    Gene Short, Jesus Christ is the Son God, was promised to Abraham thru the tribe of Judah (which David was and Joseph and Mary was also tribe of judah) Joseph was Jesus step father because Jesus was born of the virgin Mary. the seed of David that is to say is the fulfillment of prophesy of please read Matthew chapter 1. please read genesis chapter 5 and chapter 11 also.
