From my research Assarat is in Niger West Africa that is were the biblical TEN TRIBES were taken and they still live there today by the Afara/Efara River ie the River Niger and Benue, called Euphrates by scholars. Another Bible verse that supports that the TEN TRIBES are in West Africa is 2 Kings 17:6;18:11 here the places the were deported were mentioned. Gozan(Gozange) is in Sokoto in Nigeria, Habor(Abor and Agbor) these two places are in Enugu/Delta state in Nigeria, Hala(Alala in Niger) , Medes/media(Maday in Cameroon). Another witness is Amos 5:27 which says Israel(TEN TRIBES) will be carried into Captivity to Damascus. Now Damasak is what the translators changed to Damascus and is located in Yobe and Borno,Nigeria. Zephaniah 3:10 also says the disperse are deyound/across the Rivers(Nile River) of Ethiopia/Cush. Across the Rivers of Ethiopa is in West Africa.

    Anonymous,

Doo not give heed to what your friends say. They know nothing about what God can do in a person. In Jesus, you are made a new creation. The old person died with Jesus on the cross and when you believed in Him, He gave you new life in Him. In His life there is not bisexuallity or homosexuality. His will is only for believers to be heterosexual as we are designed to be by Him. So, since He has made you a new creation in Him and You now have His life operating in you, you indeed can live the rest of your life as a straight person. But even more than that, because of His grace, you now have the power to live a holy (set apart for God) and godly (doing what Jesus would do) life.

Just for thought, I'd like to mention how confusing and crazy the teen years can be, as you know in the present. But being determined to live by faith in Jesus and trusting that the Holy Spirit will guide you and protect your life in Christ, you can move forward towards adulthood stronger and with more wisdom than ever before. Stay the course of faith, Anonymous. God will see you through. Your friends do not define who you are, Jesus does. And their approval or disapproval is insignificant when you consider that you are "approved of God in Christ", His precious child who loves you more that your friends ever could (by leaps and bounds) and He treasures you. So, remember, your approval and worth are drawn from God. He smiles on you, delights in you, and sings over you. ( Zephaniah 3:14-17, especially verse 17).

    Larry,

I was encouraged through your faith. Even through those tragedies: you proclaim love for Biblical Truth & trusting GOD's ways are always helpful.

Your comment is very difficult to answer because of the severe troubles you've faced & currently living in. I've had to take time with GOD & through the Holy Spirit leading without emotional bias, etc. Know, I have lifted the whole situation up in prayer.

Here are powerful scriptures to hopefully help emotionally, spiritually, with strength in faith & hope to endure; for each day or every moment you need them. Psalms 43:1,

    For wisdom : Proverbs 29:27, Zephaniah 3:5, Luke 16:10, Matthew 25:31-46, Luke 18, Proverbs 21:3, Isaiah 58 - Isaiah 59, Ecclesiastes 5:8,

    James 1:19,20,

Marc, I will pray for you.

Dear Heavenly Father, hear Marc's prayers today and answer according to Your perfect will. We thank you that You are a shield about us and are always able and willing to deliver us from the wiles of the enemy who rails against us in order to oppose You. Bring healing and health to Marc and direct his ways as he seeks Your will for the direction of his life now.

We thank You that You will never leave us nor forsake us. We trust You for this promise today. Help us in the present trials we encounter and so build up our faith in You and our resolve to live for You no matter what. LORD God, we know that You see and know all things, so even in times when it seems we are in a dark time, You see through the dark and know all that is going on and also are always bringing about Your benevolent will in our lives. Help us to not falter by giving into doubt or despair in the hardships, but instead, help us to know that You will bring us through to the other side of our troubles.

I am so glad that you rejoice of us with gladness, quiet us with Your love, and revoice over us with singing, as You said in Zephaniah 3:17. How beautiful and soothing is this for us to know! Praise You God for You are Mighty to save us from every problem, hardship, and evil. You bless us; we thank You today. Be mighty in Marc's life today. We ask these things in the name of Your Son, Jesus. Amen.

    Hey Benjamin,

I agree with S Spencer and Noel, for those of us who have heard of Jesus and are called and have accepted Jesus as our savior the answer would be no.

I would like to give my understanding; God is a loving God Zephaniah 3:17 God will help and strengthen us Isaiah 41:10 God is just and upright Deuteronomy 32:4 and God is love and merciful Ephesians 2:4.

