    Preventest,as it is used in this and other scriptures,means to go before.The story,the unfolding of events,the scriptures reveal to us that believe that God wins and his enemies lose."despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?"Rom2:4 While there is time,believe on the Lord Jesus and be saved.
