The real SABBATH is the day mentioned in the Bible, the seventh -day of the week, Saturday. The Sabbath is the fourth commandment , Ex. 20:8-11. In the NT Jesus taught that the Sabbath was made for man and not man for the Sabbath. Mark 2:27,28. We follow Christ teaching, as it was His custom He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath. Luke 4:16. John 14:15, Ezekiel 20:12,16,20, Rev. 22:14
The 1st day of the week is Sunday. The last day of the week is Saturday. That would make Saturday the Sabbath as outlined in the Old Testament. The New Testament church is not under the old law, but under the new covenant. God does not dwell in tabernacles as in the Old Testament, but indwells in all true believers in the New Testament. That will take some reading and praying.
Steve. God does not change. Hebrews 13:8 He is the same yesterday today and forever..God did not change between the OT and NT..He still expects us to be obedient to Him. Please study it out, it's all there is you will ask Him to guide you into all truth.
Dear Seventh day is sabbath. The 7th day is still the Sabbath. Jesus' blood is the all time blood sacrifice for sin atonement. We do not follow the commandments given to Israel by Moses, we have a better covenant given to us by Jesus Christ. The Old has passed away...
Yes! the 7th day is still God's Sabbath. Since God does not change Hebrews 13:8 His law 10 commandments are still binding..Read Matt.22:36-40. The 1st 4 are commandments that tell us we should love God with all our heart and the last 6 commandments are to tell us to do the same for fellow man. All 10 are in effect today as much as in the beginning. Blessings!
Dear Seventh Day is Sabbath. Maybe you can help. How was anyone saved prior to the 10 Commandments given to Moses? How were those souls saved from Adam to Noah? The reason I am asking is that God does not change, but this world has changed, and how God treats us is different. God does not treat you, or I, the same way He did Enoch, or Moses. The Old has passed away...