There are millions of people who lived and died before Jesus first came, and millions who have lived and died since who have never heard who Jesus is and what He offers. What happens to them? Everyone who is alive today and all who have lived in the past has the knowledge of good and evil thanks to the first Adam.

The white throne judgment many teach is only for the lost and unrighteous, my understanding is different. In Revelation 20:11-15 all the rest of the dead is judged, small and great and the books were open, and they were judged from the things written in the books, according to their works. In verse 15 it says this, "And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire". Along with other scriptures, my understanding is there were some names in the book of life.

God only knows, some scripture gives a clue, People under the law being judged by the law and those who do by nature the things contained in the law not under the law (judged from the things written in the books) Romans 2:12-15, and if the white throne judgment is for lost only, how do we understand these verses, Daniel 12:2 Matthew 25:32-46 John 5:28-29 Acts 24:14-15.

    God bless,

    Hi Gregory Byrd,

My sincere condolences on your loss as well & sorry to hear you are facing some difficulties. You are NOT alone.. we each have gone through difficulties & at times it may seem that the Lord is distant ..or even just not around, but let me assure you He IS! One of my most favorite Bible verses is Zephaniah 3:17 "The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing." Even while you're reading this, He is singing over YOU!!

My comments about the Deity of Christ and how do we know that Christ is truly God the son without any doubt whatsoever. We know that Christ is truly God the Son by his seed. He is truly able to reproduce very God with his seed thats y he is saying to whom the word came ( his seed ) it made them Gods and the scripture cannot be broken . It was God Almighty his absolute father that said that everything has to multiply after its Kind and we see that Christ his absolute son is able to Multiply after the God kind Thats y he is saying that which is born of the spirit (His word/seed ) is Spirit as God is Spirit thus he able to reproduce very GOD WITH HIS WORD WHICH IS HIS SEED SOWN IN US. Jesus breathe on them and they received the H.G. YA GOTTA REALIZE THAT HIS BREATH WAS HIS WORD AND HIS WORD IS HIS SEED. thus he reproduces after the God kind which is the H.G. Receive ye the H.G. thus he WD HAVE TO BE GOD THE SON . And his word his seed cannot return unto him void it has to prosper in what it was sent to do a birth of Christ in us ( the new birth ) our salvation is by his word . He cd not reproduce, multiply after tHE GOD KIND if he were not GOD the son,Unto the son he says thy throne O GOD IS FOREVER OK GBU

Dear Xaviar & Chris, Just my thinking and thoughts about the other creation of people and Dinosaurs on Earth before

Adam and Eve. I believe they were destroyed before the Garden active. The massive comet/asteroid around 65

million years ago. Adam lived 930 years and Cain living 730 years....maybe Cain married a sister or another relative. because HERE IS THE WORD that has branded my brain. Genesis 1:28 God said (Replenish) the Earth. Meaning..

Fill up again or Restore. Then again to Noah and his sons after Flood...Replenish the Earth in Genesis 9:1. Just some of

the things I have thought about. we really won't know all these things until and IF God wants us to know in the end.

Yes, we get an indication of the physical Satan in Ezekiel 28:12-19. Though Ezekiel is directing his prophecy to the King of Tyrus, we understand that through the description of his wickedness, the picture of Satan (& specifically Satan's former position in Heaven as a 'cherub' & 'having being in the Garden of Eden') clearly show us a dual meaning to this prophecy. Yes, Satan had beauty & perfection (verses 12,13,17) & as a cherub, that position is normally associated in being in close proximity to God's Presence (as in the Tabernacle on Earth & over the Ark of the Covenant), & in relation to God's Holiness.

Why did Satan go bad? Verse 17 tells us that his heart "was lifted up because of his beauty". Not that he always admired himself 'in the mirror', but his heart was lifted up against the Most High, believing that he was as good or better than God. See Isaiah 14:12-15, & particularly, that he was perfect, Ezekiel 28:15 (sinless, as all the other heavenly beings), until his pride took over & he believed he was better than God. But the big question: how was it possible for Satan to sin, & can other heavenly beings likewise sin? It seems that even by being in the Holy Presence of God & finding complete delight in worshipping Him, there can still be that element of choice. For in his pride & estrangement from God, he also gathered to himself other 'defecting' angels (see 2 Peter 2:4; Revelation 12:7-9; Jude 1:6).

