THE GREAT DEEP: When the Deluge overwhelmed the earth, the bodies of the offspring of the fallen angels perished, though their disembodied spirits lived on. When the waters of the flood receded, the place of their abode still remained under the sea and it became the place of their perpetual grave, where their spirits were chained in the darkness of the great deep. Perhaps, too, the fallen angels themselves, because of their sins, were chained in the same location where the spirits of their offspring found a grave, for Peter tells us God did not spare the angels that sinned, but cast them into chains of darkness.
