Is Jeremiah 10 referring to the cutting of Christmas trees?
  • Church - In Reply - 5 years ago
Yes, a Christmas tree is a Idol

Church could you please Confirm with Scripture that a Christmas Tree is part of Pagan Idolatry. The Trees mentioned in Scripture that were used in Pagan Worship had their gods engraved on them and they adorned them with Gold and Silver, see my previous Comment when it's Posted for the Scriptures. But if anyone is Worshiping a Christmas Tree than yes they do indeed need Help.

Revelation 9:20 See verse in context And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of - WOOD -: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk: trees are made of wood

Jeremiah 10 1-3 1Hear ye the word which the LORD speaketh unto you, O house of Israel: 2Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven for the heathen are dismayed at them. 3For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe.

Church, those Verses in Contex confirm their not about ChristmasTrees which aren't engraved with images of Pagan gods and like Statues we don't Worship them this would be Spiritual Idolatry 2Chr34:3-4 Hos11:2 God knows our Hearts at Christmas we give Thanks for Jesus our Greatest Gift. God had Ordements or Symbols in the Tabernacle and in other places1Kin6-1Kin7-Eze7:20-Hos10:1 but not to Worship.

It is quite incredible, the power and hold that Christmas has on even very mature and bible wise people. The seeds that are planted in our childhood days grow into the strongest trees pun intended both good and bad. Anyone who carries out any research on the Christmas tree would quickly seed how pagan it has always been. 'Come out of her my people'

Garry the Scriptures Confirm Christ-mas and Easter when we remember them today and the Carols share their Reality too. Without Christ-mas there would have been no Easter and without Easter there would have no need for Christ-mas. Crosses were made from Trees and as our Christ-mas Tree glows brightly it reminds us Jesus brought Light into the Darkness by God's Loving and Merciful Gift of Salvation.

Dear friend, thanks for your comments. Your statement regarding the scriptures confirming these holidays today makes no real sense, where does the bible confirm such dates? In fact the bible tells us nowhere to observe any such times, it does teach clearly for Gods children to stay away from any connection to paganism. Do the research. 'Come out of her my people' regards G.

Sorry Garry, I was hacked so I had problems Posting but I will respond tomorrow with the confirmation of Christmas in Scripture which does confirm when Jesus was Born too and as we read tbe Gospels and SIng Carols giving Thanks to our Lord we realise the importance of remembering Jesus' Birth. Pagans may have Poluted Christmas with their focus but not in our Hearts and that's what is important.

Garry you asked for Scripture about Christmas and I will share it my next Comment Carols and all of God's Songs He tells us to Sing as they are also Confirmed in Scripture so we Learn through them too Eph5:19-21 Col3:16-17 Knowing God's Truth Protects us from evil deception that is why we ask for His Wisdom I will share again after Church today about Christmas. Praying our Abba Father Blesses you.

Dear Garry, Cult Members also reject Christmas and sadly Jesus Divinity too as part of The Godhead or Trinity as we call Them today whIch means they are believing in and worshiping a god of their own understanding they have been deceived by false teachers I have shared the Scripture that confirm the Truth they reject including Christmas but their own Bibles have had Truth deleted and error added.

Garry, Zechariah and his wife were much older than 50years and past child bearing age but God gave them John Luke1 We can see that Zechariah was doing the duties of a High Priest because of his age and what was happening outside. Mary 3mths Pregnant visited Elisabeth when she was 6mths and this is how we can know Jesus was Born in December. God would have it recorded how and when Jesus was Born.
  • GA in Truth - In Reply - 5 years ago
Garry it should have read Mary was 3mths Pregnant when Elizabeth gave Birth to John so 6 mths later Jesus was Born in December. Mary first visited Elizabeth just after Jesus was Conceived in her by The Holy Ghost Lk1 which Confirms He is Emanuel God in the Flesh and being part of The Godhead or Trinity as They are called today is One with The Father and The Holy Ghost in Spirit too 1Jn5:7-Jn10:30.
