This is one of my favorite Psalms. This lets you know it is alright to trust him because he got us covered and that he does give us a way of escape and that is through him. All we have to do is trust him, never give up and make sure you are his and have accepted him as your personal savior. Pray without ceasing. He is truly the head of my life.
Hebrews 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
Put your trust in the Lord. Do not trust in other things in this world. Keep trusting in God. Read and meditate in the Bible everyday. Apply scriptures in your life.
God is good all the time I just love the lord I know God hears my prayers and I'm never alone because if my God he's turned my life around i went from being an addict to a recoverying addict thank u lord god
In response to Patrick Golding, Every baptism thar took place in the book of Acts was done so I. The name of Jesus Christ or in the name of Jesus. Please reread Acts this is what Jesus taught them to do as he walked and taught them for 40 days on earth after the resesurrection.
We all sin and this digs deep in your soul and let’s GOD know just how sorry you are and begs for mercy and asks to be forgiven while taking responsibility
What an unhappy life; always struggling with sin. What if you die suddenly in your sin and don't have time to ask for forgiveness? Jesus said the wages of sin is death. An eternity in hell, away from His Prescence forever in unimaginable torture. Does your soul end up there or does God somehow wave the sin away because He knew you would have repented if you would have had the chance. He realized He should have given you a little longer to live so you could do this, therefore since it's kind of His fault He wipes the sin away and lets you into heaven. This is nonsensical, of course, because the simple truth is if a soul dies in sin their wages are death.
Sinning/Christian - an oxymoron: (a combination of contradictory or incongruous words. Merriam-Webster Dictionary.)
and also nonsensical when compared to scripture. God Bless :)
This Psalm is such a good example of how David was a man after God's own heart, yet found sin in his heart that he knew was truly against God and sought Him for forgiveness and cleansing. I would hope to be as David and as Him often to examine me and show me any sinful way in me. David hated that he had done or said or thought things that have offended the God he loved so much. I would hope to also hate my sins and confess them to God seeking forgiveness as soon as I realize I have done so.
I hope to be sensitive to the "pricking" of the Holy Spirit" when He shows me a Scripture that speaks to my failure to do what is righteous before God and man. This is what God wants us to do-come to Him with all our sin and failures to honor Him as God and judge, whenever we fail to praise and thank Him as we ought-and confess to Him our sins. He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us as 1 John 1 says.
So sorry Cheryl but I am not a sinner. I stopped "sinning" when I accepted Christ as my Savior and became a Christian. I do have weaknesses and faults that the Holy Spirit is helping me overcome as I grow in the Lord. You are mistaking faults and weaknesses with "sin" and this is a very dangerous doctrine as it could lead someone to believe they can be saved and also enjoy a worldly life because they cannot "help" sinning. Sinners go to hell for eternity when they die, the bible is very clear on that and saints are in God's Prescence when they die. These are two completely different eternities. If you are a true believer you cannot be a sinner because Jesus very plainly said darkness and light cannot mix. If you still want to call me a sinner - please explain, with scripture, what your definition of sin is and what sins I am guilty of committing every day of my life with the Lord. God Bless :)

Good afternoon, Momsage, I am one who thinks that faults and propensities in our personalities and character can be considered sinful. If one has a quick temper, is easily provoked, unwilling to forgive offenses, is self-seeking, envies, prideful, thinks evil thoughts, or any number of "faults' or "weaknesses" one is sinning with these faults/weaknesses when we give in and let them be expressed. See 1 Corinthians 13
If I have tendencies to complain, gossip, talk behind another's back, be lazy when I should do what task I need to do each day, fail to give my husband attention and affection and care to fill up his need-all these are sinful. It is highly probable that you have faults such as these or others that when you read of them in Scripture the Holy Spirit pricks your heart. We are to live godly lives in this wicked generation, especially in our own home and with our family and close friends. We are to practice keeping a guard on our hearts and minds and actions with diligence.
If you read I Corinthians 13 and find that you do not always follow what it says about love, then you can know you are failing to love as God wants us to. Loving others is a really huge aspect of obedience to God's ways. And one area that I don't think ANYONE can do rightly 100% of the time in their lives even as a believer.
Glad to see that you are feeling better. Always feels so good to be feeling good after an illness! Thank the Lord!
Momsage. I do not ant to get into a long discussion about this topic as we have discussed this recently pretty thoroughly. I just wanted to respond to your statement of not being a sinner. I will be glad to hear your response, but please understand if I do not engage in a lengthy discussion.
Yes, thank 'you Lord God' for bringing Mr. Harris out of his addiction. "Heavenly Father, I ask that you be w/him daily being the 'footprints in the sand' till he is strong enough in You to walk beside you & Lord let him feel the peace that passes all understanding receiving yur All & keeping his weakness at bay. In Christ Jesus me I pray, Amen".!
They say, and I Completly Disagree, 'once addicted always addicted'. That in it self is a weakness you must let go of. For Only Gods daily word, unconditional love, forgivness (past, present & future), peace that He will help you through surpassing All understanding & His strength beyond compare can keep you from such. Yet if you have that saying in the bk of yur mind 'Im weak' you shall continue to be. Let go & let God has great meaning my friend.! It's awesome & Nothing can lead you away, you'll want to do ANYthing for Christ Even be able to spread His word w/out fear.! Take care Morgan, God bless, 'Texsis'.
Oh Morgan, I am so glad that God has done this good work in you unto salvation and also freedom from addiction. I pray that you will be held firm in your faith and kept by God in refusing to become a user again. I pray that God will strengthen you in every way needed to live this new life He has granted You. he has made you new in Christ and He will complete the work begun in you.
I John was written to combat the beginnings of Gnosticism. Gnostic is from the Greek word that means knowledge.
The Gnostics claimed to have special knowledge that no one else could know unless they were one of the initiated ones.
These false teachers and teachings arose from within the church.
Gnostic doctrine was based on dualism which asserted that physical matter was inherently evil and spirit was good.
At the time John was leading the churches in Asia, Gnosticism had two main groups.
1. Docetics taught that Jesus's physical body was not real but only seemed to be physical. This is known as asceticism from a Greek word that means "to appear."
2. Cerenthians taught that Christ's Spirit descended upon the human Jesus at his baptism, but left him just before the crucifixion.
The main teaching about Jesus from this movement denied the Lord's humanity in order to support the Lord's sinless nature.
Is there something specific that you are looking for in 1 John?
The way I see it in Ezekiel 41 this temple is of the Lord that is during the 1,000 year reign of Christ for those who died in Childbirth or abortions. They have the opportunity to have faith in Christ or animal sacrifices choice.
Isaiah 11:6 children playing with dangerous snakes and no hurt.
in Isaiah 11:7 the Lion will eat straw so this is future event
Matthew 22:30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God IN HEAVEN. in the kingdom if there is no marriage where do kids come from?
They were likely aborted and given a chance to grow up.
The Temple the jews build is for the antichrist till they understand the wrong messiah.
This temple was prophesied by Ezekiel. The Jews would return home and rebuild the temple of God. But it eventually was destroyed too. God said he would write his name on the hearts of the ppl. With Christ, there is no need for a temple or a high priest