We see Jesus in His humanity, though pure & sinless, He was tempted of Satan (Matthew chapter 4). Jesus resisted Satan using God's Word against him. However, Satan was in the presence of God & His Word in Heaven, yet allowed the thought of grandeur to enter in & develop into sin ( James 1:15) & finally a full blown wickedness that saw him banished from God's Presence & ever since, working against God to bring & keep humanity in his solid grip. But the Cross of Jesus brings us release from that grip - if we can only trust Jesus for it.

And this is Our Good News O' Israel; we who prescribed to God what we wanted from His Messiah, we who mistakenly proclaimed to the poor & needy an earthly translation of law upon God's eternal, we whose eyes remain closed...OUR CAPTIVITY IS OVER! Come & let us reason together as One Israel & go to The Lord Christ Jesus humbly seeking God's Freedom from Our Sins.

This scripture could be applied to any Christian going through a trial of life. We are all rescued by our God who fights battles that we ourselves could not hope to win. We delight in singing praises to our God and yet he shows the same delight in expressing his love for his children by singing praises to them ! In the final summation God's final word to his people is love. It is in that great love that he will rest and his children forever.
  • Chris - In Reply on Zephaniah 3:19 - 4 years ago
Donna, as with understanding any portion of Scripture, one needs to also learn something about the book one is reading & the times & situations that the book is written in. Zephaniah was a prophet of God, sent to help God's people (tribe of Judah) towards spiritual revival. You see, the people had become very wicked under the wicked kings of that day (Manasseh & Amon), & so Zephaniah came to call the people to repentance. After pronouncing God's Judgement on Judah & on the Gentile nations, the future promise to Judah was that if they turned back to the LORD, they would once again enjoy His Blessings. However, these blessings would not be fully realized by them, or even the Jews today, until Christ comes to reign on Earth in the Millennial period ( Zeph 3:11-20). The blessings? They would be purified (vv 10-13); Christ would be reigning in their midst (v 15); they would be secure (vv 16,17): how insecure Israel is today with enemies about her; her enemies would be punished (v 19: your query of this verse: God will drive out her enemies, bring Israel together again & receive the praise for dealing so with her enemies & for putting her to shame). What a joyful time for Israel again when they finally acknowledge Jesus Christ is indeed the Messiah they were looking for & the One they crucified over 2000 yrs ago. All the Muslim nations that are against her today (sons of Ishmael) will be left destitute & in judgement for how they have dealt with God's people in these days. I hope this short explanation has been helpful for you to understand this Book. God bless you as you read God's Holy Word.

...but tonight, Christ's Father willed for Christ to open up my heart to accept it, and He gave me wisdom through SEEING what He DID...Himself, though I've intellectually known ALL of this since childhood, basically, and it's been the thing God has made KNOWN to me since I was LITERALLY a SMALL child (that I feared God's will of persecution for my personal life). God chose some things for some people that are different than what He chose for the majority around said "some people." Like in Zephaniah 3:12. No matter WHAT a person does, GOD's will is the ONLY will FOR that person! And God doesn't always reveal things, so people WILL "friend of Job" and understandably disobey Matthew 7:1-5

My goal is to bring everybody together over the freedom of religion, by coming together over unbelief. As Gods anointed, I say about Romans 11:32, where he says, "For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all" I say then we all can say yeah right! Abreviated, that's Y. R., which can be used in our english language, Y - Yeah, R ouR Right to see things differently! The letters can be formed using our arms up for Y, then down, hands cupped around left eye with the loop of the R. Right hand down first. Then high five the next person, or just high five the sky, all to the count of five. See Zephaniah 3:9 and Micah 2:6 7 about the spirit of the LORD. Ps46.

Often, I see, people say this nation or that group is sinful. It's written we are members of the body of Christ. It is written it is better to put out your eye then for the whole body to go to the pit. To remove that member. As you read Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, you'll see those verses. So, we need to look at the beams in our own eyes, before condemning a whole nation or body of a country.

As a minister, I've been asked many times if I pray an hour each day. My reply is, "I may not pray an hour a day, but there is not an hour in the day I do not pray." Praying is communication with our heavenly Father. He wants us to talk with Him and thank Him for the many blessings He has bestowed upon us. If you can't find a certain item, ask Him to open your eyes that you may see it. When you do, give Him thanks. This is having communion with Him. Keep His name on your lips throughout the day and He will hear you. Zephaniah 3:17 says "He rejoices over you with singing." How awesome is this?!!!!!!!
