    What does it mean that God created man in Genesis 1:27 and then again in Genesis 2:7?

    Gen 1:27 refer to celestial men Angels , Gen 2.7 refer to Adam as Earthly man

    Dear Nancy, it's my opinion that this is simply the writer saying generally at the beginning an overview of what happened, then secondly it states the detail of how it happened. This is common in how people talk or deliver information. Also, Gen 1:1 said the heaven and earth were created and done, so one could likewise assume 1:2 and beyond is all somehow a second earth? No, we all know its an overview or thesis.
