesus as their Messiah and Savior, and fight for their right to believe so.

The final hurdle is for the Jews to Love God and accept Jesus as their Messiah, and fight for their legal right to live; and live in Israel. We're almost there. Jews will be left behind because they refuse Jesus as their Messiah

Look these up: Psalm 17:8, Deuteronomy 38:9-11, Zechariah 2:8.

Jacobs name changed to Israel. We should do as asked: pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Do we do that I wonder?

    Hey SolaScrip,

Is there scripture outside Revelation that confirms an exact 1000 years? The answer is no. Are there false teachers out there? The answer is yes, there are many, 1 John 4:1. Are there scriptures that say the Son of God will reign on earth? The answer is yes. Psalm 2:6-9 Psalm 22:27-31 Isaiah 2:1-4 Isaiah 9:6-7 Isaiah 24:21-23 Jeremiah 23:5 Ezekiel 20:33-44 Ezekiel 39:21-29 Zechariah 2:10-13 Zechariah 8:2-3 Zechariah 14:1-9 Matthew 19:28 Revelation 11:15 Revelation 20:4 and more.

Is there any scripture that says people will go to or reign in heaven? The answer is no. Are there scriptures that say the elect will reign with Jesus on earth? The answer is yes. Daniel 7:27 2 Timothy 2:11-13 Revelation 5:10. Are there scriptures that describe how things change after Jesus returns? The answer is yes. Zechariah 8:4 Isaiah 11 Isaiah 60:15 Isaiah 65:18-25. These people will be alive on the second coming of Jesus, they will have the opportunity to live longer if they choose to obey God.

Are there things that have not been revealed to us? The answer is, yes? Jesus will return and set up the kingdom here on earth and He will put all enemies under His feet, 1 Corinthians 15:25. Will death still be during the time Jesus is ruling? The answer is yes. The purpose is to fulfill the rest of the scriptures with Jesus, Israel, the Gentiles, and creation that has not yet been fulfilled.

The only scripture that gives us 1000 years is Revelation, but many scriptures tell us the kingdom will be set up on earth. We have these, Numbers 14:21 Psalms 115:16 Micah 4:1-3 Matthew 5:5 Matthew 6:10. Not to debate, with the time it will take I cannot say the 1000 years are false.

    God bless,

    Hi Kathy,

I would like to add to the truth Cait has given referencing Hebrews 12:18-23. For ye are not come unto the mount that might be touched, and that burned with fire, nor unto blackness, and darkness, and tempest,

And the sound of a trumpet, and the voice of words; which voice they that heard intreated that the word should not be spoken to them any more:

(For they could not endure that which was commanded, And if so much as a beast touch the mountain, it shall be stoned, or thrust through with a dart:

And so terrible was the sight, that Moses said, I exceedingly fear and quake:)

BUT YE ARE COME UNTO MOUNT SION, AND UNTO THE CITY OF THE LIVING GOD, THE ( HEAVENLY JERUSALEM, ) and to an innumerable company of angels,

To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,

Notice the contrast. In Exodus 19:10-12. THE LORD TELL MOSES TO SANCTIFY THE PEOPLE AND TELL THEM TO WASH THERE CLOTHES, and bring them the third day, and they still couldn't touch the border of the law given mountain!!

In the Heavenly Jerusalem God don't wash garments, he gives new ones.

    Zechariah 2:10-13.

    Zechariah 3:1-9.

    Ephesians 4:20-24.

    Colossians 3:9-10.

    Parallel-

Galatians 4:21-26. Tell me, ye that desire to be under the law, do ye not hear the law?

For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman.

But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by promise.

WHICH THINGS ARE AN ALLEGORY: FOR THESE ARE THE TWO COVENANTS; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar.

For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children.

BUT JERUSALEM WHICH IS ABOVE IS FREE, WHICH IS THE MOTHER OF US ALL.

    Romans 8:3-4.

A general area to study in.

    Hopefully someone will add.

    God bless.

This chapter is so amazing. It let's the redeem know that the church was plan before the world began We must remember God knows the end before we began and he prepared us for eternal life with Him if we choose to abide in His word. There are many religion but there is only one church and one Kingdom of God. The only way we can enter the Kingdom is by the Body of Christ which is the true Church. And we must be Born again in the spirit and washed in the blood of Jesus who is our redeemer and Savior.

    Bob Hilt,

Do you believe that God will break all of the promises He has made to Israel, the "apple of His eye?" ( Zechariah 2:8).

Are you convinced that He will just forget His chosen people ( Deuteronomy 7:6, Isaiah 44:1, etc., etc., etc.)

God is the Judge ( Psalms 54:1).

You search the Scriptures to try to condemn God's chosen people and call Jews cursed.

The Olive tree that your are trying to be grafted into as the wild branch are these same cursed Jews? Look at Romans 11:16-22.

And what are you going to do with the words of Luke in Acts 28:26-29?

Are we not going to believe another promise of God just so you can condemn our brothers?

26 Saying, Go unto this people, and say, Hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and not perceive:

27 For the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

28 Be it known therefore unto you, that the salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles, and that they will hear it.

29 And when he had said these words, the Jews departed, and had great reasoning among themselves.

    Will the Jews that love God not see and understand when the Messiah returns;

and "every knee" will bow? ( Romans 14:11, Philippians 2:11)

John 1-1 says the word was God not is God. in heb.1 paul speaks of God begetting a Son.Why is it so hard to believe that God has a Son. He has said so and Jesus has said so are we supposed to believe that they are both lying to us. I would encourage those who really want to know the truth study what the King James Bible has to say about the Holy Ghost, it is a long study but worth it,

The fact is Jesus was born, He came into the world to atone for our sins,He was resurrected, and He's alive today. This is what we should celebrate, as we are told in the Old Testament in such passages as Zechariah 2:10: Shout and be glad, O Daughter of Zion. For I am coming, and I will live among you,' declares the LORD. In fact Jesus Christ is Jehovah God in the flesh! Celebrate every day!!

Saw bold letter Zaccl 2 and read it as zachariah 2. It's very good to be reassured by the Lord that He determines our path, fights and wine our battles but most importantly that He reigns above all powers and principalities, that everlasting joy is promised and will be delivered to those who believe. Let's share this definite hope. He reigns, our Lord reigns.

Verse 8, it is my opinion that when the term, Lord of hosts, is used it is in reference to the Lord being in control of military action. The word Glory can have different meanings but when used with Lord of hosts then it means the glory of winning battles. The Lord will have the nations that attacked Israel, attacked in response and those leaders that oppose Israel will fail in their efforts with the people supporting them.

WOW what a blessed insight into the heart of god to know that his affections are so tied to his word and power to execute His determined course of action to relieve and deliver his own precious child from the continuing attacks from the enemy. I find great strength and confidence in reading this and will submit it to memory for my own times of meditation. It helps me to know that I am not alone and that god takes seriously those who willfully and maliciously trouble me, I need to know that he is faithful in fighting my battles.
