    He warned not to listen to Pharisees, and Sadducees they spend their time teaching the word yet they no not who they speak of is standing in front of them. Peter was chosen to be the Rock of His Church when He was to leave them, Jesus did speak of satan sifting Peter. Peter told Him who he was and knew the word of God that His son was to die on the cross, how Jesus knew it was satan speaking. GB

    Peter was not the rock that Jesus was referring to. (but that's what the Catholics believe.) Jesus was referring to himself. Upon this rock (Jesus) I will build my church.
