Good evening, guess some of the seals are on the mind this evening.
In Zechariah 3:1-4 Joshua was with an angel of the LORD and Satan was there to resist him. Though Jerusalem was precious in the Lord's eye, Satan looked down on Israel not able to keep the Commandments of God and thus remaining in filthy garments, yet, God rebukes Satan and changes Joshua's raiment by taking away his iniquity.
The white robes of the fifth seal were also a change of raiment for the souls that were slain for the word of God and were given rest under the alter until their fellow servants and their brethren lives were also taken.
What these Saints had battled was Satan and his angels standing up against them as they washed their filthy garments in the blood of the Lamb at Calvary. These Saints are asking how long will the Lord wait to avenge their blood on the earth. It would be likely the vengeance they are asking for is against evil spirits standing against man's salvation.
God says that the words he speaks will not return unto him void, that all his words and thoughts will be fulfilled.
God says ALL THINGS work for the GOOD of his creation.
It was spoken from the foundation of the world that he would be betrayed by his friend that ate at the same table with him.
Man calls that man evil, God says it was good, to fulfill his words.
Which is it?
From the foundations of the world, David and Bathsheba were chosen to carry the bloodline of Christ, they fulfilled his words, though man sees that union as a sin (evil).
The word says God created everything for his good pleasure, and he doth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth, and no one can stay his hand.
Now man call most of these things evil, God sees the end, that God will be ALL in ALL, as GOOD.
So man calls the most of the works of God evil, yet God calls his works good.
Which is it?
Zechariah 3:1 And he shewed me Joshua the high priest standing before the Angel of the Lord, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him.
We are called to be priest, in God's Kingdom, but we have to be overcomers of Satan's deception.
8 Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, thou, and thy fellows that sit before thee: for they are men wondered at: for, behold, I will bring forth my servant the Branch.
9 For behold the stone that I have laid before Joshua; upon one stone shall be seven eyes: behold, I will engrave the graving thereof, saith the Lord of hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.
10 In that day, saith the Lord of hosts, shall ye call every man his neighbour under the vine and under the fig tree.
These passages are deep with prophetic meanings. Christ (or the Branch) will bring the atonement; and allow fulfillment for Joshua and his fellowservants (part of the assembly inclusive of all saints) through the sevenfold spirit of God ( Revelation 1:4).
The stone that is engraved perhaps is signifying a new covenant like the one in Exodus 32:16; or is like the seal of the Spirit
in Ephesians 1:13; or 2 Corinthians 1:22.
Verse 10 is cross referenced by Micah 4:4 and other passages; indicating the Millennial promises for Israel which likely extends to the whole world at that time.
Here we see the reference to the two olive trees with the golden lampstand and the explanation. This parallels Revelation 11:4 as seen at the end of the chapter in verse 14. This chapter seems to imply Zerubbabel and Joshua as being the individuals in question here; while Revelation stronly suggests Elijah will return in the Tribulation ( Malachi 3:1). The second individual in my opinion based on Hebrews 9:27 could be Enoch; others have suggested other possibilities.
Thoughts on the Rapture and timing as well as reasoning/
Note: I can't find the prequel as it were to this thread; so the audience may be limited. I may get into further discussion on the main discussion area but will try to sum things up here.
A major issue here that I have opened the "can of worms" on is; in regard to just who is identified as those dressed in white garments which were made that way through blood ( Rev. 7:14 referring to robes). It certainly can be expected that the witness of the 144,000 will bring many to faith and willing martyrdom. Other verses referring those whose garments were made white make verses such as Revelation 3:4; and Zechariah 3:3 be contrasted with Ephesians 5:27. For if some in Laodicea are naked among other things; surely anyone with a garment in God's presence is saved; although it is much like Jude 1:23 being saved as though through the fire; or 1 Corinthians 3:15 where one suffers loss and not much remains after their works are burned up by and large. In other words I would argue that to have a garment in the first place we are saved; if we allow sin to spot it then there are certain ramifications; including what I propose as missing the reward of a rapture if indeed it is more than just a salvation prerequisite. I would strongly suggest in these last days; there is little fruit being produced; and the Lord of the harvest is looking for it. He will either purge us to produce more fruit ( John 15:2) or as the same verse indicates we are not His child (producing no fruit) and are eventually cut off. Again; we need to broaden our scope and see those who are unbelievers; those judged more harshly for hearing and rejecting the truth; lukewarm believers and those who are producing much fruit. We must as Hebrews suggest; believe God is a rewarder of those things done for Him ( Heb. 11:6). We also should pay attention to those seeking a better country ( Heb. 11:16) of those who willingly gave up their lives for this.
All our sins are covered by the blood of Christ, to repent is to turn from deception, as God opens our eyes to truth, we are constantly repenting of lies and deception, as God reveals himself to us, God causes us to be his adversary, so when we came to truth, we give him all the glory.
Zechariah 3:1 And he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angle of the Lord, and Satan (lies and deception) standing at his right hand to resist him.
Psalms 74:10 Oh Lord, how long will the adversary reproach? shall the enemy (lies and deception) blaspheme thy name for ever?
John 16:8 And when he (the Holy Spirit) is COME (he came at Pentecost) he will reprove the world of sin ....
John 16:9 Of SIN; because they BELIEVE NOT ON ME (truth);
No knowledge of God's word.
Zechariah 3:1 And he shewed me Joshua (Christ in you) the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD; and SATAN (unbelief, deception) standing at his (Christ's) right hand TO RESIST HIM (TRUTH).
Christ is now THE LIFE in you.
You; Nelson (sinful flesh), died on the cross of Christ.
The LIFE now IN YOU is the LIFE OF CHRIST.
Christ cannot sin: your his body, the body ONLY DOES what the LIFE causes it TO DO.
Philippians 2:13 For it is God (Christ in you) that worketh IN YOU both TO WILL and TO DO his good pleasure.
1 John 3:9 Whosoever is BORN of GOD doth not commit sin (because the new birth in you is CHRIST); for HIS SEED (the Holy Spirit) remaineth in HIM (the new creation in Christ Jesus): he CANNOT SIN, because he is born of God.
Ezekiel 36:27 And I will put MY SPIRIT (GOD) within you, and CAUSE you to walk in my statutes, and you shall keep my JUDGEMENTS, and DO THEM.
Few find the WAY:
Matthew 7:14 ...narrow is the WAY, which leadeth unto LIFE, and Few there be that find it.
Nelson; walk in the TRUTH and FREEDOM of Christ's words.
Commandments; if they were a NATURAL thing to do wouldn't need the Spirit of God to accomplish; merely our own efforts.
The meaning behind the commandments that Christ illustrates; such as that of lust and murder clearly point out the intentions of our heart as being part of what is within that produces BAD fruit in unregenerate men.
Cutting right to the chase; as Zechariah 3:3 and other verses state we have filthy garments when sin has contaminated us; and it seems clear even as believers this can happen. Our righteous deeds are as filthy rags ( Isaiah 64:6) and we need to understand that all of our love and affections also are self centered without Christ. Once we recognize our helpless state; then we can as Isaiah state "woe to me; I am undone." ( Isaiah 6:5). At that point then we can BEGIN to do the works of righteousness He has prepared for us from the foundation of the earth ( Eph. 2:10).
Then; of course we have to heed to sins not just of commission but OMISSION. And also avoiding things that are grey areas that may offend a brother or if we know to do good and don't do it is sin ( James 4:17). We can therefore; never do the law perfectly; and it must be done with the Holy Spirit within us.
Without the Spirit; even those things which are specifically warned against will; as man becomes increasingly blind be succumbed to; as wickedness increases; consciousness becomes seared even Israel was seduced to follow foreign gods warned against and they sacrificed their children to Molech; and worshipped idols. The teachers of the law became hypocrites; "sons of hell" as Jesus referred them to. And we can't follow the 1st Commandment on our own strength; or love the law as Psalm 119 the longest psalm in scripture indicates in the whole passage. Yes; as Christians if we love Him we obey His commandments.
We also TRUST God that these are what is best for us; even if as with human fathers it is not enjoyable in the short term.
I believe it was to clearly point out the fulfillment of Prophecy. Please see:
Son of David prophecy : 1Kings 9:5, Jeremiah 33:17, 2Chronicles 7:18, Psalms 132:11,

