Bible Discussion Thread

Does anyone else ever have trouble staying focused during prayers to our father? I pray every morning and ok, sometimes I fall asleep before I can finish. I like it to be the first thing that I do before any other function but at times , I'm not even fully awake. Would I be wrong in this? Does anyone else feel that satan attempts to disrupt our prayers up to the father?

i feel the same way and ask myself the same thing lol .Every night before bed ill say my prayers ill say our father , hail mary and act of contrition and it seems by the time i get to hail mary or even our father i fall asleep and if I'm wide awake not even that tired i find myself messing up or start thinking of other things . I never thought of it that way of evil stopping me or messing me up .

Matthew 6:7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. Chantel..the hail mary and act of contrition are "vain repetitions" after a while a person does not even think when saying them it's just by habit.. I'm not condemning but just saying..