I would like to add to the truth Cait has given referencing Hebrews 12:18-23. For ye are not come unto the mount that might be touched, and that burned with fire, nor unto blackness, and darkness, and tempest,
And the sound of a trumpet, and the voice of words; which voice they that heard intreated that the word should not be spoken to them any more:
(For they could not endure that which was commanded, And if so much as a beast touch the mountain, it shall be stoned, or thrust through with a dart:
And so terrible was the sight, that Moses said, I exceedingly fear and quake:)
BUT YE ARE COME UNTO MOUNT SION, AND UNTO THE CITY OF THE LIVING GOD, THE ( HEAVENLY JERUSALEM, ) and to an innumerable company of angels,
To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,
Notice the contrast. In Exodus 19:10-12. THE LORD TELL MOSES TO SANCTIFY THE PEOPLE AND TELL THEM TO WASH THERE CLOTHES, and bring them the third day, and they still couldn't touch the border of the law given mountain!!
In the Heavenly Jerusalem God don't wash garments, he gives new ones.
Zechariah 2:10-13.
Zechariah 3:1-9.
Ephesians 4:20-24.
Colossians 3:9-10.
Parallel-
Galatians 4:21-26. Tell me, ye that desire to be under the law, do ye not hear the law?
For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman.
But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by promise.
WHICH THINGS ARE AN ALLEGORY: FOR THESE ARE THE TWO COVENANTS; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar.
For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children.
BUT JERUSALEM WHICH IS ABOVE IS FREE, WHICH IS THE MOTHER OF US ALL.
Dgjot, to add, somethings mentioned : in Daniel 10:7-13,21, -continues - Daniel 11:1 , Daniel 12:1, Zechariah 3:1-3, speaks also about rebuke, more on Michael- Revelations 12:7,
Zechariah 3:1 And he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the Lord, and Satan standing at his right hand to RESIST HIM.
Our flesh has the spirit of Satan telling us that God's word is not TRUTH. Our mind of flesh has to be destroyed and CREATED to the mind of CHRIST.
God's word says his Spirit CAUSES us to do HIS WILL. Our flesh through the spirit of Satan RESIST and says that's not true God has given man FREE WILL and man can make his own choices, that it's man's choice (free will) and not GOD's WILL that WILL BE DONE.
God's WILL ( 1 Timothy 2:4) is that all creation will BE SAVED. Man through the spirit of Satan RESIST and says man has the choice (free will) to be saved or not be saved.

Actually in Isaiah chapter 14:12-16, satan says I WILL 5 times!
God is not destroying people's lives. One of satans other names is: DESTROYER. And he is the ACCUSER of the brethern. Revelation 12:10, Job 1:6,12 and Zechariah 3:1
Part of our problem is that we do not trust God. We think he does all the painful things. Like why is he allowing satan to get near us? Hear that accusatory question? Or, why doesn't Jesus just heal everybody? Why does bad things happen to good people?
There is the WILL of God. God gave free will to mankind in the garden of Eden. Satan has a will too. He's not going to do anything good with it. Read Job 1. He's defeated. Intercede for loved ones.
"And he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him. And the LORD said unto Satan, The LORD rebuke thee, O Satan; even the LORD that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: is not this a brand plucked out of the fire?" ( Zechariah 3:1-2)
Actually in Isaiah chapter 14:12-16, satan says I WILL 5 times!
God is not destroying people's lives. One of satans other names is: DESTROYER.
Pass it on. He is the accuser of the brethern. Revelation 12:10, Job 1:6,12 and Zechariah 3:1
Part of our problem is that we do not trust God. We think he does all the painful things. Like why is he allowing satan to get near us? That's that voice of the ACCUSER. Another name of satan... or, why doesn't Jesus just heal everybody?
Something I do is read all the red scriptures in my Bible. I wanna imprint what Jesus does, what he says. Something really happens to your perception. He doesn't argue, debate or nitpick.

Get rowdy when the accuser shows up.
I ask the Lord what to read and Zechariah chapter 3 inter my mind and spirit. The conformation for me is spiritual war fair.GOD has chosen me to do a might work. Satan goes before the Lord to he has made a mistake, but the Lord rebuke Satan. (AND DO I) The Lord inform Satan is this not a brand that is plucked out of the fire. I am filthy, but the Lord cause my iniquity to pass. AMEN.
V10- Jesus = vine. John 15:1 I am the true vine, John 15:4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. The fig tree= Israel, James 3:12 Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh. The 2 religions are separate.
Perhaps the BRANCH in verse 8 is the same as the Redeemer in verse 20, chapter 59 of Isaiah. This may be Jesus filled with the Holy Spirit directing the Christian nations of the world. The Holy Spirit of God is the corner stone of righteousness which unites the Christian people that face Satan 's conflict. Perhaps the 7 eyes are 7 predominately Christian nations.
Verse3, garments do not always represent clothing in the Bible. In Isa. 59 verse 17 garments are vengeance. Perhaps Joshua was filled with hate and wanted vengeance when he faced the Lords angel. The emotion of vengeance must be removed before peace can be established.
Satan calls God's work evil.
Which is it?
God BLESS YOU!

Romans 8:3-4.
A general area to study in.
Hopefully someone will add.
God bless.
In Zechariah 3:2 the meaning could include: to check (meaning to stop; to restrain; to hinder; to curb) or to restrain by Moral Force.
Whose will, WILL BE DONE, God's or man's.
God is not destroying people's lives. One of satans other names is: DESTROYER.
Pass it on. He is the accuser of the brethern. Revelation 12:10, Job 1:6,12 and Zechariah 3:1

Something I do is read all the red scriptures in my Bible. I wanna imprint what Jesus does, what he says. Something really happens to your perception. He doesn't argue, debate or nitpick.

Get rowdy when the accuser shows up.
